This tour was amazing, from the bamboo rafting captain to the company we booked with for the tour. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. I really enjoyed this bamboo rafting tour and will recommend it to my family and friends.

From start to finish, Jamoy was an incredible guide, driver, and friend. He made us feel safe and comfortable. We could call and count on Jamoy for literally anything that we needed (airport transfer, boats, jet skis, parties, cliff jumping etc.)

It was never a dull moment with our driver Marco from the moment we were picked up to the day we left had us debating on extending our stay. We absolutely enjoyed our time in Ocho Rios thanks to SSJ Tours, especially Jay and Jason. From our airport transfers to our excursions, both were very professional and knowledgeable. They shared the cultural history as we rode through different parishes. Our excursions and tours were a 10 out of 10 and were customized to our desire. We will definitely be returning to Jamaica and willl be using SSJ Tours again.

I had an amazing experience and would recommend this excursion to everyone who’s going to be in Ocho Rios. We started off with bamboo rafting which was super relaxing and then ended with at the Blue Hole. Our driver was awesome and made us feel very safe.

If you are looking for a relaxing yet exciting and beautiful sail on a bamboo raft this is it! This excursion comes with transportation , big plus, our driver Jason was very personable and got us to our destination safely. The rafting comes with a beautiful view, opportunities to take pictures on the raft and they offer the limestone massage, left my legs feeling so smooth and soft. Our driver back Jamoy was a blast he had my friends and I laughing on our way back to the hotel. I completely recommend this experience to everyone visiting Jamaica !

This was an awful experience. It took about a half hour just to get the raft untangled from all the other rafts that were grounded. Then once free we went about another block and that was as far as we could go because according to our rafter guy some other company owned the rest of the river and they couldn't go any further. He then pulled us back up the river to let us off. The "river" was pretty dry so it was a lot of work. Very painful experience. $100 for a terrible block and a half raft ride. And he expected us to tip him too. Along with the $200 taxi ride. Total rip off. We went to the Martha Brae bamboo raft ride the next day, and that was very nice.

The rafting experience was beautiful.. we took tons of pictures, the massage was awesome, very peaceful.. I have ABSOLUTELY NO COMPLAINTS can’t wait to do it again

It was a fantastic combination tour. Our chief guide met up with us just outside the cruise center in Ocho Rios. First he took us to the horseback riding part of the excursion. The staff there were excellent. They have a step up to assist riders in mounting the horses. A walking guide stayed with each horse and rider as we walked along the beach and in the water. The horses were great, very tame, very responsive to commands. I had never ridden a horse before and I liked it. Felt a little like John Wayne high in the saddle. The second part of the excursion was a visit to the famous Blue Hole. The Blue Hole, really a series of swimming holes are deep natural pools in the White River. And you walk along the trail to each of the 4 water holes. There are two opportunities to “cliff jump” into the water and two opportunities to “Tarzan swing” into the water. You can also just swim I the natural pools. It’s a little scary at first making that initial cliff jump right at the start but do it. It’s exhilarating. The mountain water is cool but tolerable. We never felt “freezing.” Our guide, Nicardo, was fantastic. He never put any pressure on anyone to jump. He showed us wear to walk along the trail and most importantly he held our phones for us and took video and pictures of us as we made our jumps and swings. The Blue Hole facility has restrooms and changing rooms so you can get out of wet swim suits at the end of the tour. We kept our dry things and money in the tour van while we were jumping and swinging. No problem. Our chief guide/driver stayed with the van. Bring some cash for tips for both the guys helping you with the horses (one guide per horse), for your escort guide at the Blue Hole and for the chief guide/driver. I believe the guides who work at the Blue Hole are lifeguards. I am 60 years old. If I can do the cliff jumps and Tarzan swings then you can too. It was a great day. You will love it. We were cruise passengers and booked this excursion on our own through TripAdvisor. However I am sure that local hotel guests could also do this tour.

The Bamboo Rafting is amazing and very peaceful can’t go wrong with this. Everything about it was beautiful including our guy which I forgot his name but I remembered 01/27 was his birthday an amazing man.

Are you kidding me right now??!! Jamoy is everything the good reviews say. He is honest, caring, professional, super competent and so, so kind. We have done a trail ride in Arizona before, and were able to (safely) lead our own horses. After reading about companies and tons of reviews, SSJ looked like it would allow the same. Yes. Info: Horses - You can either be led by a guide, or lead yourself with a guide always watching to make sure you're safe. Yes, the riding portion isn't super long. For us, it was a just right amount of time. You go to the stables, get set up, ride out to the water and down the beach, and back to the stables. Blue Hole - The kids (young teens) loved it. So did I and that was just for the hike and water. There's all kinds of descriptions of Blue hole so I'll leave that off. Tips: 1. Know that the driving will take time. Jamoy was happy to explain anything we wanted or answer questions etc. 2. Bring water shoes for both the ride (your feet get wet, maybe even up to your thighs depending on you and your horse etc) and Blue Hole 3. Bring a change of clothes and towels. Either sit on the towel in the car if damp, or change after Blue Hole. 4. You might be asked to buy stuff a lot. Ask your guides or tour guide how to handle that, based on what your preference is. 5. Bring cash with you. Tip generously. The horse guides, the Blue Hole guide, and your SSJ tour guides. 6. The phone number is on the website. The email addresses may or may not work. 7. Remember that it's Jamaica. What matters counts, and what doesn't, don't let it bother you. Here, everything is Irie because life is too short to be fussed about everything. Don't sweat the small stuff and have tons of fun. Wow, so disappointing. You know that feeling when you’ve been ripped off…if that’s what you’re looking for, book this activity with SSJ Tours. We were looking for a family activity for six of us in age range 2-70 years old. Got picked up at the hotel by 9.15am and drove for 30 mins to Rio Nuevo where the rafting started. We rafted for 10 mins, around 500 meters, during which we were offered to buy stuff. Then arrived at the beach where we were offered to buy more stuff, we rafted for another 5 minutes back to the place where we started and were again offered to buy stuff. Then the 30 minute drive back to the hotel. The activity time consisted of 1 hour driving, 15 mins rafting and 15 min stop on the beach all during which people were trying to flog us things. This was terrible!

We had a wonderful experience with our driver Andre H. He went above and beyond. We weren’t prepared to pay the entry fee. I didn’t research it enough so be prepared to pay 30 US dollars per person. Our guide for the Bob Marley Tour was Capt Crazy and he was definitely crazy! Made for a fun experience!

Jamoy was the best!!! He was very professional, safe, fun and made sure we explored Jamaica outside of the resort. I will be booking with him again very soon 🥳🥳
