- littleblue201600Wonderful ride in a beautiful landscape.Beautiful horses and beautiful landscape! I enjoyed the ride immensely, especially as it was obvious how much the horses enjoyed it too! The horses are clearly well trained and well looked after. Best parts were the flat-out gallops along deserted beaches. If you are an experienced rider, the 3-hour ride is hard to beat. My guide Alpha deserves a special mention: a real horseman.
- Venture20051300An awesome experience! My husband and I did the advanced horseback ride Wednesday 7/13/23. Let me tell you everything about the tour was perfect. We arrived late due to me mapping the drive the night before when there was no traffic. The owners said no problem when I messaged. They even responded with don’t worry, you will still get your full ride. When we arrived we were paired with our horses Lucky and Matar who are so well cared for their coats even have dappling. Every horse on the property was well cared for and obviously loved. Our horses were awesome, they were calm during the tour, but when it was time to gallop down the beach they were more than happy to do that as well. Our guide Tevin was awesome, he had us stop at all the prime photo ops jumped off his horse and took our pictures. He even climbed a coconut tree so we could have fresh coconut water and coconut. We also loved the dogs Tyson is the male, ( I forgot the females name 😔) who greet you when you arrive and go on the tour with you. They clearly have the best life and are fun to watch play and frolic in the various ponds and on the beaches.
- sharonmJ8058JY00Excellent experience, beautiful beachWe had an awesome time riding our horses today. Our guide, Jordan, was so kind and helpful. He gave us confidence and made for a rewarding experience. Highly recommend.
- davehC5691NZ00Highly recommendVery professional, took 5 of us including 2 kids and was a great time. Amazing views. Horses were great, even though they don’t eat apples lol. Only exotic fruit.
- 217aaronw00Great experience for any ageGreat, we had complete beginners from 9 years old to 70, was a great experience. We traveled from the cruise port and it was a little bit of a drive, but first class allthe way
- blancairisbeach00Horse RideMarch 28 2023, we ride this beautiful horse, what a experience. check in was fast, the staff very friendly and explain all the detail and rule clear. we had two young men with us all away to the beach, friendly and give us a lot of information of thing that we see on our way. I may spell there name wrong but they will have a idea how there are Ikim and Tevin, i would recommend this young guys and this company for the horse ride.
- L1194XHmatthewg00Highly RecommendExcellent and friendly staff who guide you with your horse. Jordan entertained us as we went down to the beach and back. First experience of drinking coconut water too! Thanks for making it all so enjoyable and to Josh the friendly owner.
- jaynicki00Amazing tripWhat an amazing experience we had riding in St Lucia, we were made to feel very welcome and after a short induction we were shown our horses and was on our way. The horses are so well behaved. Jordon was our guide and was very professional and you could feel the passion he had for his job. The trail was amazing and after an hour or so riding we arrived at the beach. Jordan and some other guides that were with another group collected fresh coconuts for us to sample, lovely added touch! And they tasted amazing! We then rode the horses into the sea. We felt completely safe and had complete trust in the horses and Jordan. Also, what made it even more special for us was the two lovely dogs that belong to the owner, they followed us all the way and enjoyed the coconuts as much as we did. Would highly recommend and should we return to St Lucia, will definitely book again!
- Dollyjewel12300Amazing first-time experience horseback ridingToday was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Horse back riding for the very first time. The views were breath taking (gorgeous sun setting on the ocean , mountain and ocean/beach scenery). My companion diamond was very gentle and understanding as she guided me along the path where my boyfriend proposed to me. Our guide Alpha was very patient and happy to capture every moment of our adventure. Btw even the dogs were loving and friendly Will definitely be back soon.
- emmawJ9609PE00Amazing, recommend to everyoneTevin & alpha were amazing guides for our ride and the owners were very friendly and went out their way to make our experience fantastic for us. The horses are clearly very well looked after and the staff know each and everyone to ensure your well suited and safe, and the horses really enjoyed their ride out, especially the stop half way at the beach for a roll and a swim (this was a highlight for the ones in our group who chose to ride them in the sea- certainly give this a go if your a competent rider) We were told interesting facts about the places we saw, got amazing photos and life long memories. This truly is an amazing place and I would encourage anyone, a rider or not to give it a go (we had a couple of non riders in our group and they enjoyed it just as much)
- Z5352WWsophiar00A great adventure! This was a REAL trail ride! Varied terrains, through jungle paths to open fields, and of course, the beaches! I recommend wearing jeans so you don’t get chafed in your thighs and wear sunscreen. The horses were clean and groomed and well cared-for. The owners are lovely! The bathroom was clean. There are lockers to store anything you don’t want to bring on the ride. Our guide was friendly. We saw so much! I didn’t want it to end! I’ve done several other horseback riding excursions at other Caribbean destinations, and I must say, by far this was the best all-around! A great value! Be sure to tip your guide and bring a treat for the horses from your resort or cruise ship! Apples and bananas are always appreciated!
- BJJNCyp00Fantasic experience, would recommend.Taxi from cruise port took about 30 mins. Lovely , friendly welcome by Keri. Given the option to ride in an English or Western saddle and as I took my own riding hat it was just a case of a brief chat about the horses by Keri and a disclaimer form to complete. I was given a lovely little mare called Atatlanta and then was accompanied by Tevin on another horse. The horses are very sure footed which helped when the ground was uneven and were definitely forward going and responsive ( even going into the sea ! ) A few cobwebs were blown away on the beach and the horses who all looked very well were certainly up for a leg stretch. Creole X horses are very capable given there size and I had a very enjoyable time. Thank you
- Eephalen00Highly Recommend While Visiting St. LuciaGreat views and overall experience. Would not think about going elsewhere. A great time for any level of rider/experience or even someone who has never been on a horse but would be comfortable with the idea. Highly recommend!
- kayleet200500excellentBrilliant, the horses were excellent at their jobs, the scenery was beautiful and our tour guide alpha was lovely! 10/10
- janesU5070BA00Simply stunningThis was the most wonderful experience. We went as a family of 4 and of totally mixed ability. The stables were so friendly and able to accommodate all of our abilities. The ride was stunning and taking the horses into the sea was simply incredible. Have a little picnic and glass of fizz whilst on the beach was the cherry on the top. Highly recommend.

