    Bio bay
As a coastguard man I really recommend this place. Everything was safe and they have a well knowledge crew that are keeping an eye on everyone. Plus it was a amazing experience.

    All around great time
Transportation was a great bonus. Driver was amazing. The kayak instructors were really helpful getting everyone out and back in. The bay was beautiful and you could see the bioluminescence clearly when you moved the water. I recommend a sunset tour and the way back in the dark was much more difficult than the way in when it was light out.

    Beautiful experience for my family!
We had a great time on the Peniel Kayak tour of Bio Bay. My kids are beginner kayakers and the tour guides took great care of us and taught us the basics. The Bio Luminescent organisms were amazing. Michael took great care of us and made sure that we didn't get lost!

    awesome evening kayak tour
We always like to kayak whenever on vacation, and this particular tour was very unique and fun. Kayaking at night through a channel of mangrove trees into a large bay, guided by an almost full moon, was a thrill. We also saw the bioluminescence underwater light even with a bright moon. The guides were very helpful.

    Family vacation
Crew was great. However there has to be at least one person on the kayak that knows what they are doing. The guides need to help people with no experience to get out of situations that made it hard for others to enjoy. Definitely not for children. Also should mention that you need to walk in knee deep water to get to kayak. Water shoes would work much better than sandals. Over all a new experience for sure.

    Great experience
The staff was attentive, well prepared, and explained everything throughout the time that the tour was in progress. The bay was beautiful. It was a wonderful experience. Definitely worth seeing.

    A unique experience...
Only negative thing I will mention is it was sometimes hard rowing because of the people in other kayaks not paying attention to following distance. Besides that, the Laguna Grande is beautiful, we were lucky enough to see all the beautiful bioluminescence, it is magical. A unique experience!!!

    Great experience, helpful crew!
Good communication, email/text reminders, helpful tips on what to bring/wear and a friendly crew (considering that two of us are non-swimmers and had not kayaked previously). Overall, a fantastic experience with supportive guides and crew members.

Great tour guides with a lot of knowledge of the bay and ocean lagoons! Sting rays accompanied us into the ocean waves. Such a great experience for teens!

Not just a simple kayaking trip
First of all, the bay doesn't sit there glowing on its own. Some seem disappointed, but they need to get more info before going. The water glows when it is agitated, so only if you wiggle your hand or oar in it. Pick up some in your hand and you'll see little specks of light too. The kayaking is a real adventure though. We went for about a mile on a narrow course between mangroves, occasionally canopied overhead as well. It was quite lovely. The route is fairly narrow, probably two experienced kayaks could navigate it side by side, but we were given instructions to go single file. This is good advice, follow it! The bay empties and fills through this channel, so if you're with the current on your way out, you will probably have the opposite current on the way back. For us, that meant an easy glide to the bay and a workout coming back. The guides were helpful and fun, but our trip back was a challenge and in the dark too. They didn't really impress upon us the importance of staying single file, but it really is vital! We bunched up fairly quickly and it was a frustrating mess for about 15 minutes. Once we spread out things went fine, if not a little spooky in the dark.

Great time with the bio bay tour!
This was one of the adventures my wife and I did on out honeymoon. The tour guides were funny, supportive and very knowledgeable about the surroundings, not only in the water but also gave us a brief overview of the constellations, pointing out what we could see.

We did the trio tour (rainforest, beach, bio kayaking at 7:00). We stopped for some local food at a stand - awesome food and smoothies were great. The hike through the rainforest was super short and we were not allowed to swim in the river on the day of our excursion because the water was murky and they had some flooding. We were only in the rainforest for a short time (hiked/walked .5 miles) and then we were dropped off at the beach for 4 hours before we were picked up for the night kayaking. The tour guide for the rainforest was awesome and knowledgeable but in my opinion a back up plan should have been provided when we are not allowed to go into the river. Perhaps do more hiking through the rainforest to see more. Not just a quick visit to the river and then dropped off at the beach. The beach had some food options but many places were closed and there are no waves at Luquillo Beach (great for kids). We rented two chairs and an umbrella for $35 which was collected at 5:00. We ate at #25 - staff was nice and food was good.

In retrospect, this is one of the lamer tours. We got stuck doing it because most other excursions were already sold out during the busy week between Christmas and NYE. But this one includes no natural rock water slide, and no wading into a waterfall. (The waterfall you do see is just something next to the road where you snap pics for 5 mins.) I'd recommend looking for a more interesting itinerary. A good reminder to book early!

Really great communication prior to pick up, we had friendly high energy guide (Ingred!), and a beautiful quick visit through El Yunque tropical forest, saw a historical tower site, went to a fun beach with street food, and saw a ton of awesome scenery outside of San Juan. This tour doesn’t include the natural waterslide or the Bio Bay, but was a great, last minute, affordable option the week after Christmas and before New Years where we had practically 0 excursion options since everything else was booked. I felt well taken care of by our guide and would like to recognize her for her amazing hospitality! I also appreciated the last minute cancellation option should our plans changed!

Great trip. Jeremy and Louis were both great guides. Everybody was super friendly, even the other tour groups in the rainforest river. The rainforest was beautiful and the rope swinging and jumping was exhilarating! The beach was very relaxing and the water was very calm and a pleasure to swim in. Would highly recommend!

Such an amazing time!! Evelyn was kind and gave us such great insight on the forest. And had some pretty good jokes as well! Sebas was also funny and a great guide! I Especially Loved his vibe!! Jesu was also very helpful thru the rock climbing. He lifted me up with no problem and that’s saying a lot. They all knew exactly what they were doing and made me feel safe. Overall my first time experience to El Yunque was adventurous and had tons of fun. Will definitely be back!!! Thank you all for a phenomenal day!

Ingred was our guide , she had great information about the plants and the local area ! It was nice to see all the sights. However it was very lax no trail was available to take so we where by a flowing river , and saw the coco waterfall and climb up the tower! Great time overall. Would recommend to someone not trying to do trails and just get some information and spend sometime in the rain forest!

Not what I was expecting from the pictures. Rip off
Drove up the mountain for 30mins to the entrance to a trail. Walked down the trail for 15mins to a pool area in the river, which was very nice, swam for 35 mins.
Drove to the tower, walked up the tower 15mins and piled back in the bus. Stopped at a water fall on the side of a heavily traffic rode, for 10 mins. Took a few pictures from behind a guard rail. got back on the bus and drove to the beach.
No natural water slides, no swimming under water falls no rope swings.

Nice tour but definitely not what we expected when booking. We did go into the rainforest but did not hike or walk at length around. It was van ride and some pointing out the window. When we stopped it was some pretty views but not anything terribly memorable. Did not feel close to nature. When complete with El Yunque part, the tour guide left us at Kioskos and we were basically waiting around until pickup a few hours later. The combination of these two experiences was a rather odd choice. One great thing I can say is that our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable about the plants and animals of the rainforest.

This is a very good trip for you if you just want to explore the rainforest instead of enjoying a very professional hiking. We were caught in a heavy rain which is a very special experience in the RAINFOREST. Martin is our guide, he is very nice and friendly. He told us a lot about history and culture here. Overall, worth a try!

Be aware this is a not even close to a real hike. We came prepared to at least walk 30min to hour and see a waterfall
However we walked like 5 min walk to a river with a platform to jump from and a rope
We stayed there for like an hour then walked 5 min back to buss to go to the beach.

Pros: guide was great. Driver was great, saved a girl after a jump. Lot of good history. Market we stopped at was inexpensive and good. The beach was nice, calm water and good drinks!

Cons: bring water shoes for the rocks in river are painful. Don't waste time bringing a bunch of hiking gear.
