Itinerary
- 1Here you will discover cave paintings, tools and fragments of pottery that indicates the original inhabitants of the caves were the Taino Indians who would have used the caves for shelter. The next known inhabitants were the Spanish who, at the time of the British invasion of Jamaica (in 1655), hid in the caves to avoid capture. There is an underground tunnel which links the caves to the sand at Runaway Bay. It is believed that the Spanish used the tunnel in their attempt to escape the Island and flee to Cuba. Runaway slaves have also used the caves to hide from their former masters. During World War 2, Rum barrels were stored here for safekeeping by the Jamaican Government.

- edward3460 contributionsGreat informative tourTour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The tour takes you all the way through rum production and ends with a tasting session. Tour is around 45-50 minutes and good value for money. Nice way to see the estate.Written October 23, 2023
- Companion273311748140 contributionsNice tour but way too expensiveThe driver and the tour guide were super friendly and professional. The only problem is the price which is way too high for the amount of service you receive. It was advertised as 85 USD and you get charged 155 USD. That’s a total scam.Written July 11, 2023

- Mzgotitall E0 contributionsExcellent visitWent to Devon’s ice cream August 16, 2022 and really enjoyed the ice cream. We ordered 1 scoop but it was super big, 2 scoops would be too much. Lines were long but worth the wait.Written August 16, 2022
- celinecU519OP0 contributionsDunn’s FallWe suspect that the merchant transferred our business to individual driver as our driver is just a driver, not completely sure what was included in the package. The driver is friendly and even took us to a place for Jamaica food that he also got his lunch. Although it cost $5 for a few pieces of cooked bananas, we were just happy to see more of Jamaica. The price we paid felt consider high now that we know how much the tickets and the toll roads are ....Written January 2, 2020

- travellog450 contributionsSunday at Devon Houseonly 10 mins from the Marriott courtyard hotel by car. unfortunately everything seems to close on a Sunday which we weren't aware of but you can still have a look round but not the mansion as you have to pay for that. There are some little shops a pizza place and a restaurant there also, the ice cream is to die for especially the coconut ice cream, from the Marriott it cost about J$ 15:00 each way and they will return if you ask them too. they charge in J$, but if you ask them they will transfer it to US$ for you. Only gave 3 stars as I couldn't view a lot due to it being a Sunday & the pizzeria was closed which was a shameWritten June 20, 2018
