          Jamaican Food Herbs and Coffee
I found this tour educational about coffee and the herbs of the island. Many of the herbs were used as medicine. I also found the information on coffee very informative. At the end of the tour we had the cook out. The food was very good.

          Absolutely Amazing Time
Love, love, love Traverse Jamaica and Lascells and the family. They took such good care of our group. We ranged in age from early 20s to mid 60s and all of us had a great time. We were met promptly and easily at the ship, and Lascells even remembered my favorite Jamaican fruit the nesberry!!!! What a fabulous welcome! Off to the Blue Cole we went where we went jumping and tope swing and had a grand ole time. Then off to Dunns River Falls to Climb the Falls - which is always a grand adventure. Then to have lunch, the most amazing Jamaican food home cooked. So, so good!!!! We really could not have asked for a better day. He had a photographer along for the day, and the photos are truly amazing. I can't wait for my next trip to Jamaica. These are life long friends now!!!

Great tour; even better tour guide.
My family and I took the Dunn's River Falls, White River Tubing, and Blue Hole tour. What a great day! It is definitely worth the money if you are considering this tour. This tour and company was better than any tour I booked through our hotel. Our driver/guide was Lascells Broderick. He was very friendly and knowledgable about the area, attractions, etc. As my family were the only ones on this tour, Mr. Broderick let us go at our leisure, often asking if there was anything we wanted to know about or see. He even got us lunch! This tour was definitely the highlight of our trip. My kids (ages 11, 15, and 16) couldn't stop talking about all we did and how much fun they/we had. Great memories were made. I would definitely recommend this tour and company.Thank you Traversejamaica Tours and Mr. Broderick! You made this a fantastic, special time that we won't forget.

          Blue Hole, Ocho Rios
We had a group of 29 ranging in ages <1 to 83 and we were accommodated very well from ship to destination and safely returned. Lacells was a terrific guide and delivered on all promises. We booked this directly with Lacells and I was extremely happy with the level of communication between his team and me prior to our arrival in Jamaica. As for the Blue Hole....This is a must for any thrill seeker! Beautiful, fun and exciting! Highly recommended!

          Ocho Rios Highlights Tour
An informative insight to Ocho Rios, especially if you love flora & fauna, I've even had the pleasure of sampling a red banana! We were driven through Fern Gully then up in to the hills that overlook Ocho Rios. There was also a brief trip around the town centre but unlike other tours that we have been on there were no stops for pressure sold souvenirs. The trip ended with lunch at Scotchies for jerk chicken and pork. Delicious.

Jamaica Beach Cookout Tour from Ocho Rios
What a complete rip off. We went on this tour on Jan 29/16 and were picked up promptly by the driver. We drove around for 2 1/2 hours stopping a couple of times to look at fruit and trees. We also got to taste some fruit. We then stopped at a jerk chicken restaurant where the driver purchased 1/4 of a chicken and some jerk sausage for the three of us. He poured us some juice from a thermos. We said nothing at this point as we still thought there was more tour to come. He then took us back to the hotel. NO BEACH - NO COOKOUT - NO LUNCH!

          Fantastic local tour
Great local 7 hour tour from Jewel Runaway Bay. Mr. Lascells Broderick picked us up at 9AM and we headed out to tour the area in & around the resort. Stopped along the way to sample local fruit picked right off the tree. Tasted coffee beans at a local farm. Saw many historical homes and buildings. Visited Turtle Falls which we highly recommend to all. It has 14 waterfalls many thta can be climbed. It is not nearly as crowded as Dunn's Rivers and you get to see all sorts of local flora as well as feed the Koi plus walk into the bird aviary to feed all sorts of parrots and other birds. We ended up at a local beach in Ocho Rios where Mr. Broderick who was a chef at one time fixed us lunch which included the best Jerk chicken we have had in our now 5 trips to Jamaica. Our family would highly recommend this tour if you want to see some of the real Jamaica and not just resort life. Ask for Mr. Broderick for the best Jerk chicken you will ever have.

