Avoid Courtesy Taxi Co-op SOC LTD at All Costs – A Nightmare for Cruise Ship Passengers
Avoid Courtesy Taxi Co-op SOC LTD at All Costs – A Nightmare for Cruise Ship Passengers I strongly advise against using Courtesy Taxi Co-op SOC LTD at the cruise terminal in Castries, St. Lucia. This company is untrustworthy, unprofessional, and outright exploitative. My family’s experience with them was nothing short of a disaster. We booked a return taxi for four passengers to Rodney Bay’s Reduit Beach for $20 per person, totalling $80 for the round trip. Upon arrival at the beach, the driver demanded that we confirm an early return time of 3:30 PM, citing “traffic concerns.” We informed him we would decide later and notify the company at the resort. Despite this, they aggressively pursued us, even following us to the beach beds, pressuring us to use facilities owned by their friends and to purchase drinks from them. When we returned to the meeting point at 4:20 PM (for our pre-arranged 4:30 PM pickup), we were told our driver had already left at 4:00 PM. Shockingly, they demanded an additional $40 for a return trip, despite us having already paid the full fare upfront. When we showed them our written confirmation of the 4:30 pickup, they still refused to honour the agreement. It was only after taking photos of their staff and threatening to report them to local tourism authorities that they begrudgingly arranged another taxi. This company abandoned my family – including two young children – with no way to return and no money left after paying the initial fare. They attempted to exploit our vulnerable situation by demanding more money for a service we had already paid for. Such behaviour is unacceptable, unethical, and dangerous. Additional concerns: • They attempt to dictate how long you can stay at your destination, ruining your plans. • They exert aggressive and manipulative behaviour, prioritising their profits over customer service. • They fail to provide any accountability or refunds and dismiss complaints outright. • Numerous online reviews echo similar experiences, highlighting a consistent pattern of exploitation. WARNING: Do not use Courtesy Taxi Co-op SOC LTD or any taxi services inside the cruise terminal in St. Lucia. Instead, walk outside the terminal and hire private taxis directly from the street. This company preys on cruise passengers, knowing they have limited options and time. Their practices are predatory, and their disregard for customer safety and satisfaction is appalling. For the safety and enjoyment of your trip, avoid this company at all costs. St. Lucia is a beautiful destination, but Courtesy Taxi Co-op SOC LTD will ruin your experience. The attached photos are of their terminal booth to help you identify and avoid them.

      Beware of these scammers!
Coming off cruise ship they attack you with signs and telling you where to go. We had to pay in advance a round trip and afterwards was told we had to give a time to return. We could not just decide to leave at any time. Told us to take them because there was a lot of crime in st Lucia. What a way to start my day. Will definitely not come back!! A lot of nicer islands.

Spend your day in a van.
Cruise line cancelled our excursion so we were stuck. Got off the ship and was approached by this company. $50pp to “see the pitons and go to volcano, mud baths and waterfalls”. We spent 4 hours in a van. We got 5 minutes to take pictures at a viewing spot and 30 minutes at the volcano/mud bath, which was not enough time to do either AND you had to pay extra to do it. Roads are terrible and driver didn’t say much. Waste of our day and $100. Others were very mad and demanded a refund, which they did not get. Only good thing was the driver got us back to our ship in time.

DONT PAY IN ADVANCE OR WILL GET ROBED
To start: DONT PAY IN ADVANCE OR WILL GET ROBED. Worst Taxi experiences, this people charged me for a trip and I never got what was asked / offered, in addition driver took 4 hours to do Only one stop and was worthless, if you need a taxi and see this people run as fast as you can, specialy if is M. Paul the driver, I spoked with management and nobody in the office cares they wont backup ther brand and wont care about your short time in the island and this is "one of the main taxi comps in the port". If you hire them prepare to get robed. Absolutely the worst. Try them your self and will see you in the reviews... Walk out of the port and get a regular taxi have more chances of having a better time.

