          Amazing
This was a great time. Arrival was at the decided time not “Island Time”. The drive showcased the mountains. At the head of the trail is where we began. The hike to Blue Ridge summit was physically difficult, but well rewarded with views of the island. Unfortunately from the summit a cloud had descended on us so we could not see the whole island, but a short ways down we were rewarded with a great view. Make sure to wear some type of sturdy tennis shoe or better, bring a couple snacks and water. Average time up is 3 hrs. I was able to finish it in 2:20min. Speed won’t get you to the rewards, determination will.

          Tropical Video Tours
My family and I took a trip to Jamaica in March 2017 and stayed in the Courtyard Marriott hotel in Kingston. We ended up using Tropical Video Tours for all four full days we stayed there. Each day we received transport from and back to our hotel, we had no need to drive. This was awesome because the driving in Jamaica can be extremely difficult if you aren't used to it, especially to a lot of these remote places. Our driver was Dwayne and he was a very experienced driver, we always felt safe. Day one we took the Blue Lagoon/Monkey Island tour. You start off taking a bamboo raft down the Rio Grande. It is beautiful, and you are rowed the whole time. On the way down you stop, are given a chance to swim, and cooked an authentic Jamaica meal (tasted amazing). Then you are taken to the Blue Lagoon and Monkey Island. Both locations were gorgeous. Just the kind of scenic white sand beaches that most people are looking for. It was also fun to swim, boat, and see all of the wildlife on the island. This is an all-day event. Bring your swimsuit, sunscreen, a hat, and a camera for pictures. Day two we took the Blue Mountain tour. On this tour you get a professional tour guide to hike the mountain, and at the base you get to see their coffee plants/farm and how the coffee is made. At the end you receive a Jamaican meal. This is a very long hike, at about 14 miles round-trip. It took my family about 4 hours. It was beautiful, and you get to see lots of rain forest. However, this is definitely not for small children, inexperienced hikers, or anyone who isn't in shape. Bring water, snacks, good shoes, and rain gear (you will be in the rain forest). Only bring a camera if you have something to put it in to keep dry. This trip will take the full day. Day Three we took the Dunn's River Falls tour. On this trip you get to hike the falls, and then visit the beach. The falls was so much fun. You get a guide which helps a lot. Water shoes are crucial, and are available for purchase at the site for a low price. No cameras unless waterproof. You will get completely soaked. The beach afterwards is beautiful. Afterwards we received a meal. After this we took a night tour to the Luminous Lagoon. This is a lagoon where when you swim the water glows around you. It was incredible, but runs late in the night. Day Four we took about a half day trip. First we went to Fort Charles in Port Royal. This is a tour of a used to be pirate city. Very educational, and good if you don't want something too active. Afterwards we went out for seafood, a got a fresh, wonderfully cooked meal. Then we went to the Devon House. It is a big mansion with lots of history to learn. There you can buy the best ice cream in Jamaica, fourth best in the world. All the trips were amazing. Each day we had our driver Dwayne and our tour guide Cheryl. Both were extremely knowledgeable and made our vacation amazing. They made everything run smoothly, even with all of the activities planned. By the end they felt like family. The only thing to keep in mind is that you can only pay with credit card beforehand, they don't take cards when you get there. If you don't pay before you will have to pay with cash or PayPal. We had some issues with this, but Cheryl handled it well, was very trustworthy and we got everything worked out. I would recommend this company to everyone! It was one of our best vacations yet. If you want to have fun, and want to see real Jamaican culture this is for you.

I took a trip to Jamaica in March 2017 and I stayed in Runaway Bay. Besides the resort I wanted to experience something in Jamaica that was "exclusive". After researching I decided I wanted to take a cultural tour of a Maroon village and that's where I first encountered Tropical Video Tours. The company picked me and my wife up at our resort and drove us the 2 1/2 ride to Mooretown, Once we arrived we were taken to a local village and given a tour of the area. The guides in the village as well as our guide from Tropical Video Tours were knowledgeable and pleasant. I would definitely recommend this tour and Tropical Video Tours specifically for anyone looking to experience Jamaica off the resort.

We did this as part of a combined Kingston Town & Country through AmStar, stopping at the Bob Marley Museum first. That's a different review. Also, we were in Secrets Montego Bay - the ride from here is about 3 hours each way so be ready for that. The Blue Mountain coffee tour was an experience getting there. Very narrow roads climbing to ~2700 feet above sea level or so. But there's more. You hike up the mountain to an overlook past growing coffee as well as banana and papaya trees. The views are incredible. However, it's a tough hike, and if you're not in shape this is not for you. It's about 1/4 to 1/2 mile and around 300-400 feet more in elevation. We got our exercise for the day! The most annoying part was that the guide took off with those who were in good shape and able to keep up. My wife had to take her time especially going back, and there were two ladies who were struggling ascending and descending. The guide could have slowed down a bit to ensure their safety. At the end, you hike back to the estate for information on how coffee originated and is grown there at Blue Mountain and have the opportunity to buy some. Finally, you head back into Kingston for lunch (we ate at Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records, really good food honestly).

We took part in the part bicycle tour to the blue mountain coffee spot in the mountains, and highly recommend folks check this out if you can! Bike riding was simple and chill, no experience needed. Coffee and food on tour was our favorite from the whole trip

This turned out to be one of my favorite traveling experience. Cheryl was amazing. The tour felt more of roadtrip with a friend. She was knowledgeable about jamaican history and culture. She was a very good and safe driver. She was thoughtful and stopped at a view point on the side of a road for me to take pictures. The tour itself was great as well. It was so much fun with cheryl, it felt the trip ended fast. Would recommend 100%.

Also, she was a great photographer!

First, none of what follows reflects on our guide - and intrepid driver - Cheryl, who was great. Plus, the scenery was absolutely magnificent, so no complaints at all there.
BUT this trip is massively overpriced and rather poorly executed in places. The 'coffee tasting' was being served one cup of coffee while a guide, clearly much more interested in his phone and his private business ventures, gabled through his script. We had to press for the 'complimentary lunch' at a roadside chicken shack, not realising that a stop at Jucci Patties at 11.00 a.m. was supposed be just that! Also, just a minor point, but the walk to the waterfall (which, to be honest, is rather underwhelming) does not require stout shoes, but proper walking boots. Overall, some marvellous moments with regards to scenery, but at the price we were charged and for what we got, something of a rip-off.

Going up into the mountains to see the coffee growing, and having a cup of the beautiful coffee and a slice of rum cake . The drive to into the hills was a really nice experience, the guides was patient and waited for us to get to the top if you feel it was too much you did not have to go to the top. But it was good to see and know all about the coffee and different coffee blend.

Junior was our tour guide and he was very informative. Very good. Some of my group wasn't going to walk and look at the berries but after listening to Junior, they went and had a great time.
Our driver was Cheryl and she was very good. Pleasant , informative and helpful.