          Taste of Jamaica Tour
What an amazing tour! We wanted something a little different as well as away from the tourist crowds. Our guide, Lascells Broderick was so knowledgeable, and really did it all for us. We started with a drive to Fern Gully, and all along the drive Lascells told us about the different vegetation, fruits, and spices found in Jamaica. He got out of the van a number of times to get leaves, spices, coffee beans for us to see and smell. The tour included tastes of many different types of fruits. We then went to a great little swimming spot and had a great time in the water while Lascells cooked jerk chicken, boiled bananas, acai, and yam. We spent another hour or so enjoying the food, the beautiful view, and listening to Lascells talk about the island. Highly recommend this tour!

Unique Authentic Jamaican Experience for 160 Zen Cruisers!
We had a large group of 160 people on The Zen Cruise 2015, and Ocho Rios Authentic Tours/Traverse Jamaica was amazing! Not only did they put together a unique custom experience for our group and work with us to make sure we had the experience we envisioned, but they were fun and professional and made sure everyone had a fantastic experience. Lascells is a great guide; Pamela "Anderson" Broderick is so much fun. I highly recommend booking your tour with them and know that we will use them again in the future. Very grateful!

          Taste of Jamaica tour
We recently took a tour with Ocho Rios Authentic Tours (or Traverse Jamaica Tours) called "Taste of Jamaica." We arrived by ship and decided to take this tour instead of the more expensive and standard tours offered by the cruise line. The price of the tour was very reasonable considering that it lasted for several hours and went to many interesting places. Our guide's name was Lascells Broderick. We were the only 2 people on the tour that day and had a very personal and attentive tour experience. Lascells began by driving us through Fern Gully where we had a brief photo stop. He explained the terrain we were seeing and how it had originally been the bed of a river. The lush vegetation was beautiful. Then we went up into the higher elevations and saw the more agricultural area of Jamaica. We stopped and sampled various fruits which Lascells picked for us right from the trees! He explained what they were and how they were grown or used and was very knowledgeable. The tour as described said that we would then go for a cookout on the beach, but that wasn't exactly what we did. We went back down to the drive along the ocean and stopped on the road near the entrance to Mystic Mountain where Lascells took us to see a beautiful waterfall that emptied into the sea. There was a pool there where some of the locals swim and he invited us to get in the water, but we decided that we would skip that wasn't really a "beach" area (no sun or sand and a lot of leaves floating in the water). Not that it was a bad area for swimming or sitting under the waterfalls, but we were expecting more of a beach. I did climb out onto a fallen tree with Lascells and took some photos of our ship at the pier in the distance as well as several photos of the beautiful waterfalls. While there we were approached by several vendors trying to sell us their souvenirs which made me a little uncomfortable since they were pretty aggressive. Lascells did try to run interference. He also showed us how jerk chicken is prepared and put some on a grill that one of the street vendors had there. We spent some time there as the chicken cooked and he told us all about various herbs that Jamaicans use for both cooking and medicinal purposes. We shared a piece of the chicken, which was very tasty, but It might have been more enjoyable if we were able to sit down while eating and be more comfortable. Then he drove us back into Ocho Rios where we asked to be dropped off so that we could shop a little before returning to our ship. Overall, it was a pleasant tour, a good value and Lascells was an excellent guide. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing some of the countryside and learning about the foods and fruits of Jamaica.

          Ocho Rios at it's best!
My husband and I had not planned on a hosted excursion went we went ashore in Ocho Rios. We were approached by Pamela Broderick of Traversejamica Tours and were impressed by her demeanor and sweet spirit, not to mention the private tour she was offering was at a price that couldn't be beat. She got a feel of what we were interested in and off we went into the beautiful countryside. Ms. Broderick was so knowledgeable and informative. She was helpful in taking pics with both our cameras and just a very patient and kind person. We could not have had a better guide I'm sure. She represents Ocho Rios and Jamaica very well. We will recommend her to our friends and family for sure.
