- Meredith R00Loved it!Frankie and Sammy were the best! So knowledgeable about the island and have great personalities. Always made sure we had what we needed and played amazing music. We were on the boat for 7 hours and when it was over we didn’t want to get off. Highly recommend!
- bertinep201700Great tour, great Caribbean experienceGreat tour, excellent guide Miguel. Lots of fun!! We were on a small boat. 12 persons, which was nice and easy socializing with the other passengers. Snorkeling was oke, not great, but at one place we did see 2 turtles! Nice beaches with rumpunch for an excellent Caribbean experience!
- paigesM7749YQ00Even better than I expected...Such a fun trip! The boat driver and crew were so friendly and fun. We were well taken care of. We saw so much of both the French and Dutch sides of the island. We swam with sea turtles, sting rays, starfish and it felt like I saw every tropical fish. No complaints.
- rebeccabB1146NH00Unforgettable Boat Snorkeling Tour in St. Maarten: Exploring Islands, Turtles, and Stingrays with Junior and Pete!I recently had the most amazing boat snorkeling tour experience in St. Maarten, and I can't stop raving about the incredible crew led by Junior and Pete! This tour was an absolute dream, taking us to multiple islands for snorkeling, giving us the chance to encounter turtles, fish, and even graceful stingrays. From the start, Junior and Pete's warm and welcoming personalities set the tone for an unforgettable day. Their extensive knowledge about the marine life and the various islands we visited made the journey not only enjoyable but also highly educational. They were always happy to share interesting facts and stories about the different locations, making the trip all the more enriching. The snorkeling spots they took us to were out of this world! Swimming alongside majestic turtles and being surrounded by colorful fish left us in awe of the beauty beneath the surface. And the highlight was definitely encountering graceful stingrays gliding through the crystal-clear waters. It was an experience that left us feeling truly connected to the marine world. The tour also provided the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. We had the opportunity to play on stunning beaches, soak up the sun, and unwind while savoring the beauty of each island. The lunch provided was delicious, and having refreshing drinks on hand throughout the trip made it even better. One aspect that stood out was how informative Junior and Pete were about each destination. Their insights into the history, culture, and unique features of the nearby islands enriched the experience and gave us a deeper appreciation for the region. The attention to detail and level of care from the crew were exceptional. They ensured everyone's safety and comfort, making the trip suitable for both seasoned snorkelers and first-timers. Their friendly and attentive nature made us feel like we were in the company of friends, making the tour feel even more special. If you're looking for an extraordinary boat snorkeling tour in St. Maarten, I can't recommend Junior and Pete's crew enough. From the diverse snorkeling spots to the beautiful islands, from the encounters with marine life to the relaxing beach time, every moment was a delight. This tour exceeded all expectations, and I can't wait to return and explore more with this fantastic crew. Don't miss out on this unforgettable adventure!
- Jennifer M00Perfect trip- highly recommendI would give this excursion 10 stars. The captains were amazing. CJ was a lovely human being. Starts with an initial boat ride which was a lot of fun. There were three beach stops each with their own character and all were extraordinarily beautiful. The trip was well organized and executed. They had a cooler of sodas, water and beer. The lunch was delicious- we brought five kids of varying ages and they all ate every bite. They had a cooler of rum punch. Amazing. All the gear we needed was provided. If I find myself at a cruise port of call in Saint Maarten- I will do this one again. Phenomenal.
- Mike P00DisappointedThe gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude. We were told to bring an ID and did not see passport in the fine print of tiny receipt. He was almost enjoying that we screwed up and had no empathy. The rest of crew felt bad and was very nice. I was shocked by how mean someone could be in that situation. I purchased a club membership for Divi and this a bad start to my experience of tourism on the island
- 262amyq00Sunny SCWe did this excursion for the first time last year and we had to do it again this year. It is a must for everyone to do. You can see so much of Island from the water. It is beautiful! The snorkeling and the many stops and other islands that we stop during the day. Our Captain Miguel is the best guide! We highly recommend!
- Justine J00I Don't Swim and I had a Blast...... in the Ocean! This was a wonderful experience. I am not a swimmer, I can swim enough to save myself, I think. I jumped off he boat at every stop, of course wearing a life jacket and one time I also used a noodle to help me stay above water. Our captains, Nicholas and DJ B were amazing host. The kept us all informed of what was happening on the trip. The people on our excursion were more senior. One couple did not get off of the boat to snorkel. We had a person in our group who only got off the boat in Pines Island because the water was waist deep. The rum punch was good and they offered beer, water and soda. Lunch at Lo Lo's in Grand Case was delish. I found out that Lo Lo, really mean" locals". I had the ribs and the rest of our group had the Mahi Mahi. The place was packed with locals so you know the food is good! I would highly recommend this trip. It is not for people not steady on their feet because you do get out of the boat in water for lunch. The trip was perfect. The speed boat ride was awesome and gave me an adrenaline rush! The only thing I would have done was asked for my shoes to go to lunch. I don't walk barefoot in most places and we walked barefooted into the restaurant where there were others wearing shoes.
