So we researched who had great reviews working with kids and selected Cobalt. Graeme and Travis made it a fun adventure feeding and holding the stingrays, snorkeling in a beautiful spot that wasn't too deep it would freak out the kiddo but deep enough it had lots of fish. I swear the part she liked the most was holding the starfish and watching them slowllllyyy move. Thanks guys for making sure we will have many more snorkeling/ocean adventures with the family.

They kept us informed every day of the weather and tried each day to reschedule our trip. They were so apologetic about having to cancel and they issued a full refund. We will definitely book with them next time we're in Grand Cayman!

We were so excited about our first port of Grand Cayman and Cobalt Custom Charters was everything we had hoped for and more! Our guides met us at the designated location at the Cayman Islands Yacht Club (make sure you read your fine print and allow time to catch a taxi to the yacht club!) and we jetted off right away. They were great about asking us how much time we wanted to spend in the different locations of Stingray City, Starfish Point, and Rum Point. We LOVED being on a small, private vessel rather than with the crowded cruise ship excursion groups. Our group of three generations had a ball. We experienced the gorgeous Cayman water and never in my wildest dreams could I imagine kissing a stingray, holding starfish, and snorkeling over the most gorgeous reef. Our guides were fun, professional, and so knowledgable. They accommodated every need we had and made the trip so enjoyable. I cannot recommend Cobalt Custom Charters enough. The cherry on top were the amazing photos Graeme sent after our trip. Smile as you're having fun, because you will have fun!!

We did a 4 hour private tour with my family of 4 to Stringray city, Rum Point for snorkeling, Starfish point, and last but definitely not least Bioluminescent Bay and I could not recommend Cobalt Custom Charters more! Booking was very easy as Graeme responded right away to my email and followed up with a phone call, and pricing was definitely reasonable and worth it. We had a phenomenal experience with Lars and Marcel as our crew. We were nervous to go to Stingray City but Lars and Marcel got in the water with us and showed us exactly how to handle the rays, feed them, kiss them, and even took photos of them with us and sent them to us right after the trip! Such a cool experience! On the second part of the trip, they took us to snorkel at Rum Point and we saw so many beautiful and colorful fish. My mom is not the best swimmer and the crew stayed with her the whole time and were so patient. Then we went to hold starfish at another location as the sun was setting, and the crew gave us a lot of interesting info about the creatures. The most unique and unforgettable part of the trip was going to the bioluminescent bay which is unreal! Getting into the water at night was a little scary at first but totally worth it as you feel like you are swimming in a sea of blue diamonds under the starry sky. Once in a life time and unforgettable experience! Great boat, clean, fast, with music for a small group, can byob and food. Also because the trip starts at 3:45 there were zero crowds and we had the entire stingray city and biobay and snorkeling to ourselves! 10/10 recommend!

What an experience! We were a family of 6 (kids aged between 10 and 16) on a holiday that included Disney, Universal, and a Caribbean cruise with many excursions. After all was said and done, the kids unanimously selected this excursion as their overall trip highlight - high praise!! The parents concur... Sting Ray City was the obvious highlight, but what really made it special was the effort that our guides, Jaco and Marcel, out in to make the excursion memorable for our whole family. They were absolutely awesome, and ensured that fabulous memories were made. I can recommend Cobalt (and specifically also Jaco and Marcel) without any reservation.

We booked a charter boat for a family trip to Grand Cayman, and had a great experience from beginning to end. The booking was easily done online, with instant feedback from Graeme to help choose the best options and time. Luke and Andreas warmly greeted us at the meeting area, and got us right on the boat. We brought drinks and snacks and they had a cooler, towels, snorkel gear, etc. for our 4-hour tour. In Stingray City, Andreas gathered a few stingrays, and prepared them to interact with our 11 and 9 year olds, and the adults too. Luke gave us safety tips, and helped us into the water with our gear. From Stingray city, we traveled to one of the best snorkeling spots around the island and saw a ton of different sea life and coral. Luke and Andreas clearly know the island well, as Luke gave us map of other sites to see and restaurant recommendations. Our next stop was starfish cove, which we enjoyed, followed by a look at the mangroves before heading back to shore. All in all, a fantastic family experience, and Cobalt helped make it happen. When we come back, we will no doubt be reaching out them again.

