Amazing view and fun ride
My husband, daughter and I did this excursion when we visited Ocho Rios, Jamaica on August 27, 2024. We purchased our excursion through Carnival. When we came off the cruise ship a tour rep was waiting outside, he greeted us and placed wristbands on our wrist then put us on the bus. The bus ride to Mystic Mountain took 5 minutes. When we arrived, a lady at the entrance greeted us and directed us to the sky explorer lift (chair lift) The guys made sure were secured in the chair lift. The lift took 25 minutes to get to the top of the mountain. The view on the way up (700 feet) was so amazing. On the left side was the view of the north shore and on the right was the view of the rainforest. When we got to the top of the mountain a nice lady greeted us, checked our wristbands and directed us to the bobsled. We also rented a locker for $6. The locker was big enough to store our beach bag and back pack. The bobsled ride was so much fun, they can go really fast. We only wished that the ride was longer or that we could have gone twice on the bobsled. Local food, burgers and drinks were available for purchase. We had access to the infinity edge pool and the water slide. Overall this excursion was fun and worth it. We would definitely do the bobsled again and recommend it to family and friends.

Shaq and Dunkin are great!! Very good instructors and they will make you laugh!! Make sure to also go on the river falls, the water feels amazing

I had a great time. Not only was this excursion entertaining but informative. I highly recommend this tour to ppl that handle a few jump scares. If not, the regular day tour will suffice. Me and my partner had a really good experience, the tour was about an hour long and it was just the two of us plus the tour guide which made it even more creepy but personable. We learned about the precious owners of the plantation and the houses history- such a great time. I have recommended this tour to most of my family members and I will definitely be back for a second tour. This time I won't be so scared since I'll know what's coming. The gift shop is so cute and the staff are so kind!

Beware the White Witch
OMG is about all you can say! My wife and I and our friends were staying at Sandals, this was a “must do” as far ad I was concerned. We did tour, got to the dungeon where we go to partake in the witches brew cocktail. Had a ball. Bought the photo. Great time

Tranquil experience
Very serene and tranquil ride along the river. Really enjoyable experience. It was fairly quiet and our captains didn't give any added commentary but they were pleasant and it was a pleasure to watch their rafting skills. I'd recommend.

Really Informative - Worth A Visit
Should you visit Jamaica it’s worth visiting Appleton Rum Estate. Very informative. Beautiful Grounds. Great to able to do the Rum Tasting & to know how the Rum is made. Please note:- Subject to where you are travelling from, the drive from Falmouth took my family & I a painstaking, almost 4 hours …… 😫 Estate opens from Tuesdays 9.00am to 3.30pm So, set off early!!!! Our guide-tour was good, interactive & funny 😃 Price:- £28.00 English Pounds, per person. I was disappointed to be informed, that Jamaica no longer owns Wray & Nephew/Appleton Rum. I will not say any more than that; you will find out yourself, when you visit. If you are a Jamaican resident entry fee is less, residence ID is required. Overall a good family day out.

Brilliant day out
This tour was brilliant. Great level of information whilst keeping the tone light and well-paced. Wonderful samples of the various products. Our tour guide was super fun and knowledgeable. The lunch at the end was divine. Would definitely recommend it. We drove from Ocho Rios and the views on the way were so beautiful.

I booked this for my birthday before we got to Jamaica and on the day of I called them asking what time was pick up and they told me they canceled my excursion because there was not enough people. They claimed they sent out a cancellation email but one was not received. But they had already taken the money and was not going to say anything. I then asked for a refund and IMMEDIATELY I received a cancellation email with my refund being processed. For future references do not book anything in advance Amstar or even the people that work on the resort will help you plan activities for a way cheaper price. We ended up booking with Amstar and it was only 300 for my friend & I.

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience with our customer services team. A quick review of your reservation shows your interaction where on requesting confirmation of pick-up, you were advised that the excursion would not be operating as the minimum number of participants needed was not met. Additionally, it was communicated that an email advisory was sent as per protocol which you said you did not receive and a report was sent to Trip Advisor to have this looked into. All payments are processed by Trip Advisor and not the tour operator which we have no control of. Similarly, refund requests are also processed by Trip Advisor usually within 48 hrs, however, at times they can go through immediately once properly documented. We again thank you for your feedback and will continue to strive to give all our customers a great experience.

Fun, but was ruined by additional costs.

Although the activities themselves were good, the communication was awful and to be fair there are a few points that tarnished the trip. Firstly they don't tell you that you need $20 US for lockers, as you can't take backpacks or stuff on the activities. Also on each activity you have different guides and in total there were 16 guides, all who want tips. I know they are sort of optional, but it is a bit in your face. Also at lunch you are only offered tap water free with your meal, anything else you have to pay for. Not what I expect when paying $488 dollars for the both of us. The ATVs in my opinion aren't very well maintained and several of them had insufficient brakes. Overall fun, but could be better. The communication of what we were doing, what we needed to wear and when was lacking.

We booked this tour for a girls trip/birthday. Everyone had a blast and I felt safe and comfortable. All the guides and employees were friendly and knowledgeable. The tour did take a whole day but it was definitely money well spent.