A six month old filly came along with us just for fun , she was beautiful and she got excited when we reached the sea , she trotted along side us independently. I gently stroked her cheek she was delightful. Nature at its purest.

Booking online was simple, and the owner Keri responded quickly to my e-mail queries. Greeted warmly, and put onto our horses with help from the guides. You are shown how to hold the reins and steer the horses, although in reality they know exactly where they are going! Guides on hand throughout the tour to control the horses in case of need. As a novice rider I felt very safe. My guide was not very talkative, but my wife's was and kept us entertained and informed. You ride along a track that undulates quite a lot, and then cross grassland to a head overlooking the ocean where the guides will take photos for you. Rode across one beach, and at the next one we got off for a break, and were then able to ride the horses bareback in the sea - a highlight for me and got some great photos. Whole trip takes about 2 hours and is well worth it. Website has interesting back story about the business which is worth a read if you are interested. Thoroughly recommend the tour

Our guide was really attentive and kind, always keeping an eye on the horses and free to answer questions. The horses were healthy and friendly, to us and to each other. The guide had a good sense of who to put on which horse, based on experience of rider and temperament of horse. The trails and, at the tops of the trails, the views were stunning. Would highly recommend. Very professional operation well worth the money. A highlight of our trip, for sure.

We had the most amazing time and would absolutely do it again. The guides were there to keep us happy and were great at teaching us how to guide our horses. The ride is absolutely beautiful from beach views on the coast, at the top of mountains and through large pastures. My horses babies joined us on the ride which made it even more fun. There was a total of 7 houses and 2 dogs with us the whole time which made it even better! The horses love the water just as much as we do. 10/10 recommend. Also they are following all COVID protocols with the first thing they do when you step on the property is a temperature check and protocol breakdown.