      Horrid
Dangerous and crazy rude driver!!! Please do not use Courstey cars!! They are very quick to take your money from you then they take you to Rodney Bay tell you that you can come back at any time ,WRONG you all have to agree to come back at the same time so if somebody in your taxi wants to come back early you all have to come back at the same time . The lady on the beach that also directs you to the taxi is abrupt rude and shouts at you if you dont do as she asks . I left school a number of years ago and dont expect to be spoken to like a child. We have always gone to the closest beach to the cruise port in St Lucia we should of stuck to our plans and gone there What a horrid spoilt day

Don't Pay For Private Taxi Service at the Cruise Port!
Courtesy Taxi Service offers private taxi service and shared taxi service at the cruise ship dock. Private was $100 and shared was $50 for a couple. We paid $100 for a private service. On our return ride, the driver stopped and picked up numerous other people. We still paid for private whereas we should have paid the shared price. Shady and unethical.

TERRIBLE COMPANY, NEVER USE THEIR SERVICES TOTALLY SCAM
We got there through a cruise we were staying for about 5 or 6 hours, so our travel agent found them and he talked to JANET, and closed the service (we were in a groups of 11 people), so we were waiting for the bus and hearing “the bus is coming, the bus is coming” (in this main time JANET DISAPPEARED), so, when we decided to request our refund the bus magically appeared, so started our rushed tour. The driver was nice but we changed maybe 10 words. We didn’t go to the rum factory, we passed through the banana plantation never stopped, Stopped at the 2 spots for photos and stopped at the volcano mud bath for not even 30 minutes. We barely had time to put the mud and wash right after. We didn’t enjoy at all, and for last but not least we should’ve stopped at the beach but we never did because we didn’t have time. (Which we paid extra 5 dollars, SO WE GOT SCREWED AT 45 DOLLARS TOTAL). Anyway, NEVER use their services, again they’re a SCAM company. We know other people that did the same kinda tour, through other companies and they loved. So it’s better look for other companies besides this one.

      DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
You will see them as soon as you get off of the ship and go through the building! They were extremely rude and misleading from the start. AVOID JANET! We were scammed out of $45 per person. They will tell you anything to get your money. After waiting 40 minutes and hearing "your bus is coming" we asked for a refund. I wish we got one but the bus magically appeared. We were told we would see a rum factory, the waterfalls, a botanical garden, the mud baths and be dropped off at a beach. We even paid $5 extra to go to the beach. Our first stop was a tiny outdoor bar that had a rum tasting. It was pleasant. The woman there was friendly and we even purchased some of their products. There were a couple of photo stops along the way but we were rushed and was told to be really quick before we even got out of the van. Then we drove to the mud baths which took an hour and 10 minutes. We were told we only had a half hour. In that time we had to wait in line to buy tickets, change our clothes, get in the baths, shower and get back to the van. THAT WAS IT! We never got to see the water falls and we were never taken to a beach which we had paid for. I went to the kiosk to talk to someone after and of course it was closed. Our driver was okay, he wasn't rude or anything but hardly said a word to us. Again, AVOID THIS COMPANY! I will be reviewing them on every site I can! They will scam you out of your money and you will not get the tour you are promised! I'm going to see if I can file a complaint with the port against them as well.

Do not use this company for an Island Tour at the cruise port!
After docking at the port on our Royal Caribbean cruise in St Lucia, we were excited to go on a tour of what looked like a beautiful island! Once we got on land and made our way to the port shops we were swarmed by people trying to sell us on an island tour. The young lady told us that we would be going on a 2 hour tour to multiple places which should have included a Rum Distillery tour and tasting and a banana a plantation as well as a Cathedral as well as a few more places, and we also paid an extra 5 dollars each to go to the beach. What actually happened was all 8 of us got into a van and drove around the island (not the nice part) and stopped one time at a scenic stop to take a picture and be swarmed by local vendors all selling the same wares. As we drove past the banana plantation and the Rum Distillery we asked if we were going to stop and he stated that we were not supposed to stop at these places and we told him that we were told this by the salesperson at the port. Basically we drove around the island and stopped one time and at that point we told the driver to just take us back to the port. He continued to take us to the beach after we told him we were no longer interested in going. After leaving the beach, we headed back to the port where the driver let us out and we proceeded to the office (see pictures) where we bought our tour package. The lady brought the “President” of the company to us and he said out of his own mouth that he had gotten complaints before about this same issue and he kind of listened to us and then called for the driver Hyacinth who came over and promptly lied about what happened. Mind you, 8 of us were standing there telling this guy the same story. The “President” said he would give us back 5 dollars each as a refund. But honestly I would not recommend anyone using this company.