Michael(Mj) Ziplines, O’Shane(tour guide), Allan(bus driver) Atv guides and the horseback guide. For not only making the experience memorable but fun, exciting and very professional from start to finish. Highly recommended.

It was a wonderful experience. From start to finish. Love all the tour guides and the lovely driver. The only reason am giving it a four star is cos of the locker fees. I think is way too over priced $10 for a locker key. Outrageous.

Overall, this is a great excursion that will take the whole day. We were picked up from our resort (Sandals Ochi) around 8am and didn't get back to our resort until about 6pm. One thing to ask your resort before you book is if there will be any cruise ships coming in the day you do this excursion. I say this because we ended up having to wait over an hour at the ranch because a cruise ship came in and they gave them priority over us (which I understand). However, had we known that, we would've booked a different day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I believe the order can vary, but we did Dunn's falls first, which was nice because hardly anyone was there. Dunns Falls park gets PACKED with people, so I do recommend doing it first thing in the morning if you have that option. The water was very cold, but the falls are amazing. Save yourself some money and buy cheap water shoes from Amazon before you go. They are much bettery quality and a lot cheaper. Also you can wear your water shoes the entire time from when you leave the resort. We made the mistake of wearing sneakers, then had to change into them as soon as we got there and we never used our sneakers again. They charge $10 fro lockers at Dunns' Falls and then another $10 at the ranch. So, if you can avoid using a locker, you'll save yourself money. We point lots of sunscreen on before we left our resort and never needed it, even though we brought it along. So, I would leave the sunscreen at home as long as you put it on ahead of time. It costs $40 for the video/pictures that they take at Dunns Falls for the Falls itself and the zip line. I highly recommend it. Tell the camera guy right away that you're going to buy it and he'll make sure to include you more often in the video. We bought a water proof case for our phone from our resort and brought our phone, but we were really unable to use it. It was too cumbersome to try to pull the phone out while on the zip line or in the river with all the water. The only way I'd bring my phone in the river again is if I went and walked up the falls on my own, which you can do.

The zip line was very short, but still cool. It goes right over the river/falls and you can see if from a different vantage point.

At the ranch is where you'll ride the ATV's and horseback. There's a guy there with a professional camera that will take pictures of everyone. It is $50 for all the pictures, which is worth it. (Sandals resorts charges $20 for every picture they take!). The guy will initially tell you it's $80 for pictures, but that he'll give you a good deal for only $50. He tells that to everyone. Riding the ATV's on the beach was cool. Riding the horses into the water was really cool. I did this once before in Cancun over 20 years ago and it was a lot of fun. It would've been nice if they take the horses a little farther into the water so the horse is actually swimming (I did that in Cancun), but the guy said it's too dangerous for the rider, as the horse can sometimes buck.

You'll probably need $50 in tips. You have tip your guide on the bus, your guides in the river, the cameraman, the guides at the ranch, etc.

Overall, it was a great experience and I'd do it again, especially with the knowledge above.

Was told to be in the lobby at 6:30 AM for pickup bus the bus didn’t show up until 7:30 then the driver told me I wasn’t on his list another bus would pick me up no one never showed. Customer service was quick with offering a reschedule or refund I choose refund I received my money back instantly.

Hi Charles, We spoke on the phone regarding your reservation during your stay at your hotel. For this excursion, initially, even though you were advised that pick-up is offered from your hotel at 6:35 AM, you had arranged your own transportation, and you were provided with all the details for where to meet, the check-in process and at what time you should arrive at the latest. Unfortunately, on the morning of your tour, you called at 6:34 AM communicating your arranged driver was not responding to your calls and you would like to join the shuttle, I said it should be possible since the shuttle had not arrived at your hotel as yet and send the notice to the dispatcher even though it was literally a last-minute request. Regrettably, your driver did not receive the information intime and he did not stop at your lobby as you were not on his list for pick-up. Other guests at the Reggae and Palace lobby were picked up. The shuttle that showed up at 7:30 AM was for a different tour and your name would not have been on that pick-up list. We spoke again on the phone, and I apologized after checking with the transportation team, understanding the driver had already left when the notice of your request to use the shuttle service was received. I extended the offer to reschedule you to the next day or provide a full refund and you choose the refund option which was initiated right away. Confirmation of your refund was emailed a few hours later after a brief follow-up with your booking agency.

Great tour, super fun

Great day in Ocho Rios. We were picked up from our hotel around 8am in nearby Runaway Bay. The horse ride was fantastic, our tour guide Conrad was super accommodating and made sure we were comfortable with our bourses. The ATV drive was super fun, we ended at the beach for some nice photos. Then we were taken to a nice jerk chicken lunch where you could do some souvenir shopping. Then we went to Duun’s fall on a fun Bob Marley themed bus. The zip line and climb were fun. However with the climb there will be very limited time to take nice photos at the falls, you’ll get some photos from the company taking group photos, but nice individual photos at the fall will be hard to take, unless you come back on your own or opt out of doing the climb and exploring on your own. Overall great experience, tour does a great job accommodating tourists. We had a bit of a hick up on the return to our hotel at the end of day and had to wait for a few people to return from their excursions but we were returned to our pickup spot by end of day. Would 10/10 recommend.