- Amy T00Best day of our vacation! We absolutely loved every second of this excursion. Our guide, Miguel, was so friendly, fun, and generous with his time. He took us to great snorkeling spots and made interesting and funny commentary throughout the day-long boat ride. And he expertly maneuvered the sometimes rough seas so we felt total confidence in our safety. Highly recommended this excursion!!
- Kyle G00Best day of our vacation!!!The entire experience was fantastic. We started off with a slow boatride while Sammy explained local culture and scenery. After that we took a 10 minute boat ride to our first snorkeling location. It was calm and an unforgettable location with an abundance of aquatic life. Our second location was amazing as we got to swim with sea turtles. Sammy and Frankie found them within minutes. We also experienced Lolos for lunch which was an amazing meal with a great atmosphere. The entire experience was fantastic, there is no doubt that Sammy and Frankie's expertise, professionalism and hospitality made the experience one that our entire group will never forget.
- 307imanir00Great snorkeling tour of Saint MartinI booked this trip last minute and it ended up being the highlight of my trip to Saint Martin. We had a ton of great drinks, music, saw fish and turtles, and the guides were super friendly.
- sarahead1400Face to face with turtles! My kids (boy, 14, and girl, 11) and I had a fantastic day today with Sammy and Frankie. You park in the lot walk to the right, behind Domino's. You check in and order your barbecue lunch (chicken, fish, ribs). I even was able to order a vegetarian option of all of the great sides that come with the barbecue (plantains, rice and beans, vegetables, side salad, potato salad, and coleslaw). We had 16 people on our boat, with lots of empty seats for spreading out a bit. First stop was Creole Rock for snorkeling with tons of different kinds of fish. Next is Tintamarre where we swam with sea turtles. The best moment of the whole day for me was when a sea turtle swam to the surface to breathe and calmly looked at us for a while before going back down. Pinel Island was fun to see the iguanas and float in the water drinking rum punch (it seemed to be an unlimited supply, and many on our boat had an extra shot of rum in each one they drank!). The kids were happy to have unlimited Sprite and Coke. We then had the lunch stop, another "float and drink" stop and got to see an airplane approach the airport right overhead and land straight down the runway ahead of us. Sammy and Frankie were so friendly and lively and picked great tunes to listen to as we were motoring from place to place. Overall an amazing day. Highly recommended.
- mike t00Awsome fun live real and safe. These guys and Anita the owner are legit!Captain Boy and first mate Freaky Frank kept this excursion on point and fun. Great history humor and safety was top priority navigating the waters. Awesome stops to experience the key stops on the island
- BigRob2600Fantastic Time - Highly Recommended!!This was probably the best excursion ever!! The sights were awesome and the island and water are beautiful. Frankie and DJ-B did a phenomenal job of showing us around and keeping us entertained. The snorkeling was great and they backed up their promise of swimming with sea turtles, which was such a cool experience. Drinks were plentiful and lunch was so good! We'll definitely do this again when we return to St. Maarten!!
- travelmakesUrich00Anguilla has THE most beautiful beaches, and Captain Boy made our trip there perfectA guest at our hotel told us that Anguilla had the most beautiful beaches - and she is right! We'd planned to go over on the ferry (and then figure our way around the island from there, somehow) but after a wonderful day with Captain Boy on a Billy Bones charter around St. Maarten, we decided that we'd enjoy the trip more and be able to see more if we had Captain Boy to take us to see the best of the best, rather than trying to find our way around once the ferry dropped us. SO glad we did! It's a bit of a trip to get there, but Captain Boy had proven himself an outstanding speed boat driver earlier in the week, so we were able to sit back and relax and enjoy the journey. Our first stop was Sandy Island, which looked like a mirage as we approached - a beautiful white sand sliver of an island in the middle of the sea that was almost untouched (one small building). I thought that would be my favorite memory of the day, as we neared that little haven. But as we found even more beautiful, bigger beaches - Rendezvous Bay, Meads Bay, Shoal Bay - they're all gorgeous. The water just glows, it's so clear, so calm, such a vibrant blue-green. Captain Boy allowed us as much or as little time as we wanted at each place, gave us the history of the place and pointed out landmarks, while entertaining us with a great playlist and keeping us hydrated with cold drinks. When it was time for lunch, he knew a great place and allowed us to walk the beach while he ordered and waited for our meals (to go - my request) and then we sat and ate fresh fish at the edge of the sea, the gentle waves lapping up at our feet as we looked out on the birds diving for their lunches. It was magical! We've cruised the Caribbean many times, visiting 2 dozen islands there, and I have to agree with the woman we met at our hotel - Anguilla's are the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. She gave us great advice. Can I give you some? If you're already on St. Maarten, it's SO worth the trip over to Anguilla to see those beaches! And I can think of no better way to do it than to go with Billy Bones (they provide snorkel equipment, more drinks than you could possibly drink in the day, and a boat that makes for an enjoyable journey) with Captain Boy to take you there. He's welcoming, knowledgeable, a skilled captain, and after 2 days at sea with him - we consider him a friend. He made a day of work (for him - not us!) look effortless, and the joy he brings to his work is infectious. His only goal seemed to be to show us the best time possible, and he did indeed!

