Here you will discover cave paintings, tools and fragments of pottery that indicates the original inhabitants of the caves were the Taino Indians who would have used the caves for shelter. The next known inhabitants were the Spanish who, at the time of the British invasion of Jamaica (in 1655), hid in the caves to avoid capture. There is an underground tunnel which links the caves to the sand at Runaway Bay. It is believed that the Spanish used the tunnel in their attempt to escape the Island and flee to Cuba. Runaway slaves have also used the caves to hide from their former masters. During World War 2, Rum barrels were stored here for safekeeping by the Jamaican Government.

          Brilliant day out
This tour was brilliant. Great level of information whilst keeping the tone light and well-paced. Wonderful samples of the various products. Our tour guide was super fun and knowledgeable. The lunch at the end was divine. Would definitely recommend it. We drove from Ocho Rios and the views on the way were so beautiful.

Mystic mountain in Jamaica was so much fun
I tried booking an excursion online and it was a complete disaster. It didn't work out for me once I got to my hotel and try to confirm everything that I did online, there was a lot of discrepancies It was not worth the aggravation or hassle . I was very skeptical of rebooking any type excursion after that Due to my now, elevated stress level, thank God!!!!!!!! I changed my mind and I had the pleasure of meeting 2 of the most wonderful people I've ever met. They worked for Jamaica Tours, Dionne and Maxine was exceptionally good and professional. Their people's skills was amazing. I felt very confident after they explained my entire package.and everything that was included in the package I chose For myself and my son. They guaranteed me that my ride would be there at 9. AM. And they also guaranteed me that he would be there to pick me up everything they said was the truth. My ride to Mystic mountain booked through Jamaica Tours Was comfortable and relaxing we felt safe the entire way there . Upon arrival, we were greeted by. 2 smiling employees at the front desk, who gave us our wristband band for the day And explain all we needed to know about our ride up into the mountains. Jamaica tours is definitely going to be my pick whenever I visit Jamaica and booking any more activities. I also had the pleasure of meeting a very nice young man by the name of Hsani he was my tour guide on my activity course while my son Zip Line I was very skeptical of doing it at first. But he assured me that I would be safe and he looked very confident in what he was doing. He also took the time out by choice to take videos and pitches of every task. We were trying to complete on that course by this time slowly my scaredness went away and I was now more excited than ever. Most importantly, I would like to thank all the people who made my son's trip to at Mistic mountain memorable from, everyone on the Zip LineCrew,The Raggamuffin Ride the Bob Sled Ride you guys were phenomenal and welcoming I appreciate you very much. After doing all our activities, we were able to stop at the restaurant to get something to eat. That Area was also very clean, very much presentable. They had comforting chairs and tables for us to sit and eat. The atmosphere. There is also beautiful. You're surrounded by trees and beautiful flowers While listening to a variety of birds singing And relaxing music playing.thres lot of choices on the menue like rice and peas, jerk, chicken, beef or chicken patties, There was also a vegetarian option if i'm not mistaken ,Frozen drinks ,fruit punches a variety of sodas.etc It's a beautiful place to visit. You cannot go wrong with visiting mystic mountain. It's worth every penny. The atmosphere, the trees, the flowers . Not to mention their infinity pool with slide So if the day is very hot, you can cool off with a nice breeze from the mountain, soaking up the sun in that infinity pool. Mystic mountain was definitely a blast. It will be on my list the next time I'm in Jamaica. I will definitely visit again.

          Great Experience!
Amazing to see the the plantation/estate. We booked through Royal Caribbean Cruise we were on. The roads are pothole riddled in some segments, but our driver and guide were very experienced , and got us there and back without incident ( through a hard rainstorm for the last leg). Had our taste of many different rum (quality & potency). Had a create Jamaican lunch and our guide Steven was well versed in the history, and importance to the worldwide rum industry overall....Its worth the trip!

