- Suzanne H0 contributionsAmazing View and Delicious FoodWe stumbled upon this restaurant on our way to another place for dinner and wish we would have found it sooner. The view is amazing and the food delicious. Definitely a little oasis in the middle of the city. The setting is so beautiful and the staff are all so friendly and kind. Like dining with friends. Wish we would have found it sooner we would have definitely enjoyed eating there again. This is a must if you are in St Kitts. The food was hands down the best we had while in St Kitts.Written June 7, 2024
- mjs8970 contributionsBeautiful but disappointingWhile the view was amazing and the staff very nice, I took this trip as a treat to myself before undergoing major surgery. The lobster I ordered was significantly undercooked. And they overcharged me for it. Now I have to worry about getting sick from raw shellfish. UghWritten March 21, 2024
- E6492Zbobh0 contributionsSplit decisionFirst, this is a beautiful setting overlooking the Bassettaire port especially if there's a ship or two visiting, It is really exquisite. The gardens are beautiful, but it's hard to really take that in at night. We also visited during the day. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we ate around 8 o'clock. Started with a drink at the bar and both the cocktail and wine were outstanding. Bartender was helpful without being intrusive. For dinner my wife and I had very different experiences. We split the minestrone soup which was very good and she had ginger lamb meatballs, which she really enjoyed, and the one bite that I got was really good. On the other hand, I ordered duck and it was chainsaw. tough. Certainly in the running for worst I have attempted to eat. We did not have dessert, but there were some interesting items on the menu.Written February 5, 2024
- 799reginaf0 contributionsFind yourself in a deeply relaxed stateA wonderful place that offers many beautiful surprises, be it in the back garden or at the front by the pool, or in The View restaurant, I always immediately found myself in a deeply relaxed state. That's what makes this place so very special for me. The staff are very professional, not intrusive, but naturally warm-hearted and friendly. I always felt very comfortable. The Prices are fair and very reasonable for such a sophisticated place and allow space for every budget. The pool has salt water, which I also really liked. The garden in particular is lovingly tended by the owner Claudia and her team. And one can feel the respect and care for the plants and trees. I have not found a more beautiful place on St. Kitts, where so much attention is paid to each detail to make you feel at home.Written January 4, 2024

Haute cuisine from the unexpected amuse bouche, the intriguing Fire & Ice soup, Mahi Mahi tacos and Flourless chocolate cake. But not finished, and expresso and petit fours! - 122bradt0 contributionsThis place is a MUSTThis is an absolute must. Hospitality was amazing. Views spectacular. Food was delicious. We saved this place for our last night and I wish we knew about all the intricacies earlier. Next time we come, we plan on doing pool and day chilling/eating here. Top to bottom our favorite place on the island. Highly, highly recommend.Written June 30, 2023
- summer2me0 contributionsA hidden gem!!We decided to meander around the cruise port of St. Kitts on the last stop of our 7-day cruise. While walking, a couple highly recommended stopping by Palms Court Gardens. We were in total awe when we arrived. It's in walking distance of the port, nestled on a hillside and surrounded by a beautiful zen garden with swings and a small playground. We met the owner who was simply amazing. We were in awe with every step that we took further onto the property. There is a small gift shop with various types of jewelry and ornaments handmade by the owner. They were exquisite! The most amazing part of this property was the picturesque view from the outdoor pool which towered above the street overlooking the entire port and docked cruise ships. There were benches and lush trees throughout the garden, a poolside bar and a restaurant serving delectable entrees. We spent approximately 2 hours there enjoying the view, shopping, dining and relaxing by the pool. You can get a day pass for the pool for $20 per day (subject to change) or simply donating $1 to enjoy the garden. This was the best part of our stop in St. Kitts as we opted not to do an excursion. I highly recommend stopping by this hidden gem to enjoy a small piece of what this beautiful island has to offer, thanks to the creativity and vision of the amazing owner!!Written May 16, 2023

