Food left a little to be desired.
Carola was great, she gets 5 stars. She was clearly passionate about the history and it showed. 3 stars is the price and food quality. Cuatros sombras and the croissant sandwich was really good. A popsicle at senor paletas as part of me paying $150 total feels a little insulting. El nido was 2 bites of food (not the biggest deal.) But La mallorquina was very disappointing as the entree! Rice was cold, mofongo was dry and came with no sauce (which is not how that dish is supposed to be served.) Have had mofongo all my life and several times in PR now and that’s still a first. (Eating moron go for the 10th time this month and all other 9 times it has had a sauce. Even the old white woman commented that it needed a sauce lol. Haubechelas were mid, and it felt like we were just constantly being sold on each stores merchandise. La bourquias have more pride than that for food. I would think long and hard about this tour and just do a walking history tour and then find your own food. They clearly have deals with these restaurants to pump out mid food to you for high prices.

A fun day of learning history and trying amazing food.
The tour was very well organized and well planned out. Our tour guide, Leslie Ann, was amazing and super interactive and engaging. She was very knowledgeable on the cuisines and would talk in detail about the historical facts of the places we walked through and the dishes we tried. She definitely went above and beyond in making the experience a memorable one for us and I highly recommend this tour, and Leslie Ann as the tour guide, if you want to learn about the history of Puerto Rico and try amazing food while you’re at it.

      Wonderful food and history tour
Wonderful food and history tour with Emely! She’s very friendly, well informed and passionate. She made sure we understood the food, was thoughtful to ask our food restrictions and also bring ponchos in case it rained ( thankfully the weather was perfect) and we had hands on experience making mofongo and asked us what we enjoyed best.

A perfect balance of food and history
Our tour with Nahiomy was fantastic. We visited 5 restaurants and learned some history while we walked between each. It was truly the perfect balance of delicious food and learning about San Juan history. Nahiomy deserves extra credit because she conducted the tour in both English and Spanish to accommodate everyone in the group. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who has an interest in learning about the food and history of San Juan.

      Not to miss
The tour is very well organized: everything is smooth, quick, interesting, beautiful and delicious! Overall I think it’s the best combination: to walk and see the old town, and to try local food at the same time! Emely is very friendly and nice. She goes far and beyond to accommodate everyone, and even remembers everyone’s preferences! Highly recommend!

Request Yoli for a great food tour of Old San Juan!
Yoli was amazing - enthusiastic, well informed, welcoming, excellent answers to questions, she made this a great experience all around. The food was very good and a good variety highlighting classic PR food. Old San Juan is really a great place to visit. It's small but a lot of quaint shops.

Super few hours spent in the old town.
Super few hours with a lovely guide taking us through the streets of the town. Passionate, amiable and interesting, Naomi was great. It was a good mix of food and drinks all in nice places. With any local food tour, you are not going to love every "course" but I felt it hit a great balance. Booked direct, hassle free, and a great way to pass a half day in the city. Recommended.

Ricardo was an absolutely amazing tour guide. He was informative, educational, charadmatic and provided both insight as well as humor into the tour. He had truly enhanced the tour. The tour took us to 3 locations, all of which entree full of history and served delicious drinks. It was a very fun experience.

This was one of the most fun things we did in San Juan! We had no idea what to expect outside of a few cocktails but we hit a rum finisher/distiller and then two of the local spots for cocktails and they all were awesome.

We even made friends with some folks on the tour and went to dinner with them afterward at a restaurant that our guide recommended to us! Raul was very nice and gave us a lot of information about the city and the bars we went to.

Highly recommend and grab a bottle from the distiller!

Itezel was super informative friendly knowledgeable warm and welcoming. My fiancee hurt his ankle and was walking with a cane, she made sure we were walking at a comfortable speed. Her connections throughout the tour made us feel like superstars. Definitely recommend doing the tour because we found better food and drink places in Old San Juan than near our hotel in San Juan

The rum tour was amazing, and it was all thanks to Ricardo. His mix of rum knowledge and local history brought the tour alive and kept everyone engaged. I cannot recommend this tour enough, and if you’re lucky enough to get Ricardo it will be great!

Our guide, Ricardo was beyond amazing! He started off by texting my husband and asking if either one of us has allergies. While we were waiting for the rest of the tourists, he told us about some history of Old San Juan, but this was only the tip of the iceberg. On our second stop, as we waited for our cocktails to be made, we learned more history about the bar we were in. Ricardo kept it entertaining by asking everyone their stories of their first cocktail. At our last stop, he asked us all for a story about that one liquor "you've forever sworn off from drinking"

This was definitely a fun experience and I learned a lot of history about the island.

Our tour guide, Ricardo, was amazing! And I cannot stress that enough. It was clear he enjoyed giving tours and being around tourists. He was knowledgeable and fun to be around. Overall great experience. The Scyer was the best bar experience we had.

Had a really enjoyable time with an our fabulous guide Alberto. The drinks were great - but that part is the easiest because it’s easy to find good cocktails in OSJ. Alberto made it interesting and informative with his knowledge of the places we visited, of local history, and of rum. He had a great energy and by the end of the tour he had all of the people on the tour chatting like old friends. Very worthwhile experience and a great way to start an evening in OSJ!

Our guide Itzel was awesome. She made us feel very welcome and even told us about the food trucks after which we indulged in. Next time we're in Puerto Rico, if she's not in Hollywood😉, hopefully she can be our guide on the food tour.

The tour was cool but admittedly I enjoyed the Food Tour significantly more. The three stops didn’t seem like a lot but I’d recommend the tour to get out and about to see more of Old San Juan - a good way to start drinking for the evening. Argeli was awesome as usual. We’ll be in St. Thomas next month, so maybe we’ll check out a Flavors tour there as well.

We had a great time on the cocktail tour! I learned a lot about rum and all of the drinks were amazing. We had a dark and stormy with homemade ginger beer and some hibiscus cocktail that was super refreshing. I would recommend this tour to anyone in OSJ! Thank you Yoli for an amazing evening.