We had an amazing day trip to Anguilla. It was great to have a hotel pick up and not have to worry about taking a taxi. The trip is all that’s promised. It’s a full day, unlimited beverages, bottled water, sodas, beer and rum punch. I think the tempo of the day is who the crowd is on the boat. It was all families on our trip. The water was choppy which was fine. The captain warned everyone and said to sit in the back of the boat for a smoother ride. The beaches were gorgeous as was Anguilla. We had 5 stops. Important note, the boat is unable to pull directly up to the beaches so be prepared to swim or maybe walk to shore. Maybe if the waters were calmer, they would have been able to get closer. No one seemed bothered by this at all. Make sure to dress for a beach day. The lunch was good, we stopped on a beach and we were served by the first mate. Everyone was friendly and had a great day. The snorkeling equipment was clean and they also had plenty of noodles if you wanted to float around. If you are not a swimmer I would not recommend this trip, unless you want to spend most of the day on the big. Miguel the captain also told us about a lot of good stories about both islands. This is a fun day trip with beautiful sites!

All the beachs were more beautiful than I expected. Shoal Bay and little Bay were my two favorites. A must see. Unfortunately I was so disappointed in our caption for the day. He name was Jr on Billy Bones tour. He found a nice young girl that became a big interest to him as well as her to him. When we were at our beach stops he did give us a drink but as the day progress he disappeared with her so we all had to climb on the boat when we wanted a drink. At little Bay the cliff jumping he followed his girl up the rock which was high and helped her yet a 13 yr old girl was behind them and they both yelled down how to climb it. I felt as many others did he should of jumped in and helped her up the rope. He had interest in this one young ladie and stuck with her at every stop till even disapearing at Shoal Bay for 45mins. We all got on and off the boat many times when wanting drinks. I would book somewhere else if Jr is driving the boat.