- claire r0 contributionsLovely lunch spotSuch a lovely lunch spot - innovative menu options- who would have thought of saltfish fritters with a warm pineapple salsa ? - well done Chef Charlie. Fresh Mahi Mahi with lemongrass beurre blanc and a fully loaded burger with a truffle aioli-- goodness 😋. A great blend of Caribbean & European flavors. Friendly & attentive service too.Written December 8, 2022
- Brenda F0 contributionsBeautiful view. Outstanding experience. After booking at Palms Court, I was so excited to get there. I was not disappointed in any way. The views are spectacular, the staff gracious and helpful and the apartment lovely. It had anything you could possibly need. If not, just ask for what you need and it appears quickly. They had hung an American flag on the pole near the apartment. What attention to detail and effort to make us welcome! The apartment has AC only in the bedroom, but with the breeze that is really all that is needed. The kitchen is well provisioned. The is a good sized spice selection which is very helpful if you plan to cook. There was sugar and coffee available. There was even a new bottle of olive oil in the fridge. I appreciated having a good sized mug for my coffee. Great for sitting on the wrap around deck in the mornings. The deck is also a great place to sip a glass of wine in the evening. The gardens are spectacular, peaceful and charming. There is a play are for children. The gardens and pool are open to the public from 9am to 5pm so it is your own other times. The pool guests were quiet and unobtrusive. There is a washer and dryer available. I appreciate this as it allows me to pack lighter. Thanks Claudia for a wonderful time.Written November 5, 2022

- GarryW4960 contributionsLovely spot for a relaxing drink/lunchWent here for a lunch with friends and would recommend this place for the relaxed atmosphere and views. We just went in for a drink and lunch, but you can pay for a day pass where you can use the pool and facilities. The pool and loungers are very good quality...with some double bed style loungers. The view over the port is fantastic and you look out on to the cruise liners docked there. Staff were very friendly. Selection of drinks and food was decent. I had the quesilada and it was good. My friends said there food was just OK. Prices were OK for where we were eating with that view. We were sat under a speaker and the music made conversation a bit difficult, asked to turn down 3 times before it actually was turned down ! Cruise ship passengers popped in and were given food and drink....we were offered some too. A nice touch. Sit in the gardens in the shade with a nice cocktail...its worth it.Written March 1, 2022
- lakelover9080 contributionsDo not visit as a tour stopLovely position overlooking the sea. Great pool and small garden area. We visited as part of a tour and expected an hour's walk round a garden. The grounds and property are beautiful, with infinity pool overlooking the bay. However that is where all the good ends, restaurant staff is highly incompetent, unqualified and rude. The only person good at their job there is the gardener who was very lovely. The restaurant staff on the other hand, 30+ minute wait for French fries which we had to go back up to the bar and ask for. Drinks never came. There is a waiter there with glasses and long box braids who is the epitome of rude. We made reservations for six lounge chairs and when we got there they supposedly couldn’t find the reservation although I had communicated directly with them the night before. She wouldn’t seat us and just kept asking if we had payed, despite the other girl confirming that we in fact made reservations and payed for. I was so confused as to what I was supposed to be paying for as we were not serviced or greeted in the slightest way. At one point I looked over at the bar, and all the staff were huddled there, not a care in the world, meanwhile everybody is waiting for their drinks. Servers walk right by you and don’t even ask if you need anything. Horrible experience. This is nothing more than a quick stop, enjoy the view, maybe get in the pool for a bit but do not lounge there for the day, you will regret it.

Dear Irenee718
Thank you for giving us feedback on your experience. We regret to hear that your expectations were not met. In terms of the mix up with your reservation, we reserved loungers overlooking the bay (Sea View loungers in front of the pool), per your request, which were available, however in person your party requested the double beds which had already been reserved for other customers. I apologize that your arrival and your lounging arrangements were not as smooth as we intended and for the delay in having the inconvenience solved. Our team strives hard to ensure our guests receive the best experience. We hope to welcome you back again in the near future.

In this case ... not much...
First, towels are $3 each & YOU MUST PUT A TOWEL DOWN before you can sit on their (not so great) lounge chairs.
Second, "hot" tub NOT hot
Third, pool cold!
Fourth, walk around the grounds takes about a minute and a half.
All in all, not impressive.

