Had an incredible day on the water snorkeling with turtles, pigs (lol) and visiting multiple different islands and reefs. We had 6 in our party and everything was handled including transportation from the cruise dock, snorkeling gear and even beverages. Because we were a larger group it was a no brainer to book private vs. a large charter where you’re herded like cattle onto a big boat. Will definitely book again next time we are in Bahamas. Book with confidence!

I had to get in touch with the company to confirm how to arrange transportation a few days before our excursion. I was concerned about meeting up since we were travelling in on a cruise without cell service. Desiree has her own car service and got in touch with me via what's app before we departed the ship with our wifi and gave very detailed directions on where to meet her. She was a pro and I highly recommend her for anyone needing Nassau transportation. We were dropped off at the marina about 5 min away where Capt Bodie met us. Bodie was excellent and was open to how we wanted our snorkeling outing to look. We wanted to know that we could just go park on an island if need be as some of our crew tends to get sea sick. We first went to snorkel over a fabulous reef and swam with the turtles. We then went and relaxed at Rose Island where the peacocks were roaming around. He gave us lots of interesting insight and information on different landmarks and houses as we passed them including Michael Jordan and Tiger Wood's properties. We knew we weren't getting a top of the line boat based on reviews. We really just wanted a "boat taxi" to get us to our desired destinations. Needless to say, the engine on this boat was way too small for the size of the boat. (Picture Harry and Lloyd on the Dumb and Dumber scooter). In perfect conditions, it got the job done, but I would be concerned if weather was an issue or if you were on a tight tight schedule. The boat itself was the size of my dad's ski boat back home, but the engine was not the original. Would we do it again? Absolutely. We got to snorkel the same GREAT reef and swim with the same turtles that the people in the nice boats did. Although, I would probably try to pay a little more and get a bigger boat if possible. Also, bring your own fins if you like fins. The masks and snorkels provided worked great, but no fins were available. I wish I had known as we had ours on the ship. We really liked Bodie and are so glad we did this outing.

Thank you for booking again and for your very detailed review, we have multiple boats we use depending on the size of the group , the boat you guys went on had a 250hp engine which is actually more power than recommended for the particular vessel, , it’s a hurricane fun deck with spacious seating compared to your dad “ski boat” , apologize you didn’t get a top of the line yacht for the affordable pricing we offer , we are elated you guys enjoyed the experience , see you soon . 🇧🇸

I was nervous about booking an independent tour for our cruise vacation, but Bahamas Land and Sea Tours provided good customer service before and during our trip. Our tour started about 30 minutes late, which caused some stress, but the company did a good job answering the phone and communicating with us. Captain Bode was fun and professional, and took us to some beautiful snorkeling spots away from the crowds. The weather turned on us and he was responsible about getting us to safety. While we were always able to get going, the BLAST 2 seems like it could really use a new engine. The boat is not fancy but gets the job done. Overall a fun trip at a good price. Coming off a cruise ship, we appreciated the included and plentiful snacks and drinks. Beware the rum punch- it is strong!!

Bought the 1/2 day excursion as part of our anniversary trip as we are experienced boaters. The boat we believed we reserved (from the photo on the website) was bigger than what awaited us when we arrived at the dock. There were only 2 of us, but the boat was something you would take on a small lake, not on the open ocean and certainly not on the breezy Caribbean. There were no visible life jackets and none offered, no life line and no throw buoy. The trip was to be scuba at a reef; swimming with the turtles, and swimming from a private beach. When we reached the reef, the captain spent 1/2 an hour attempting to anchor the boat but couldn’t
due to the small anchor and how choppy the sea was. Wife wouldn’t leave the boat because she didn’t feel it was safe; I only got in to get at least something for my money. Scuba time ended quickly due to captan’s inability to anchor. The turtle swim was ok, a bit underwhelming, and my wife still would not go in the water for fear of her safety. All other boats at these locations were significantly larger than our boat and even the captain appeared embarrassed by its size. On the way back to land, the boat was taking on water and the engine ceased to function. The captain called in 3x for help by radio and no one responded. The captain eventually got the motor running again. According to him, we were “lucky” that he knew mechanics or else we’d have been stuck at sea. Very scary trip, and my wife and I were grateful that we got back to the dock without further incident. Not at all a safe operation, and to say we truly enjoyed any part of it would be a joke. Waste of money and half a day — thankful to get away with our lives!

Before all trips start everyone has the choice to not go on the vessel at the dock if they do not feel safe, you guys did the whole charter with no complaints , it’s unfortunate you did not enjoy your trip at the stops and within your half day and it was not up to your standard , thank you for booking with us .

Captain Kennedy and his first mate Mouse were excellent hosts on private half day charter. They took us to an excellent location for snorkeling. The fish were vibrant and the reef was amazing. We swam with 6 turtles during the swimming with the turtles portion of the charter. Lastly, we beached on Rose Cay and spent an hour swimming in the most beautiful clear water imaginable.
Overall I would highly recommend a charter with Captain Kennedy and Mouse. My family and I will rebook with them on our next trip to Nassau.

We booked this trip prior to leaving the UK via British Airways for myself, husband and 5 year old daughter. A few days before our charter, Captain Kennedy emailed to discuss pick up. Upon arriving at the docks, we were met by Captain Boats (Jermaine) and Mouse. Both gentlemen were incredibly warm and welcoming and were very knowledgeable. After snorkelling one of the reefs, which was amazing, we were then taken to Rose Island where Mouse knew exactly where to find the turtles. Following swimming with the turtles we were then taken to a private beach, which was simply breathtaking.
From start to finish, the trip itself and the crew were absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend this company.

Had a great time with Captain T and Mouse (our crew.). The destinations - Rose Island, Gilligans Island and Paradise Island were spectacular. We snorted at multiple locations and saw numerous tropical fish and swam amongst the turtles. Family friendly trip for family of 6 with 4 teens. Young children might get fidgety due to smaller boat size.
The size and condition of the small charter boat was OK, however at times the outboard engine ran poorly - lots of exhaust and slipping gears at high speeds. After our final stop at Rose Island, the crew were able to make minor repairs and we had a thrilling ride back to the Marina.
Be aware you will be in direct sun for most of the trip and to bring lots of sunscreen, hats, etc. Snorkel gear, drinks, and light snacks were available.
The size and condition of the small charter boat was OK, however at times the outboard engine ran poorly - lots of exhaust and slipping gears at high speeds. After our final stop at Rose Island, the crew were able to make minor repairs and we had a thrilling ride back to the Marina.

Had a blast!!! The 4 hour tour was a great experience for the whole family. Went snorkeling at a beautiful reef, swimming with turtles, and spent quality time at the Rose Island. Captain Isaac is great with kids, super friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour

We had a fantastic time on our trip with Captain Bodie. This was our second year with this tour operator. We enjoy the opportunity to get out on the water and visit different snorkeling sites. Both years our captains have been hospitable, knowledgeable and relaxed. We will undoubtably return in future years.

No I do not believe so. The boat we took was not as big as the boat we took to the Exumas to see the pigs. Our tour to the Exumas was 8.5 hours.