Billy Bones Charters is an excellent company and the equipment and crew are second to none. We have been on two tours with them previously and rated it the highest possible. Unfortunately, the day we went out it rained all day. Sammy(our Captain) tried to find a hole in the rain but really it rained all day. He was great. Marta, we will call her the first mate (sp?) was fantastic. With spending $258.00 for both my wife and myself I really think they should have given us the option for another day. It was very apparent that the weather was not going to be good. It was cold, windy, choppy and raining. NOT FUN and DISAPPOINTING! I recommend asking about the weather before leaving and alternate day options if you can. The rating is because they did not offer us the option to take another day due to the weather. We really wasted the $258.00. We love you Sammy and Marta. Sammy, you know you should stop smoking. There are alternatives! And you know what I mean.

Even in bad weather
Easy to find, well kept boat and well staffed and friendly office. Our day was met with light rain, we where offed the opportunity to not go out and receive our full refund, but we rolled the dice. Our captain Sammy was wonderful. Very informative, and friendly. An excellent, highly recommended St. Martin experience.
Please see Kendra rewiew further up. This was the same day also.
Great day!

Thanks to Balazs and his team we finally were able to go to Anguilla while calling St. Maarten on a cruise ship! It was an amazing day! While other boat charter companies refuse to offer trips to Anguilla for cruise ship passengers, even with a private charter, Billy Bones did not turn us away! It was the only company that made it happen for us! We were extremely happy about the fact that we got to visit Anguilla. However, that was not the only reason we were excited. Very friendly atmosphere from the moment we met Balazs on the pier, and all the way until we had to say good bye with the team, very safe and comfortable boat, amazing beach stops just made this excursion number one among 8 other ports we visited during our 15-days sailing.
By the way: the choice of a restaurant for lunch was awesome! All dishes were so tasty! We can't thank you enough Balazs!!!

This was by far our favorite thing we did while visiting St Maarten! Our captains were Boy and Frankie and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. The ocean was a bit choppy, but Captain Boy handled the boat like a pro so we didn't get too thrown around:) The 4 beach stops just kept getting better and more beautiful as we went along. My favorite was Shaol Bay for its perfectly teal waters and white sand, and Little Bay, where with the help of Boy and my new friends made on the boat, I got the courage to jump off the huge boulder. My family can't wait to come back to the islands and do this excursion again:)

The beaches we visited were beautiful. The lunch was awesome. Our boat, however, broke down on the way back and we had to wait almost two hours for another boat. The captains were awesome and kept us calm, however, the music on the boat was way to loud while we were stuck waiting for another boat.

Hello margaretsB2440GC.
Thank you for choosing us during your vacation.
Yes unfortunately we had 1 engine stopped working by the end of the day just before we suppose to travel back to St.Maarten. Beside our maintenance team hard work it could happen.
Fortunately we did all the stops we had scheduled for the day plus 1 additional one because you had to wait for the next boat for your safe return. Our number 1 priority is the safety of our passengers thats why I personally decided (regardless we had one engine was still working) to send another vessel to pick you up.
Please accept my apologize for the delay and also for the loud music.
Sincerely
Balazs Szabo

We took the Anguilla tour with Frankie and Captain Junior. The boat ride through the inner harbour and over to Anguilla was awesome and Junior knows how to pilot a boat. The speed was exciting. Each stop was spectacular in its own way. Cap Juluca is in my top 10 beaches Ive been to. Sandy Island was very cool. Little Bay was a good snorkelling spot and beautiful and Shoal Bay was also beautiful. Frankie was a very great host with information and he also made the trip fun. Both Junior and Frankie are awesome. I have traveller for 35 years and this is one of the best day trips I have ever taken. My family loved it.

We had a great time. Captain Frankie and Johan were great hosts. They made my kids feel welcome and my wife who doesn’t swim very comfortable. They even got her in the water with a life vest. I recommend this tour for anyone looking for a fun filled day

We had Captain Junior and First Mate CJ and it was such a wonderful experience. The itinerary for the day was perfect, it included a little bit of everything. Both were so knowledgeable about bath Anguilla and St. Maarten, so we learned so much from them. I would recommend Billy Bones and Junior/CJ to anyone traveling to St. Maarten.
