About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- N3086XVsamt0 contributionsAbsolutely worth the money! We had an amazing time! The crew was so kind and attentive. Highly recommend booking with them. They made us drinks the whole time, and the food was great. Sandwich, chips, fruit, and pasta salad buffet was very filling. Water felt amazing as well! Only draw back was the stormy weather cutting out time short by about 1.5 hrs, but we are so thankful that the crew kept our safety as a first priority. The company even refunded us back a prorated amount for the time missed due to weather. Book them now!!Written October 30, 2024

The crew was great and you could tell they really love their jobs. Captain Jose was so fun. The drinks were awesome and surprisingly, the food was really good too! Would highly recommend this trip and don't be afraid if you "wind up" at Culebrita due to weather or snorkeling conditions elsewhere...there is NO bad beach when out there and you will have a GREAT day!Written October 20, 2024

- kcV910AM0 contributionsBest cruise I've taken. Great boat, fantastic captain, attentive crew. WE SAW TURTLES!Great trip. We booked the snorkel excursion to Culebra on the motor powered boat, not the catamaran. It worked out well because the wind and currents were not ideal, and we were able to reach an island further away where the waters were calm. I appreciated East Island for pivoting at the last minute. Our day was fabulous. The captain was professional and funny. The crew was very attentive. There were plenty of drinks and lunch was tasty. It was basic make your own sandwiches, but the bread was fresh, and there was a nice variety of cold cuts and cheeses. The side salads were delicious. It was nice that the crew encouraged us to stay hydrated and were on hand with water. This company has great customer service and checked in with us prior to the trip regarding weather conditions. I've been on quite a few similar excursions, and this trip stood out for the great captain and crew, spotless boat, and overall experience.Written October 16, 2024
- 696slow0 contributionsGreat day outA great day thanks to Captain Arturo and his ace crew! Smaller boat made this much more enjoyable than the larger ones we've been on previously.Written October 16, 2024
- G2820MMedgarm0 contributionsI highly recommend it!If you’re looking for an unforgettable day of sun, sea, and adventure in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the all-day beach and fun experience by catamaran is a must-do! This excursion is perfect for anyone wanting to soak in the beauty of the Caribbean while enjoying a mix of relaxation and excitement. From the moment you board the spacious and well-maintained catamaran, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and a festive atmosphere. The crew is friendly, and knowledgeable, and goes out of their way to ensure everyone is comfortable and having a great time. Safety briefings are thorough, with a hint of humor so you can relax and enjoy the trip with peace of mind. As the catamaran sails off, you’re treated to stunning views of the Puerto Rican coastline, with turquoise waters shimmering all around. The ride itself is smooth, and there’s plenty of space to lounge, whether you want to catch some sun on the deck or relax in the shade with a cool drink in hand. Speaking of drinks, the complimentary beverages, including rum punch and soft drinks, add to the carefree island vibe. The catamaran makes a few stops throughout the day, including at a beautiful, secluded beach where you can swim, snorkel, and explore. The snorkeling gear is provided, and the underwater sights are amazing, clear waters make it feel like you’ve stepped into an ocean paradise. Lunch is served onboard, and it’s a tasty and fresh spread of local flavors, including sandwiches, salads, and tropical fruits — perfect for refueling after a morning of fun in the water. This catamaran experience is ideal for families, couples, or groups of friends looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation. Whether you’re snorkeling, sunbathing, or just enjoying the views, it’s an unforgettable way to spend a day in Puerto Rico. I highly recommend it!Written October 15, 2024

