About the operator
- Inspiration43796800Wonderful experience! Our guide contacted us the night before to confirm pick-up details and arrived on time. The tour was amazing! Stopped for shopping, and many historical stops around the island along with a great, detailed explanation of sights and thugs we saw along the way. Highly recommend!! Snacks and drinks were appreciated and enjoyed!
- 266summertraveler00St.Thomas Mini VacayGodfrey himself was our tour guide. We loved the tour! We did a four and a half hour tour on our first full day on St. Thomas. It was great to see all the sights and highlights of the island. It helped to give us the lay of the land and to figure out what we wanted to further explore. Godfrey was very knowledgeable and gave us the history of St.Thomas. The tour was very reasonably price and well worth it! I would highly recommend it!
- K307RIeileeng00Sightseeing and shopping tourWe just came back from the most wonderful 2.5 hour tour of St. Thomas! Godfrey took us all around the island, and is so knowledgeable about the islands history! He picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off, at our request, in downtown Charlotte Amalie so we could go for a bite to eat. Highly recommend this tour!!!
- Sparticus6200April 2023 US VI tour.Godfrey provided a very thorough tour of the island. He was intent on us to learn about the island. Clearly a man proud of his company and island. My only suggestion: We found the four hour tour comprehensive but a but shortening to 150min would still make it excellent.
- Tenley C00Good Way to See St. ThomasThe tour operator, Godfrey, was nice and very knowledgeable. However, there were 5 cruise ships in port the day we took the tour. All the extra traffic meant that we spent more time at the "shopping" location at the beginning of the tour because Godfrey had to go get a large group from another ship. We aren't big shoppers and really booked the tour so we could see St. Thomas. Our tour finished an hour after we expected, but we did not miss ship departure time. The tour bus is open air - which is nice. However, my husband is 6 feet tall and had to duck down to be able to see the "sights" and he was sitting on the outside of the bus. One suggestion for Godfrey: when customers make a complaint about something, just apologize and let it go. Don't argue with the customers and imply that we asked you not to go back for the other people in the group - just accept that someone had a complaint. Overall, I would recommend this tour. None of the delays, etc. were the fault of the tour operator.
- deniseX2523YL00An amazing tour! This was an amazing tour, and the cost was so economical! We saw so many things, Mountain Top, Drakes Seat, downtown for a bit of breakfast and shopping! Magens Beach, Coki Beach, and so much more! Thank you Godfrey’s Tours, for making an amazing trip even more amazing!
- catcatee00Godfrey Tours is the BEST tour!Godfrey himself was our tour guide for the day. He was very professional and knowledgeable. We learned lots about the history of St. Thomas and events that have shaped the island over the past several years. We stopped a few times for pictures, shopping and more information. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend if your cruise stops in St. Thomas for the day.
- 395rochellep00Godfrey toursPick up time was changed due to cruise ship time. Very fast tour. Jump on,jump off. Guide was knowledgeable
- Jxnray700Fun trip and great scenery!Godfrey was very friendly, and very knowledgeable about the island. He stopped often and would give us plenty of time to take pictures and ask questions. We went to a few beaches, lots of shops in Charlotte Amalie, Red Hook, The Mountaintop, and many other unique locations. He made the trip fun and educational, and the narrow, steep roads made it exciting! The only downside was that the sides of the canopy on the truck came down so far that we had to lean down and forward the whole time to be able to see out from under it. If we had been at the top of the hills the whole time it wouldn’t have been a problem, but when you’re at the bottom trying to look up it was very challenging. Overall it was a good experience, but I left with a sore neck
- Traveler76825300Amazing experienceThe Godfrey tour was AMAZING!!! I highly recommended this tour. The customer service was excellent!!
- tiffanysD224HV00Ok tourIt was ok. It felt like a taxi that took us to a few places. They were 30 minute late and we had to go look for our tour. Our driver was nice and called out a few things we were looking at. We went to a scenic point and had a good banana daiquiri. We then went to a cute, but really busy Coki beach. We then were dropped off at the ship at little after 5pm. The tour was supposed to be six hour and felt like we could get one more stop in. Giving two stars for the value and product.
- abroadcity00Great value, amazing views and commentarySo happy I booked this tour! I was traveling alone on St Thomas for a few days, had already booked a snorkel trip for another day, and wanted an affordable way to sightsee around the island and learn some of its history. For the first stop in Charlotte Amalie, we got time to browse the downtown shops and food stalls. I stopped by the local synagogue, where they happened to be giving a tour. I spent about half my time there and the rest picking up souvenirs and snacks. After that we stopped at Mountain Top, where the guide pointed out sights, recounted how the area had developed, and explained some facts of life on the island (e.g. how they use cisterns for drinking water, or how tax codes have affected property owners). I tried the famous banana daiquiri, shopped for some more souvenirs, and enjoyed the view. After that, we visited a few more stunning lookout points, with the guide highlighting points of interest along the way. It was really eye-opening to see how much of the island had been devastated by the hurricanes in 2017. We also stopped at a couple beaches, with the option to get off and explore, before being dropped off at our hotels. I thought the tour did a great job of mixing classic touristy stuff with cultural/historical context. I absolutely loved taking in views from the open-air taxi. Plus, the tour was a super good deal - I think just to take a taxi to Charlotte Amalie from where I was staying in the East End would have cost around $40 roundtrip. Highly recommend booking this tour to explore the island!
- brookedOR00Great way to see IslandTour was fun and informative. Our tour guide was a wealth of information about the Islands, although did repeat himself often. We had all the refreshments and snacks we wanted! And the drinks were ice cold, which is fantastic with the hot and humid weather of the islands!! Loved the open air seating, but the best views were from the end seats The middle seats couldn't see much due to the canopy top. For a full four plus hours, the price is super reasonable.
- Coastal76550700Top Notch Tour of Saint ThomasGodfrey’s tour of the island was amazing and worth every dollar! He is very knowledgeable about the island and surrounding US Virgin Islands. This is a great way to learn about Saint Thomas, have a fun time, and meet fellow travelers. It was a major plus being picked up and dropped off at our condo. We received a confirmation call the night before the trip. Which was also very helpful. We will definitely use Godfrey Tours again!
- aprylbalmir00Awesome!This was such a fun and informative tour. We learned so much about St. Thomas and saw so many beautiful things. There was time to take pictures and time for shopping. The tour guide was so accommodating for all of the people on the tour for time for drop off and pick up due to cruise ship times or hotels. We definitely enjoyed this tour and highly recommend it.

