We are staying on Tobago but after seeing the BBC Wild Caribbean program about Caroni we decided to get a flight and book a tour of Port of Spain, Maracas Beach and Caroni Siunset boat tour through Island Experiences - brilliant service from start to finish - very responsive to emails and answered all our questions promptly - picked up from Trinidad airport by Orlando and had a really informative tour of the city (a lovely guy to chat to and a really great mix of things to see and do) then drove to Maracas Beach stopping on the way to try local snacks and take beautiful pictures from look out points. Great recommendation from Orlando for shark 'n' bake lunch and then to Caroni for the most amazing sunset tour with Lester Nanan - saw screech owl, masked cardinals, ani, a flock of over 100 flamingoes and hundreds of scarlet ibis coming home to roost to name just a few of the many beautiful sights - perfect day trip to 'Trini' went without a hitch - thank you Island Experiences!

Island experiences My wife and I had such a great experience with island experiences. Khaleel was our guide and driver and brought us first to Yerette hummingbird sanctuary which was fantastic in terms of the display of hummingbirds there to observe and appreciate. But we spent more time receiving a lecture than actually getting time to view hummingbirds which was somewhat frustrating…I love learning but considering I could learn this info at any time and will not be able to see a single hummingbird for 6months once I return home…this was not a very balanced experience (obviously not island experiences fault but just putting it out there). Then we went to maracas beach and relaxed and ate some bake and shark. Khalil was incredible company the entire time, my wife and I chatted up a storm with him the whole day. He was kind, informative (very knowledgeable!), and charismatic. And island experiences’ flexibility with catering this day for us was greatly appreciated. Would highly recommend reaching out to island experiences to help with your Trinidad trip experiences to anyone!

Tour of local produce market , San Fernando Hill look out / Famous last train from San Fernando plus Temple in the sea and 85ft statue of Lord Hanuman, absolutely brilliant and informative tour - jighly recommend.

Our guide and driver Orlando was amazing, friendly, and informative. Ensured that my mum with mobility issues was looked after, on the way to the beach, and also at the beach. Overall, a great experience, from booking, all the way to the trip.

What made the experience unforgettable was our tour guide, Junior! Safe driving, professional and friendly, knowledgeable about the culture and history of Trinidad and Tobago and most importantly, down to earth and attentive to our needs. The journey to and from Maracas, was enlightening and entertaining. I now have gained new knowledge about " country life" in Maracas village and the appreciated simple innocence of its people. The highlight of the trip, of course, for me was the scenic breathtaking look out, and the overall atmosphere on the beach. The friendly staff at the local restaurants, the delicious bake and shark with its tasty flavorful condiments and the warm water of the sea. I didn't want to leave the Positive vibes such a contrast from an otherwise hectic stressful life. All Trinis should take advantage of this treasure and create your own "staycation" Be your own tourist at home. Awesome day!!

Great experience with Khaleel. On time pick up from our hotel and he explained the overview of the tour. We asked him to make the last stop at a recommended food stop which wasn't included but he helped us order our lunch which was much appreciated. Tour was great and very interesting and Khaleel is very easy to get on with and a great driver! Would use the company again if we return to Trinidad.

Just my friend and I on tour which was perfect. Khaleel was great at giving us a historical review of the island. It definitely was worth the price and would highly recommend!

My son (11 years) and I did the day trips: Caroni swamp, mud volcano, turtle watching, beach-hopping (coastal tour), Avocat waterfall hike and Asa Wright eco-lodge visit. All were great and good value for money.

What a wonderful and refreshing tour! Khaleel has such a welcoming and easygoing personality. He took his time and explained the sights around. He is patient and answers your questions. Being in Port of Spain during the Independence weekend was lovely to see how the buildings were decorated with Pride! Fort George has the most stunning views of the capital and west side!

I was visiting Trinidad for the first time with my son's football team and had one day to see some of the island. I was based in Port of Spain and took the Eco-cultural experience with Khaleel as my tour guide. I was nervous about being a lone female traveler as I had been warned by my hotel that ensuring personal safety was very important in Trinidad, but cannot stress how safe I felt on this tour which was just the two of us as it was off season. I was put at ease the moment he collected me at my hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting all the historic and natural sites with a very knowledgeable tour guide. I highly recommend this tour and Khaleel!