The positive first:
the communication with the company was great. They contacted me the day before the trip to confirm pickup and explain that the boat would go to culebra if the conditions allowed or to Icacos if the conditions were not great.
The captain and crew were also very nice and accommodating on the trip itself.
The vessel was Coast Guard certified, which made me feel much more comfortable about safety during the trip.
The lunch was pretty good.
Culebrita, where we spent the beach part of the trip was very beautiful.
The shuttle/bus from San Juan was clean and comfortable.
The not their fault (and doesn't impact the stars of this review) but FYI:
The trip out to the snorkeling location was choppy and many people were feeling the effects, including myself. I've been on several excursions and never felt the way I did on this trip. It was approximately an hour to get to the snorkeling location. Because of the way I felt, I didn't want to risk drinking alcohol which sucks because the amount you pay you're hoping to take advantage of that.
The seating area of the boat is enclosed and doesn't lend itself to interacting with others like you normally do on these types of excursions- which to be honest, with the choppiness of the water was likely required for safety reasons but it does take away from the experience. They may use different boats when the weather is nicer.
The reason for my rating:
They don't include snorkel equipment which is very clearly written /included in their info when you're booking. Even still, I think it's weird that they can't offer snorkeling equipment. Covid is likely the reason but soaking equipment in soapy water would eliminate that as an issue so not sure if it's a good enough reason.
Because we couldn't get to Culebra for the beach part of the trip (which was fine and explained to me beforehand as a possibility), we went to Culebrita. Beautiful but practically no shade (some spots under palm trees). IMO, the company should figure out a way to make the passengers time on Culebrita (about an hour and 15 minutes on our trip) more comfortable by figuring out a way to provide shade to those who decide to swim to shore. Oh yeah, the boat can't get super close so you do have to swim to shore. If you want to have anything with you, it would be a good idea to invest in a dry bag with a cross body strap so that you can have some things with you on the beach (towel, your phone, water etc). One of the crew does come to shore with some of the alcoholic drinks but didn't have water so make sure to bring that from the boat.
Bottom Line: I'm just not sure the value is there, especially if you are coming from San Juan, you're spending two hours commuting their and back (either on your own or via the transportation they offer for extra $). Two Hours on the boat getting to/from the pier to snorkeling/beach spots and then only spending a couple hours actually at the snorkeling/beach spots. The locations are absolutely beautiful but for the time spent out there, not worth it for me.

The boat ride was fun and the water was nice to play in. The drinks and food were pretty good. The crew was nice but not very attentive to the men or couples, but it was a nice boat ride and great weather even though we couldn’t go to the better island/beach we were supposed to. They said we would get a small refund back for each ticket, but they only gave us a small amount on one ticket. And for some reason we got sat outside the main cabin on the back of the boat on a bench, so we had no table to eat or drink on or place to keep our belongings because everyone ended up on the back of the boat once we stopped.

Got a call the day before that the boat to travel to culebra was damaged and now our trip would be to icacos. I understand things happen but this is an 80 dollar difference between each ticket. I was told the price would remain the same because we’d be on a much more “private” boat. They sent the most uncomfortable bus for pickup with a driver who sped past every pothole everyone was nauseous when we arrived in fajardo. It is pouring rain he tells us to get out that they’ll check us in closer to the port. After a 10 minute walk in pouring rain the people at the desk are unsure if we can even go the activity and ask us to wait atleast another 30 minutes (outside, in the rain) 15 minutes went by and I just decided to request a refund after a bus of about 50 people arrived and crowded up the tiny area we had. Everything was so disorganized really ruined my birthday. I understand the weather is out of everyone’s control but they need to communicate with paying customers instead of asking people to wait for miracles. There were storms all over the radar and 40 minutes in the rain still being told to “wait it out”. The bus driver didn’t even want to take us back in San Juan although we paid extra for the transportation.

Dec 2022 • Friends
I get up at 5 am for this trip to Culebra as they require self driving customers arrive early. When we arrived we waited for an hour that about 80 people were waiting at the check in window.
After checking in we were assigned a wristband. About 60 people were assigned to a larger boat to Culebra, and 20 people (including my friend and myself) were assigned to another smaller boat.
After we boarded we got told by the captain that due to “weather condition” we would either go to P island (no fish no coral) or go to Icacos Island (15 minutes away). We got confused that the other boat is heading to Culebra (my resort neighbor is on the larger boat) and they decided to exploit us by sending us to a lower cost place while we are all paying the same money.
Immediately some of us got outrages and asked to speak to the manager. The manager came, and after 40 minutes of nonsense, the manager decided to give a discount of 15%. We feel being cheated as if we want to go to other places we would book another flexible trip and such discount is ridiculous.
All the travelers on the small boat were then being told that the travelers were randomly selected on to this boat and although the other boat is heading to Culebra, we cannot. All of us then decided to get off this boat and asked for a full refund.
If you want to test your luck on holidays, go for this trip. There’s a chance that you can go to Culebra as planned, or being cheated, getting outrages and likely wasting your full morning in Fajardo asking for refund.

Great experience!! I’d go again! Highly recommend!
We opted in to get picked up at our hotel versus driving to the port in Fajardo from San Juan. The driver was over 20 minutes late and we called to make sure we weren't going to get left behind and they ensured us that since it was the same company that overlooked the transportation, that we wouldn’t get left behind but that the bus was just running late. Phew! They don’t treat you like a number and ensure you are who you say you are. Customer service is friendly and helpful. Everything is emailed to you on time and all the details explained in email. The person who booked the trip has to show ID when checking in at the port.
We had a group of 9. And 3 children. The 4 year old got sea sick and threw up and the crew bent over backwards to ensure he was fine and felt okay and didn’t leave his side until he calmed down. The catamaran boat was a lot smaller then expected but it didn’t even matter because we sat inside protected from the water splashing in and the sun. They offered snacks and drinks prior to a lunch. The chicken wrap was so tasty and big enough to fill you up. The excursion guides were friendly but stern in their instructions as they should be. Snorkeling was phenomenal as long as the goggles were on appropriately. The closer to the reefs you got, the better the experience. You can’t touch them as that could be dangerous but if you get close to make out details it is an awesome site. Flamenco beach is the most beautiful place in the world as it ranks one of the top 5 secluded beaches! It was the perfect timing out at sea snorkeling and at the beach. Enough to get back to our hotel in San Juan and have the rest of the night to go out.
We’d definitely book again!! Thank you for a phenomenal experience!!