Book this now! I don't write reviews; this is my first ever. I was compelled to do so because our trip with Cobalt was so great! Everyone is professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Graeme made the scheduling easy and, along with our two captains, Marcel & Jaco, we were able to completely tailor the trip to where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. Our captains were informative about everything on the island and made sure we had everything we needed. We stopped at a couple of beach bars, watched the sunset at Starfish Point, snorkeled in Bio Bay (which was amazing), etc. You can customize your trip however you like. My wife accidentally left her watch on the boat and Graeme was kind enough to personally deliver it back to our hotel the next day. We had a blast all day with Jaco and Marcel on the boat... great guys! I can't say enough good things about the entire crew. We will be back to Grand Cayman and another tour with Cobalt will be the first thing we book!

We booked 2 snorkeling tours with Cobalt. Their staff was so knowledgeable, kind, and overall A+. We booked the bioluminescent tour and also did Stingray City, Rum Point Reef, and the Barrier Reef snorkle. Our captains and first mates were awesome. The prices were very reasonable. I would say Cobalt is a must book. It’s so private and unlike any snorkeling experience I’ve ever had.

We had a fabulous trip with Jaco and Lars. To start, Graeme suggested we reschedule until later than planned in our week here due to windy conditions. He was spot on and very flexible with our wishes. Jaco planned our stops with us upon arrival, based on what we were interested in doing. We had the chance to interact with stingrays at Stingray City and learn a bit about them. Priceless! Snorkeling off Rum Point reef was challenging due to wind and currents. Jaco and Lars made extra accommodations to get us safely back to the boat. We finished out tour by slowly touring the mangroves and learning about this very delicate ecosystem.
Did I mention the great music?
Our guides were knowledgeable and easygoing, but had our safety as their primary concern.
Do not hesitate to book this charter. It’s well worth it and the best one I’ve engaged when visiting Grand Cayman.

Treat yourself! Allow the team (in our case Marcel and Luke) to take you out to the azure Caribbean Sea for an unforgettable experience. We were a group of four: two near fifty, a thirty-five year old and a 16 year old (the world’s hardest to impress demographic!) and everyone was thoroughly impressed with a custom tour of Stingray City, snorkelling and an educational introduction to the mangroves.
Not only was it clear that the team is professional and safety minded, they have a cool Caribbean vibe that makes your cares recede with the coast. The management is conscientious and concerned you have the best experience possible. Trust this tight crew to deliver a peak Grand Cayman experience. Thanks guys!

We booked 2 family trips with Cobalt and both were amazing! We chartered a trip to stingray city & to see the bioluminescent phytoplankton. Both trips were incredible. Hello, yes, we can pick up from Rum Point or Kaibo. Depending on where you're staying we would alter the departure point. There is an extra fee for this service though which we can add on after the booking is confirmed.

Hi Ann, thanks for reaching out. This is slow season and some of us are on vacation so I do apologize for the delay in response. With that said, our marina is only about 10-12 minutes away from the cruise ship port.
The ship terminal is on the opposite side of the island from where Stingray City and all the other activities are. Whether it is us or someone else, you're going to need to drive at least 7 minutes to get to the nearest marina.
The benefit of our marina is that you meet us at a store that sells drinks and snacks including alcohol so you don't need to worry about stopping and getting that stuff on your way down to us.
You are required to get your own ride. There is a readily available taxi queue outside the restricted area at the port. When your trip with us is done your Captain would call a taxi to have it waiting for when you finish.

The trip is refundable if the weather prevents us from running the trip or if we cancel for any reason. Generally, if you cancel more than 5 days in advance we will issue a full refund.

Hi Tommy, sorry that we just saw this question. They go to a different spot than the questions on our actual page and we just saw this.
With that said, you unfortunately can only book for 1 guest as this is a group outing. We will contact you after your booking to get an idea of your group size!

You're always welcome to extend once out on a charter with us! The Captain will be able to let you know what that extra cost would be assuming there isn't someone booked directly after you.
As for the sea conditions, your safety is our 1A concern and your enjoyment 1B. We'd never do anything to compromise either of those!