          Jamaica - home of rum!
One of the best “tasting” tours I’ve done. From production through to the tasting everything was excellent. Our guide Steve was excellent and he and all the team that were there for the group made everyone feel welcome. The history lesson on Rum and Jamaica so much so that I’m giving up gin for rum now! :-)

They told me I was too fat to ride they horses.
They told me I was too fat to ride they horses. They had little horses with placenta on their breath. No large horses for large people. Several people (male and female) couldn't ride.

Face Your Fears…..just do it ✔️
Facing my fears…..absolutely petrified to do the zip lining but ended up totally loving it! Was first made to feel comfortable by the quality of the equipment and the professionalism (with humour) of the entire staff. Led by Jason, he gave us a great overview of the process and then led us up to our 1st of 7 zip lines and 3 suspension bridges. Of course it was scary at first but I learned to enjoy the ride knowing I was safe and in great hands with Jason and his team. Thank you for helping me face my fear! Onto the Dunn’s River Falls climb, last time did it I was about 35 years old, now I’m almost 68! You definitely need to be steady on your feet and strong enough for some stretches but everyone is helpful to one another and supportive to get you there. It’s loads of fun and rewarding when you reach the top. This was a great day where I stretched my limits and felt proud by the end of the day. Highly recommend!

          Go for it!!
This was all a positive experience- booking was smooth, driver was friendly, connection with the raft captain went well. Captain Pablo was outgoing, helpful, and full of information. The lunch stop included time for a swim, and it was great. Bring sunscreen, suit and towel Belinda’s red snapper lunch was fresh and delicious. So glad we tried it! About $2500 Jamaican. Driver was waiting at the end of the trip. Gorgeous weather, secluded and quiet route. Birds were the only visible animal. So glad we did this adventure.

          Not worth $90!!
I did this adult only excursion on 3/29/24. The price was $90 through Amstar. It said to offer unlimited drinks, snacks, snokling, a party on the boat, a tour of Negril and then get to go to Rick"s Cafe. Jamwest is a cool hangout spot. The staff is friendly and cool. Check out the gift shop. Back to the excursion... it was not worth $90. The drinks were unlimited and the "snacks were just bags of chips. Getting onto the boat from the beach, they make you walk through the water with all of your belongings. That was not told when booking. Also, getting on and off the boat is dangerous. You really don't need to bring anything, but money. The ride was horrible. Myself and 2 others became nauseous. You couldn't get up and party due to the horrible ride. The bathrooms had no soap or running water. If you decide to snokle, you get the gear. For those who are not snokling, you just sit on a quiet boat. The DJ turns the music off and it is completely quiet on the boat. You only get an hour at Rick's Cafe. Which isn't not enough time to truly enjoy yourself. Once there you can jump of the cliffs. Rick's is always super crowded. You will definitely enjoy the dancing, the music and just the vibe there. It is not just worth $90.

          Island Time
We did the River Rafting in Falmouth and Davian was our guide. He was energetic and extremely knowledgeable of the history and areas we were passing through. My wife hates to be cold and wet, but took one for the team. Davian took the time to accommodate my wife making sure she didn’t get as wet as the others, but in a manner that didn’t take away from others in the tour. He a gentlemen, and a true representative of his island. RESPECT. Chris A Massachusetts

Duo tours on time and safely.
Ice was an awesome driver. Got us to our destinations on time and safely. Showed us a couple spots along the way. He even got us on the earlier boat ⛵. Definitely recommend him for your tour needs.

Great but commutation needs to be more clear.
The trip was amazing. The guide was great. Pick up was on time. The only note would be to carry closed toe water shoes. The excursion communication called out water shoes and did not specify closed toe. When we got there we were told that we could not go on the excursion if we did not have closed toe shoes. We had to purchase them at the site which was very expensive.

Excellent service for the whole trip. A driver picked us up on time at our hotel and drove directly to the caves answering our questions and offering interesting information about the local area. Once there allowed time for pictures, and presented us with our tickets to get in, no waiting in line. The cave tour was excellent! The guide was very knowledgeable and funny. The caves are easy to walk around, nice boardwalks and paths. Enjoyed the little bats and all the history surrounding the caves. If you enjoy nature and the natural beauty of an areas landscape come and see the caves.
