Addie is a lovely young lady with a genuine love for her hometown. The tour was perfect. We got to really experience a bit of the Grenada culture through the food. Our first stop was in the market for a typical Grenadian breakfast, then we got a little history at Ft. George. We also got to visit a chocolate museum, drink fresh fruits smoothies, and fresh coconut water. Our last stop was for a fantastic roti. Not like anything you have ever had. She really did a wonderful job. I highly recommend this tour!

Just loved this tour from start to finish. Started off with a traditional Granadan Sunday lunch in a little restaurant that I would have totally passed by as a tourist. The spices were so subtle in all of the dishes which Addie described in detail - we will try these at home. Other juices and flavours which we can only find in Grenada we made sure we enjoyed for the rest of our holiday. Plus the sightseeing of the beautiful capital of Grenada and of course the history. One of the things I think we will always talk about is when we knew we were getting a chicken roti which we were looking forward to but we couldn't manage a whole one were very relieved to have it shared between us (which was delicious). We had a vegan with us which Addie made sure was included at all times. Added to this - 2 teenagers who loved it. I think it was our favourite tour and opened up so much of the rest of the island.

We had SO much fun on this tour. Addie was an outstanding tour guide, walking us all over the city and giving us information on history, food, the market, and Grenada in general. This is a great way to see St. George’s, and a great way to experience local establishments and authentic food. If you like food and exploring a city on foot, this is a must-do. The actual food was delicious and we enjoyed every single stop. Fish, bakes, tea, fresh smoothies, fresh coconut at the market, spices at the market, roti, and a chocolate lesson and tasting— it was all fun and delicious. I’d highly recommend!

My husband and I signed up for this tour because we love getting to learn about a new place through cuisine and culture. Tomika St. Clair was our awesome tour guide! She emailed us in advance to let us know where and when to meet, and she wore a Savor the Spice T-shirt so we could easily recognize her. She was on time, professional, friendly and super enthusiastic. She's also a local who knew the in's and out's of the town. The tour itself consisted of visits to several local restaurants in St. George's, the farmers market, an art gallery and the House of Chocolate. The diversity of the stops and the cuisine offered (which included beverages) was great! My husband and I especially enjoyed the one-on-one tour at House of Chocolate and getting to learn how chocolate is made. Our favorite food stop was the smoothie shop near the farmers market - the soursop smoothie was amazing - and our favorite beverage was Maria's rum coffee at Paradise Glass. We cannot talk highly enough about Tomika, as not only did she lead an engaging and educational tour, she also helped us find papaya to bring back to our hotel and got us to Grand Anse beach via the bus! Come hungry as you'll have the opportunity to try multiple foods!

Thank you so much for your review. We are happy to have hosted you during your stay in Grenada. I must admit the sour sop smoothie is amazing. Glad you enjoyed Tomika, she is a great young lady. Cheers

This was a nice way to learn about the Grenada food scene in a short amount of time. Addie was our guide - she was kind and knowledgeable, and with such a small group (4) we had the time to ask any questions we had. The walk wasn't too difficult, just a little bit of climbing by the fort. We learned not only about food but also quite a bit about local culture and history. Grenada spice has a vividness of flavor that I will surely miss! Keep breakfast light and save your appetite.

Had very good guide 'Addie' but we got saddled with 5 travel agents/critics/reporters??? as part of the tour. Problem was that they really didn't care about the food tour part but were only interested in seeing more of the City to write about. The tour itself was good starting with breakfast then a coconut then a spice vendor then a roti restaurant and then a gelato type sampling and then a chocolate store with a commentary on how it is produced. In between Addie gave a significant amount of history info and we walked up to the Fort site to overlook the bay. Overall a vey good tour that you wouldn't know to do yourself but having this tribe of reporters talking on the phone or amongst themselves was tough on Addie and a major distraction for us. Would recommend to anyone and hope you don't get travel reporters as we did in the group.

We went quite spontaneously on the City walking tour (like just a few hours ahead). We had the nicest and most knowledgeable tour guide Nezra who took us to a few local restaurants where we got a good taste of the amazing local dishes of Grenada which included Oil down, fresh coconut (for us even with rum ;)), fruit smoothies, Roti chicken and chocolate cheesecake. We learned a lot about the history, spices and the way of life on Grenada and also got to see the Spice market, Fort George and the Chocolate museum. We were so happy with this tour that we also booked the cooking class a few days later which I highly recommend to anyone who wants to get a real inside on the local cuisine and learn how to prepare the most delicious dishes! Our tour guide Nezra went above and beyond for us to make the tours a unique and unforgettable experience! The ladies from Patrick's restaurant where we had the cooking class were so nice and patient and from the look at the menue and their skills I would also highly recommend going to their restaurant for dinner if you want to have real homemade Grenadian food!

Would highly recommend all of the tours of Savor the Spice! You get to know real Grenada and meet a lot of great people! If we come back we will definitely be going on the rest of the tours!

Our group of four arrived via steamship and found Addie (the absolute best tour guide ever!) easily. We ended up having her all to ourselves for this excursion and she was hands down the best tour guide you could imagine. The tasting tours were well done, gave us a chance to see the city, and to taste many different types of foods that I (a very picky eater) would never have tried otherwise! We would highly recommend the tour and if you can get sweet Addie as your guide, count yourself doubly blessed!