We arrived slightly early by taxi but we're warmly greeted by the staff who were in the middle of hectic removal works (they had been given 2 days to move the whole office and toilet block 30m across the compound). They were extremely embarrassed by the lack of facilities but as it was well beyond their control (land owners instructions) we made do.
A quick Introduction to our horses and we were soon sat comfortably on the back of two calm and well behaved animals.
The initial walk out to the cliffs is very dissapointing as there is an obvious fly tipping problem. Apparently the government is trying to do something about it but are struggling to keep up with the problem. That said we were concentrating so hard on not falling off or walking into bushes that we only really noticed on the way back when we were more confident.
Once off the initial 'road' we broke out onto open country with some stunning views of the coast.
You drop down on to two deserted beaches and gently walk along the sand, through the waves before climbing back on to the hills above.
At the second beach we dismounted and took a quiet stroll and swim alone before joining guide and taking a swim with his horse. Experienced riders may be allowed to ride in themselves but as complete novices just being on the back of the horse with the guide was good enough for us.
The ride back was just as enjoyable as the ride out because we were now able to lift our heads up and look around being that slightly more skilled and comfortable than on the way out.
The guide took loads of pictures with our camera. It was certainly a day trip to remember.
Our guide, JayR was friendly polite helpful and very good at making us feel comfortable and in control of our horses. Teaching when needed and gently reminding us of wharves do when needed.
Thoroughly recommended for complete novices.

It was a great ride. My wife had never been on a horse and now wants to go on many more! The horses are well cared for. The only negative would be that our guide was overly quiet. Hard to get any conversation going with him. It’s possible he was just wore out since it was the last tour of the day and they walk with you if you’re beginners. They also seem very safety oriented.

Myself and 2 daughters had a brilliant time with Jordan and Akim as our tour guides. We rode Teflon, Cosco and Patch and they were lovely, well cared for horses. You can feel the passion the team have for their stables and surroundings. The trail is well kept despite the difficulties of tipping in a small part. We get that at home too as we live on a quiet lane. I could see that guides were checking and clearing the beaches and trail as they went. The beaches and scenery are beautiful and it’s nice to see another, more rugged side to the island. Our guides were chatty and took lovely photos. By far, the highlight was taking the horses in the ocean, which we all enjoyed. My horse covered itself in sand afterwards and it was great to see a guide from another tour hop on him and gallop into the ocean. One of my daughters, who is more experienced had a trot along the trail and we were joined by the dogs also which we loved.

Visited on 20/01/22. It was only my second time ever on a horse. Made to feel welcome and after the form filling got introduced to our horses and to our guides for the day Al and Matthew. Both the guys were absolutely fantastic, very patient and attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the horses and the surroundings. My horse Teflon was a 7 y/o male who was lovely to ride on at a slow a d easy pace. My partner horse an 8 y/o female Atalanta was also lovely and set the pace. We were one the beach on the Atlantic side which is completely different from the western Caribbean Sea side.
It was a great way to spend the morning in safe and capable hands of Al and Matthew wide the horses. Definitely recommend a visit!
Top tip - let the guys take the photos while you enjoy your ride. Take your swimmers and towel if you want to get wet with the horses. We didn’t which was a shame as we only paddled with,
Thanks again Sandy Hoofs for a lovely morning :-)

Jordan was a great guide, patient and accommodating - the horses were lovely to ride and the route took us across some hills and to two secluded beaches which you wouldn’t normally see. My bf had never ridden before but the horse was great for a first timer! Would recommend as a great morning or afternoon well spent! Horses were also kept in good condition which was good to see!

A dream come true!!! I contacted Sandy Hoofs a day before we wanted to book our private beach ride and they were super helpful and extremely accommodating. Being an advanced rider and my friend who was to accompany me, a beginner (her first time riding ever!!), I had to ensure she felt safe throughout. Alpha was our guide for the day and he took us out. He very knowledgeable, friendly and kept by my friend's side who rode a horse called Sasha. We rode along the West Coast of St Lucia and he took us to two private secluded beaches where I was able to go for a short canter! We even went into the water for a short while. The ocean was cool and refreshing. You are able to see how well kept and cared for the horses are. The entire experience was a dream come true and I would 100% recommend Sandy Hoofs - I will also be making another visit to them again on my next trip to St Lucia! Thank you Sandy Hoofs for an amazing afternoon!!

what type of clothing is recommended to wear while riding? in past experience i've worn jeans to help with the friction of riding, but ending up in the water with the horse, jeans aren't an option.

Definitely something light that drys quick. We had some short sharp downpours and got soaked
i will arrive on the queen mary in early december and wold like to ride. do you provide round trip transportation from the ship and if not what would be the cost of a taxi. will there be an opportunity to canter on the beach? is the tack English saddles? do you qualify the experience of the riders.? I don't want the ride to cater to inexperienced riders. what is the cost of the ride? what time does the ride depart?
Is there any way to ride without a guide
