We surfed Luquillo in January. Water was very rough due to winds. Our instructor was excellent. He kept us safe and gave good tips. Knowing the waves is all important and he did. The equipment is good for what we needed. If you want to learn to surf I recommend this group.

Cali and her crew were great teachers and had us up and riding waves within half an hour. It was such an amazing feeling that I called my boss, quit my job, and canceled my plane ticket home so I can surf every day for the rest of my life.

The practice on the beach ensured that everyone in the group lessons that day got up to ride the waves! My 13 yr old & his 12 yr old friend were both successful many times & didn’t feel beat-up by the surf when falling off - said the bottom was soft & sandy. Only drawback was due to the size of the group they had to share a board so got less opportunities which was frustrating to them & the digital picture that was indicated as part of the package didn’t happen. Would still for sure book again & will be looking for more surf opportunities on future trips. Thank you surfing Puerto Rico for helping the boys discover an additional interest!

I had a great time with Kali & her team. Beautiful beach and fun waves. The instruction was great and I enjoyed taking a few lessons during my stay.

Surfing Puerto Rico was the highlight of my teen daughters vacation. I booked the 3 day but ended up doing a 4th! Rio and Kalisol are AMAZING! They are so well organized and so caring about thei group but also about keeping everyone on the beach safe! My girls were riding waves almost immediately.

This place is awesome to rent surf board and take lessons. They give excellent instruction and I was riding waves within an hour. I will for sure rent from them again!

The owners, Brian and April, were fantastic with communication. We had an absolute blast! All four in my family were able to get up on the board and experience surfing in a safe environment. We liked how the water was only 3 or 4 feet at the absolute deepest point, so our kids had no issues. Brian is passionate about teaching, and it shows in the way he runs the business. If you are new to surfing, or an experienced surfer looking to become better, Surfing Puerto Rico was the way to go. Overall, from our first contact on, they were great people to work with.

Brian was a great instructor, setting was lovely! Got this as a birthday gift for my husband while we were visiting Puerto Rico and he really enjoyed it.

My husband and daughters (17 and 13) thoroughly enjoyed their lesson with Brian. He’s extremely knowledgeable, personable and clearly enthusiastic and passionate about what he does. He is encouraging and wants everyone to have a positive experience. It was fun for me to observe and watch, and next time I will join! April was also very nice and helpful. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and have any interest in surfing.

My two daughters came for a lesson. We arrived a few minutes late but were assured this was ok. My husband decided to also take a lesson because my 11 year old was nervous. When my 11 year old went to join the group the instructor asked her name. When she didn’t answer he berated her in front of everybody. He told her he could not teach her. He said she needed to leave. He pointed for her to go and for everyone else to follow. It is unbelievable that an adult can treat a child that way. He reduced her to tears and for no reason. He tried to apologize later to me after I returned to pick up my husband and older daughter. Nothing could excuse his behavior.

Brian is awesome - very patient with kids. You can tell he loves that island as well. Wife and two youngest children took the lessons and absolutely loved it. Let your kids go...they pick it up easier than the adults. It is convenient to have the option to book online. La Pared was awesome. Three of our five family members took the lessons, but the two of us that did not were able to go snorkeling just 100 yards away. Walk the other way and there is a cool rock outcrop to go exploring as well.

Was a great experience good for all ages really enjoyed the way all was explained. If you have the time and chances to go sur8try them first.

I had a great time surfing and learning to surf with Brian. The class that I took were mostly kids (I'm 30) that were all beginners, but Brian and his team did a good job of adjusting for the needs/ability of each person.

My kids had the best time and leasson of surf . They make so easy for them to learn. My kids have 5th and 6 years old.