Hello 010DEB
Many thanks for your feedback. We do value every visitors opinion and respect yours. In the interest of future visitors though, I'd like to add some explanations to your statements.
The reason why we ask our guests to put a towel on the chair cushion is to prevent stains from sunscreen and food. The "not so great" chairs are from Frontgate at a cost of US$ 1'100.00 per chair by the time they have cleared customs duty in St.Kitts and are delivered to Palms Court. The cost of the cushion alone is US$ 350.00. Since the oily stains from sunscreen/food are practically impossible to remove, we ask our guests to use a towel on the cushion. The 3.00 we ask for visitors who are arriving without a towel are our cost price for washing and amortization of the towel.
Our pool, including the Jacuzzi, are located very close to the ocean. These weather condition this location brings along are very harsh to any kind of device/equipment. At the moment we have a problem with the heater for the Jacuzzi, that's why the water was cold in the hot tub at your time of visit. Until we get the necessary parts to the island to get the heater repaired, it will take usually one week. This is the situation one has to deal with, when living on an island and not on the continent, where everything is easy available.
The temperature of the pool in winter time is C 26/ F 79, in summer C 30/F 86. For environmental reasons we see therefore no reason to waste energy to heat a large pool. Installing sun collectors would require the surface of the entire roof of the main building, so we decided against an installation as it would be optically disturbing.
I agree, if you walk around the gardens at a marching rate, without making stops to enjoy the beautiful plants or the beautiful ocean view, nor taking pictures nor enjoying the various swing chairs or the tree swing on the mature Flamboyant tree, you could make it around in 2 minutes.
As a final note; "Beauty lies in the eye of the Beholder", and we're saddened to learn that you haven't been able to enjoy your visit; as we, the owners, and our staff, are working relentlessly and put much attention to detail at the restaurant and in the gardens, to make our visitor's experience as special as possible.

Spent my belated honey moon with my husband, stayed three weeks in the beautiful guesthouse, great location, walking distance to town which is not possible if you stay at the other hotels, at the evenings we had the pool and jacuzzi all by ourselves, which is great as we could enjoy our champagne in private. Breakfast and lunch was excellent, professional service, staff were smiling all the time, very friendly and attentive. Compliment to Chef Charlie, food was excellent, especially the shrimps and rum cake, very reasonable prize as well.

I will gladly forward your compliments to our staff regarding their good service and to chef Charlie, who's new menu brought indeed a new and fresh breeze into Palms Court's culinary landscape.

A great facility, however nobody likes to feel they were ripped off. Visited earlier this month, young man took payment which was 40 dollars for the two of us, gave him 50 bill and he said he would bring 10 change. Despite asking he did not bring it. The when buying drinks at the bar priced at 5 dollars on menu we were charged six dollars, so 24 for two beers and two orange juice. Gave 25 and told they don't give change. So beers at 6 dollars when they were 2 dollars in Port. We had a good time while there but left with a feeling of being cheated.

We went for dinner the evening of 12/30/23. We had a large party and can be a bit picky plus we have 3 with dietary restrictions (GF and DF). When I say the went above and beyond, I mean they hit the ball out of the park with the level of service, quality of food, environment. Everyone was highly impressed and all those with dietary restrictions where fully included in each course. The food was homemade and high end (homemade noodle pastas, out of this world desserts, fresh and flavorful). Spoke with both the owner and chef as well and were very impressed with both their professionalism and service. Researching St. Kitts we did not think we would find upscale, high quality restaurants and I must say that we were pleasantly surprised! If you are in St kitts, I highly recommend that you at least eat dinner here one evening.

First off, this is not a botanical garden. Think of it as a wealthy person’s back yard. It is an infinity edge pool in a manicured acre with a posh indoor/ outdoor restaurant and a cabana bar. Lounge chairs and cabana chairs available. You pay $20 (standard lounge chair) on a tour company or on your own and a chair is yours for the day. The view over the harbor of Basseterre is perfect. The food is excellent and the drinks very tasty. All are expensive but reasonably priced. Swimwear is the attire all over. Showers, bathroom and changing on site. No pounding music, just modern chill tunes. It is a quiet comfortable oasis just a short ride from the dock. Spend half day or the whole day and just relax. We would go there every visit to St Kitts.

We were pleasantly surprised by our trip to Palms Court Gardens. The gardens are kept in perfection and very pretty. The stalk was welcoming and pleasant. The property is immaculate and the view of the seascape delightful. Our time there was comfortable and ended too quickly. There are some limits on the food and alcohol available, but we would still highly recommend this Day Pass.

The views were spectacular and the gardens were picturesque! 2 lovely ladies served our party of 13. The food was unexpectedly substandard and unsatisfying. We were required to pay an additional fee just to cut my daughter's birthday cake after a bill of nearly $1000. Would not return.

We are staying on St Kitts and saw Palms Court and thought it would be a nice way to start New Year's Eve, we weren't disappointed. The gardens are set on the side of the hill overlooking Basseterre and the bay. Our reserved sun loungers were waiting for us and pool area was busy with people enjoying themselves and relaxing.
We had a lovely meal and when we returned to our sunbeds we had the place to ourselves as everyone else had left to return to their cruise ships. The staff were very helpful which helped for a very relaxed day.

We spent about 3 or 4 hours there and found it very serene and hated to leave to go back to the ship. The admission was only $12 so for the pool and views a shorter stay would be worth the cost. We also had lunch there which they serve poolside.