My family and me did the catamaran to Icacos . This excursion was absolutely beautiful really . The 1 st stop the water we’re over 6 feet deep and the second was 15-30 feet in depth . My Teenage boys n husband loved the snorkeling experience. I love the beautiful beach. Absolutely breath taking . I had only 1 issue . We apparently had a Bachelorette Party or get together on this trip plus another group of young women the manner that they acted with children and teens present was so disrespectful. The had basically all of there private parts out and shaking there butty to point were I felt like me and my family were watching a Strip show . There was a family with young children across from us that had to take there child up front because it was so disrespectful. I don’t mind having a good time I just did not pay all the money that we did which was over $1000 to watch that type of show. A plus they also provide chicken salad wraps not bad . And unlimited Alcohol and drinks .

We were scheduled the day after a couple days of bad weather (think so bad that the ferry between Fajardo and Culebra were cancelled). The ride to Culebra on the power catamaran was a little bumpy. We stopped and the crew determined that snorkeling would not be good. We moved to the second spot. While not the best snorkeling we have done in the Caribbean, we saw some singrays and many other little fish along a little coral area. We at lunch on the boat (sandwiches, salads, chips, cookies, drinks), and snorkeled a little more. We then headed over to Flamenco beach. Unfortunately the waves were coming directly out of the North, meaning they were crashing directly on the beach. This created an unsafe condition for anchoring the boat. We tried several other locations until finally finding a nice beach on Culebrita. The crew was willing to extend the trip, however there were other customers that had flights that needed to be caught. Overall the Captain and crew did a great job of keeping everyone safe, finding places for us to spend the day, and keeping us entertained.

The tour was misrepresented, boring & extremely over priced. The captain, the bus driver & many of the staff were very rude. They kept everyone sitting in the tables in the cabin during the trip & you can only enjoy the ride & see the trip in the back of the catamaran. We only had an hour before lunch & anchored in the water & about 45 minutes after & they left early & I asked the driver if he can tell us about the route he said that was not his job! It was not a fun experience & will not recommend it & not worth paying almost $400 for 2 people & the lunch was just deli cold cuts & they only allowed about 2 hours anchored & skip one of the stops. Not a good tour or happy experience!

We didn’t go to culebra and they didn’t tell us in advance about the change. We wanted to go to culebra to snorkel and were taken to a random island with no reef. We only had a few days in PR and would have taken a different trip if we had been told there was no snorkeling, there was no reason to spend 2 hours on a boat and pay so much for a trip to a beach. They did tell us in advance we would need to bring our own snorkel equipment, which was included in the original price, so we bought our own (but didn’t get a discount on the trip!)

Our Trip planned weeks in advance, an excursion booked with East Islanders INC. days of planning, paid in full, expectations, confirmation time and ticket and we get our day ruined by a self absorbed unprofessional hospitality East Islander Inc. bus driver. 7 AM pick up at a Starbucks outside our Conrado Hotel, where the driver was 30 minutes late and had the audacity to lie to his supervisor and say that we weren’t ready for him. So the driver left us behind. We never made it to our Culebra Day Trip by Catamaran from Fajardo. $310 dollars and the company won’t reimburse us for services it did not perform. DO NOT book this excursion👎🏼❌

Hi! So, we’re a group of 15 people going to San Juan do you have anything that can host all of us? Or just limited to 10?

Does the tour allow you to bring carry on sized luggage to the boat? Is there a safe place to store luggage during the tour?
Written December 31, 2022
The boat and seating is large enough to support a carry on. But, the boat never docks at the island so you couldn’t get your luggage to shore once at the island.

Hi! I have booked a the tour on 12th July for 2 people. I wanted to check if I can request a hotel pick up. We are staying at Villa Herencia. Can anyone assist with this please?

They have quiet a few pick up points across the island on the way to the port. Just ask where the closest pick up point is to your hotel.

I don’t know about the cruise terminal, but the pick ups in the tourist areas are included, just contact the tour operator.
