We arrived with a private tour. Martin brought us there which the roads are really sketchy!! Thank you Martin. Once there it was so quiet a Thursday morning so lucky. George brought us to the top at the shelter. He explained all the process and the types of coffee. I learned so much. Than we did a coffee tasting. Their coffee is so good. It was a beautiful tour. We stopped for lunch to this welcoming cafe, blue cafe. I highly recommend this tour.

What a great experience! Nigel communicated with me immediately after booking the tour and the pick up, transport, and wealth of information were all wonderful. Nigel is so knowledgeable about Jamaica and I really enjoyed learning from him. At the coffee plantation, Junior gave us an informative talk about all things coffee and then served us the most delicious coffee. I also really enjoyed learning from Junior and walking up to a gazebo on the plantation. He was flexible in adding on a visit to Trench Town after our coffee tour, which was also amazing. Highly recommend this tour, and thanks Nigel!

I really enjoyed my day and the tour guides, specifically, Alwayne, Saleem and Omea (Photographer) were exceptional. They had a lot of vybz and they made the experience even more memorable. This trip was amazing! Nigel was an awesome guide: super friendly and knowledgeable, and a very safe driver. Every driver we had in Jamaica was super punctual, but Nigel was no exception. The coffee was also great and I loved seeing this part of the country, which is so gorgeous and totally different from the beaches and city around Kingston. We kept seeing little rum bars along the road, and I mentioned that I wanted to try one, so we stopped in for a drink! I highly recommend this trip and Nigel as a driver.

Great tour for getting out of the city for a few hours. Driving up the Blue Mountains is so gorgeous and highlighted with delicious coffee at the top. Nigel was a great guide, nice chat and a clear passion for showing off the beauty ofJamaica. Did a pit stop at a river where locals were cooling off. Would recommend.

Great driving and guiding along the way by Nigel at Yahman Excursions. He patiently put up with all my questions about Jamaica, Kingston and Blue Mountains. At the Blue Mountains Coffee Estate we were greeted by Jerome who was a fountain of knowledge of all things coffee. I learned a lot in the beautiful surroundings! Amazing scenic views! Stopped for lunch at Crystal Edge restaurant on our way back. Great food and a nice place.

Nigel tailored various tours for me. The Blue Mountain tour was great and the coffee you can only buy from the Craighton Estate after the tour. It is the most sophisticated tasting Blue Mountain coffee. He also took me all around Kingston to the Chinese Garden at Hope Gardens, Devon House, Bob Marley and more. We did a Jamaican Pattie tasting tour. Nigel is reliable and very informative. Would highly recommend!!

Nigel was a great driver and your guide. He picked me up promptly and was able to tell us about the area as we drove up the mountain side. He’s was kind and courteous. He took us to an exclusive coffee tour and it was amazing. Highly recommend Nigel as your tour guide if you’re in the Kingston area.

Had a great time on this tour with Nigel. He picked us up from the hotel in Kingston and took us up the mountain side by car to the blue mountain coffee stop. He gave us the opportunity to stop off for lunch afterwards at the café not too far away. I would recommend eating at the café as opposed to the restaurant as it was far more organised. The tour around the coffee estate was conducted by the staff there and it was very informative. It does involve walking up the mountainside, but there are regular breaks and a slabbed path. Some of the fatter members of the group did struggle but I think if you're relatively fit and able you shouldn't have an issue. After the walking tour we had a brief presentation about the coffee accompanied by a cup of filter coffee and a small price of rum cake. After which Nigel took us back to the hotel. US dollars are accepted everywhere but you will get change in Jamaican dollars, so remember to carry plenty of smaller bills. Nigel was a great tour guide and if he had an individual rating it would be 5/5!

Nigel was an excellent tour guide for this day. He was an expert driver going up and down the mountain, while raining too. I felt very safe as he took precaution, honked his horn going around curves, and more. He was also kind enough to take us to other tourist attractions after we completed the regular tour for an additional fee. What I really appreciated was not just learning (a lot!) about coffee on the primary tour, but also the extra cultural and social elements that Nigel was able to provide. Finally, at a very reasonable price, Nigel offered to take my friend and I on an independently arranged tour of other things we wanted to see in the Kingston area the next day. Nigel is definitely the go to guy for Kingston tours!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I had an excellent experience with Yahman Excursion. Nigel, the tour operator was professional and very knowledgeable about the sites and the Island in general. I wanted to act like a tourist to see what so many Jamaicans don’t experience because of circumstances or lack of knowledge. I booked the Blue Mountain Coffee tour. It was a fantastic experience getting to the Blue Mountains, the drive up was eye-opening and nail-biting. The Coffee Tour was wonderful. We hiked up to where the coffee plants were planted over 3000 feet above sea level. Our Coffee guide, Junior, was extremely knowledgeable about the Estate and the complex history of coffee in the Americas and Europe. I was able to ask the tough questions surrounding the connection between coffee and slavery, coffee and “the Church” and other complexities. Then we sampled the coffee with rum cake on the veranda, overlooking the mountains. I learned a lot on this tour and my understanding was broadened. After the Coffee tour. Nigel suggested lunch at Café Blue. What a wonderful suggestion. The Café was situated on the side of the mountain. It was a beautiful setting. The tables and chairs were carved from surrounding trees. It was beautiful. Equally beautiful was my lunch. I had Brown Stew Fish and Coconut water. Nigel had Oxtail and rice and peas. I asked Nigel what other cultural sites I can visit. He suggested Rose Hall and the Green Grotto Caves. Then he offered to arrange the tour for the next day and be my tour guide once again. Wow!!!!! I was not expecting that. I was truly delighted that he offered and that he understood what I was interested in seeing. Good thing that Nigel and I got along cause the tour the next day was for the entire day. We left Kingston at 7 am and took the newly constructed south-north highway and “back” roads as well. We traveled through Fern Gully and several parishes to reach Rose Hall. The drive alone was beautiful, peaceful and at times exciting. We reached Rose Hall around 10 am. The estate is beautifully manicured and maintained. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about the estate and the history of the inhabitants. It was a beautiful house, but the history of slavery, brutality, infidelity, and murder was sobering. Our next stop was the Greet Grotto Caves. Truly spectacular. Our tour guide was entertaining and humorous. He was very knowledgeable about the caves and how the slaves used the caves to escape. We toured the caves and saw birds and bats. Our tour guide also showed us stone images and carvings that resembled people, places, and things. He showed us how the slaves communicated in the caves and how dark it was for them. I truly enjoy the caves and our tour guide. He was humorous. After the tour, we stopped for a bite to eat, a quick toe dip at Flavor Beach, and picture ops at Little Dunns River. What a wonderful two days. I would highly recommend Yahman Excursion and Nigel for all of your touring needs while in Jamaica. Nigel was professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and a safe driver. His taxi was clean inside and out. We had good conversations about the future of the island and how tourism is rebounding after Covid.
