What an awesome experience! Anthony is an excellent host teaching us some of the history of Trinidad. Followed up with some delicious food, doubles, pies and of course delicious roti. If we make it back will definitely reach out to Anthony again! I'm sure he could show us more as we were on a cruise ship so time was limited.

We were looking for something to familiarize us with Trinidad and this did the trick. we tasted delicious foods, explored a few different local markets, and learned about the history and culture of the country as we drove around. Highly recommend! Especially eating doubles :)

Unfortunately our flight was delayed so we could not make the tour but Anthony was really great and gave us an option of a full refund or to move the tour to another day. Really professional correspondence throughout so I would definitely recommend this tour operator.

This might be the best tour we have ever taken. The tour takes you to places that a visitor would never find to sample true Trini food experiences. From roadside stands to street corner food stalls to hidden gems, this tour will provide you with a belly full of delicious flavours and a heart full of lifelong memories. Anthony is a tremendous guide: knowledgeable, personable and entertaining. You will learn not just about the food, but where it fits in the history and culture of Trinidad. He even stopped by the panyards so we could catch the island rhythms. We took this tour on our first night in Trinidad and can’t think of a better way to get to know the soul of the island. We recommend it VERY highly.

We had a full day tour with Anthony covering the North, West and Center of Trinidad and had an amazing time. The tour included some sights we wanted to see but also other sights Anthony recommended. If you only have one tour to do in Port of Spain, this is the company to go with! From my first email to Anthony, to him dropping us off at the airport, everything went smoothly, and amazingly! We actually did two tours with him; The Port of Spain food tour, and the Trinidad Nighttime food tour. The first one started off with a pick up at our hotel sharply at 9am. We went and had a typical Trinidadian breakfast, followed by a small historical tour of Port of Spain. We saw various sites including the last stop being the astonishing views atop Fort George. The second tour started with Anthony picking us up sharply at 5pm from the international airport. We stopped at the Mount St Benedict Monastery, where we were treated to stunning views of the city below. We then embarked on the food tour which included 5 stops. The foods were; Corn Soup, Geera Pork, Doubles, Beef Roti, and finished off with the local homemade ice cream. Every street vendors Anthony picked were different, yet all awesome. My personal 2 favorites have to be the Geera Pork sandwich which was so delicious! The Beef Roti was also spectacular, with tender beer, potatoes, and rolled in a warm soft "tortilla" style bread. Being a Tour Operator myself, I cant speak highly enough on Anthony's phenomenal customer service skills, and outstanding professionalism! I wouldn't choose anyone else to show me around Port of Spain. Two thumbs way up to Anthony for an unforgettable experience!

THE TOUR This was the best tour we had in Port of Spain — we did Anthony’s Cocoa Estate Tour. He picked us up in a comfy minivan and drove us around in it throughout the day. The tour consisted of an 1) Arepa breakfast (Anthony takes you to a good authentic spot), 2) visit to a cocoa estate where you learn how chocolate is made 😋😋😋 - includes a chocolate bar from the estate at the end of the visit, 3) visit to a chocolate shop Later in Port if Spain - you get to enjoy some chocolate “tea” and have the option to buy some great, natural, cocoa-infused products. My BF desperately needed something to keep his hair nice and moisturized after years of dousing it with chemical-filled products, so we got a cocoa hair mask and more! You HAVE to do the cocoa estate tour. You’ll be mindblown at what goes into making that chocolate bar you like to eat — but be warned: you may never go back to eating the fake chocolate stuff again. 😉😉 THE VALUE Anthony went above and beyond what the original tour itinerary outlined. He truly wanted us to have a well-rounded experience. There wasn’t a dull moment during the tour — I picked up so many interesting facts, and way more here than I did during a longer tour we did two days earlier. I not only learned about the cocoa industry, and its historical ties to Trinidad, but the history behind T&T overall, and everything this beautiful country has to offer. I feel a lot more appreciative of the island and its people. ANTHONY Going on a tour with Anthony is like having a close friend show you around his favorite spots — he’s super informative, down-to-earth, and wants you to enjoy yourself. If for whatever reason a tour you wanted to take with him is unavailable, just pick whatever is!! It’s worth it to have Anthony as your guide! My BF says: “He will give you an authentic experience.” OVERALL 12/10 experience — just do it! I will be telling my friends and family about it and recommending Trinidad Food Tours left and right.

I did both the food and the zip line tour with Anthony. He was very accommodating, even with my booking last minute over the phone. He definitely gives a good tour, sharing in a lot of history and information about this island nation and it's vibrant culture. Worth the time and cash.

We had already been here a few days when we had a tour with Anthony, and he did NOT disappoint! He was super laid back and cool, we had tons of fun chatting it up with him about Trinidad and its history. Our trip to the green market allowed us to have the best breakfast I think I ever had!!! Fantastic tour given to us by Anthony. The organic market was closed because of the holidays so Anthony gave us an option to do a Port of Spain tour with the produce market tour which we agreed to and that actually worked out fantastic. Anthony brought us to three different food locations for breakfast and snacks which we never would have found on our own or with a big tour and it was great. His van is very clean and up to date, he is very knowledgeable about his island and easy to be around. We will recommend his tour to our friends coming in Feb. And we went where there were no other cruise passengers!!

Anthony Luces, Owner/Guide of Trinidad Food Tours is one of the most learned, courteous and gentlemanly persons I have encountered in my world travels. He is trusting and negotiable. Being impressed during the short ride to the hotel, I engaged him for a tour of Northern Trinidad. He not only kept his original promise but volunteered to, additionally, show us around Central Trinidad in his late model, air-conditioned mini-van. Moreover, he permitted me to pay him via paypal at my own convenience; his payment was made several days after service was rendered. He is, indeed, trusting!
