Really great trip! Would Defo recommend. A**** Service
The trip was lovely and the staff too. They made sure we were safe whilst having fun. A staff member by the name of Niques especially was very professional and met all our needs. Service was fantastic. Would definitely recommend. A****

    Great beach trip
The half-day to Maracas beach with Island Experiences was a great trip, especially if you have limited time. Convenient pick-up from major hotels, smooth trip with stop-offs to eat doubles and see viewpoints on the way to the beach. Khalil was a knowledgeable and laid-back guide. The beach exceeded my expectations - when we went on a Saturday in late September it was not at all crowded. It's a beautiful setting with no ugly high-rise hotels to spoil the view. Great beach-shacks serving local food. You can easily hire sun-loungers and parasol for shade. As other reviewers have said, the only down side is that you end up wishing you had more time on the beach - but for a taster trip, this is ideal.

    Excellent experience enjoyed by everyone!
The trip down the five islands was fantastic. Our guide (Jenelle) definitely knows her history and answered all questions in the hot sunshine on a speeding boat. She also handles the pick-ups & traffic with ease and doesn't get flustered. The boat ride was smooth and the captain and crew of the Yacht, were professional and friendly. We swam in Scotland Bay and Turtle Bay in warm, calm waters and use of the rubber raft. We even got free shots from the 'bartender'. Plenty of pictures were taken indeed! We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone!

First Try was right first time
Decided to go after the very friendly Ringo chatted to us in pigeon point beach. So glad we did. First Try, unlike the much larger boat, did not blast hard house music constantly and was not packed full of people. We had the boat to ourself for this trip. Ringo explained so much about the coral and we had lots of time to explore the reef, before heading to nylon pool. Here Ringo took us to a quiet part of the pool, away from all the other boats which was looking like a parking lot in the ocean. We felt like we had nylon pool to ourselves. A wonderful way to spend a couple of hours!

    Worth every penny and more
This was one of the best tours I have been on. Edith was a great guide and ensured that we were having a great time and all our needs were met. The important aspect for me was that we were not crowded on a party boat with no room to move or unable to hear because of blaring music. This tour was perfect. Not only did we see many tropical fish but also sting rays. Thanks again for an amazing adventure.

Amazing sightseeing land and boat tour!
Edith's an excellent tour guide! She's very personable, engaging and knowledgeable about Tobago. She kept everyone ranging 7 years old to 40 years old entertained. We had a great time seeing the beaches, forts and the sights in Southern Tobago. The boat tour to the buccoo reef, nylon pool and no man's land was just as amazing.

Beautiful tour, captain and crew of the Yacht were professional and friendly.
The trip down the islands was beautiful. The boat ride was smooth and the captain and crew of the Yacht, Finesse, were professional and friendly. We swam in Scotland Bay in warm, calm waters. We even got a 5-minute swimming lesson on how to float and tread water properly. A wonderful experience indeed.

    Island Experiences were wonderful!
We had originally booked tours in our recent trip to Trinidad through a few different companies but found Island Experiences to be the most well-organized and well-done! Communication was great and all the staff we interacted with were helpful. We ended up doing several tours with them including the Central Trinidad and Turtle Adventure and were so pleased with both. The Turtle Adventure was a highlight of the trip! Even though we were at the end of turtle season (August), we were able to see and help release some hatchlings, which was magical! The beach is remote (to help keep the turtles safe), so the drive there was an adventure on some windy and bumpy roads - but nothing our tour guide couldn't handle! The nature seekers staff were so knowledgeable and made it a really informative experience too. Even if we had been unlucky and hadn't seen any turtles (which I suppose sometimes happens as they can't control when the turtles choose to come nest) the trip itself would have been worth it - driving through the rural areas, stopping for a drink in one of the small towns, and seeing the remote beach with the roaring Atlantic Ocean where we could see more stars than I'd seen in a long time - all great! The Central Trinidad tour was great too and so different, where I really feel like we got a good sense of the island. We were lucky and did this on the weekend, so traffic wasn't bad and we were able to add an extra stop at the monastery up in the mountains (beautiful views) before going to see the market (amazing fresh produce, meats, seafood - so bring money - wish we were staying somewhere with a kitchen to buy and cook), several temples and shrines (including the Hanuman statue and the Temple by the Sea). Our guide also listened to our interests and added some stops for food vendors to try Doubles and chow - yum!

    Total rip off
A total rip off. Practically nothing listed on the tour was given, we had to almost beg the driver to stop. An hour stop at Maracas was drawn into two hours. Commentary was practically non existent. Promised water never materialised thankfully we had our own and bus very uncomfortable. Our only day in Trinidad ruined thanks to an unprofessional setup.

    Great island tour
Edith took very good care of us and went above and beyond when one of the kids left her phone at a look out. She is clearly very knowledgeable and enjoys sharing her love of the island.