Picked up right off of our cruise ship. Godfrey was very informative about the island and provided all sorts of stats and history. He was friendly and made sure to offer snacks and water often. If you want to do a land tour and learn the history of the island, he is perfect to book with and he's the most reasonably priced I had found.
Everybody has different interests, but for me, I could have spent more time at Magens Bay and less time shopping. Mavens Bay is gorgeous and had a great swimming area. I went along the rocks and saw many little fish and a couple crab. I didn't have snorkel gear, but if I had, it would have been even better. Don't forget money for an entrance fee, if you stay to experience Magens Bay.

Absolutely amazing tour island and experience! So happy we booked with Godfrey Tours he was so great we learned and saw the entire island we got to shop where locals shop and truly see what the island was all about. He took us to a beautiful beach. He provided water and snacks. He made sure we were at the boat on time. This was the best tour we've taken and fpe a 3rd of the price as the crusie ship wanted to charge us. Save money and don't feel rushed book with Godfrey !!

We signed up 2 days ago for the morning of 5/12 We wanted to make sure so we tried to contact Godfrey Tours with no success. Both phone and Email did not work. We spent many hours on trying to contact Godfrey.
Finally, early on the morning of our tour, we get a text that the tour was canceled because they did not have enough people signed up.
There's no excuse for not being able to be in contact with the Tour operator.

Godfrey offers the best tours for the lowest price we could find on St. Thomas. Our group of 6 ranged in age from 8 to 75 years old. We were on a cruise ship and the shore excursions offered by the cruise line were more expensive and less flexible than what was offered by Godfrey Tours. He is very knowledgeable about St. Thomas and the surrounding islands. Book directly with him for the best value!

Godfrey was great. Personable and knowledgeable. Our family had a great experience. This tour is considerably cheaper than the others but just as good, if not better. Definitely recommend.

It was a good value for the cost but it would've been even better if the "shopping" portion was either cut out or made to be no more than 30-45 mins. It was too long. By the time you go on to the other stops, you are ready for the beach. Some of us didn't bother to get off at some of the other stops because we just wanted to go to the beach eventually. The shopping part made the whole tour feel long. Just book the beach trip instead if you don't want to "shop". If you want to shop or go for breakfast or lunch, it would be great for you! I give it 5 stars still because the concept is a good one. The guide was professional. He was certainly trying to stick to the tour schedule and was still verbally giving tour info about the history to those who came off the vehicle and those who didn't come off.

Godfrey went out of his way to make sure everyone had a positive experience. We changed our booking half way through the experience and he accommodated it with a smile. What a fantastic day we had. He even offered to pick us up and drop us off where we needed to be. I’d highly recommend any tours he offers. Great stories told along the way as well as historical references. What a great day. Thank you!