    Great company to plan with
Alan arrived on time and then we spent the trip talking about life in Trinidad and in general. It was a pleasure. He was an excellent guide and went above board to make my trip enjoyable

    A great food experience
My 17 year old daughter and I had a great time (and came home with full belly too!) This was a great way to start our trip in Trinidad to learn about the flavors, seasonings, fruit juices, local foods and history too. Our guide Tano was so knowledgeable and friendly and made us excited for learn more about the history and people of Trinidad. We enjoyed visiting the variety in food areas (from the local food market to the popular street with night life and restaurants.) This tour was a highlight for both of us.

    What a Vacation!
The views and the experience was amazing. We really enjoyed the Nylon Pool and No Man's Land. My only wish was that we had more time on No Man's Land to check out all of the vendors and have a little beach time.

    Loud music marred this experience
My family has been travelling to Tobago since the 80s and within recent times, noticed that the beauty of the glass bottom boats experience is diminished by the loud music on board the boats. The music is so loud it can be heard in the hotels overlooking the Crown Point/Store Bay areas. Will not be choosing this again - we come for Tobago's beautiful nature and relaxing atmosphere but will go to another island from now on where loud music isn't permitted in public.

This trip was unbearable. The driver showed up in a very old vehicle with no AC. We had to drive around in no AC all day as there is hardly any walking on this tour. It was around 35degC. It was miserable.

Tour itself also lackluster. Facts given rapid fire and not very in-depth

Private tour not expected so a great experience. Very knowledgable lady driver from Trinidad who certainly knew the town. Fort George is a hair raising vertical drive up a single track road and totally unloved which is a shame but no reflection on our guide wh9 was excellent. Port of Spain itself is also a bit unloved but the whole personalised experience was great. Pick was from Hyatt hotel which is next to port entrance very easy to get to and ac and free Wi-Fi was very welcome.

We spent a fabulous day exploring Port of Spain with Tano and Jeanelle that started with doubles and ended with them helping us with our transportation needs. Interesting architecture, beautiful views, and very comfortable rides. They were knowledgeable, professional, and great storytellers. Plus they had lots of tips (including about wildlife) that made us want to go back.

We learned and saw so much on this tour with Ulric. He was very patient and full of information. You won't regret it. You experience the history, the people, the food and culture. It's an amazing island. The best treat of all was Richard's Bake and Shark. You can't go and not try it. I'm glad that I chose this private tour. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

I can't say enough about Island Experiences. Jenelle and Tano were so friendly and provided a true view of Port of Spain and Trinidadian culture. Jenelle and Tano picked my mother and I up at our bed and breakfast in Tunapuna (an extra fee was charged since it was outside of Port of Spain) and we got to know each other very quickly, talking about all of our respective backgrounds. We truly felt as though it was two friends showing us around Port of Spain rather than customers on a tour with stuffy guides; we were the only guests on the tour and saw the sights in an air-conditioned SUV. Jenelle is a great driver and maneuvered the harrowing mountain roads with ease, while both she and Tano explained every sight we passed. They stopped often for us to take (gorgeous) pictures and suggested the best views and angles. We ate lunch at a roti shop in the heart of San Juan (not included in the cost but affordable); Tano even explained the dual citizenship process to me after he learned that my family was from there. They ultimately dropped us off at the immigration office upon our request and gave us detailed directions on how to use public transportation to get back to our bed and breakfast. All in all, we had a great experience and cannot recommend this enough to anyone looking to get an intimate view of Trinidad!

If Trinidad and Tobago are on your visit-list, hire Jesse James to be your guide. We did, and he made all the difference. Our five days were chockful of activities, tailored just for us.
Family. That’s how we were treated during our five-day visit. He accompanied us during most of our adventures, but when he wasn’t there, he was. Jesse routinely texted our 6-person group to make certain we were safe and having the ideal island experience he so wanted for us. Laughs came easy and often.
Jesse was the right-side driver while we “birded” in the countryside. Macaws in flight! The race was on. We arrived to see the landing. Wild macaws perched, maybe 40 feet above us: 3, then 4, then 5. Earlier, Jesse spotted howler monkeys in the far-off thickness.
Sure, Jesse can show you the colonial architecture of “The Magnificent Seven,” the lookout point at Fort George, and even leatherbacks nesting on Matura Beach, but he can add back-stories that only a life-long native can lend.
He also knows where to get the best street food, and bonus: Jesse knows the vendors. And if you go, ask for the Bake and Shark on Maracas Beach.
When we flew to Tobago, he had a driver waiting for us. Better, he arranged the snorkeling trip and a memorable dining experience at Waves.
Jesse is your single point-man. Jesse has made life-long connections at the ports, including the Trinidad Yacht Club in PoS. By air or by boat, get to Trinidad if you can. You just may have a family member you have yet to meet.
