        2 pm lunch
Forgot to tell you about lunch. It is at 2pm. It would have been useful to know that since our pick up time was 7 am. Hard to enjoy the day.

How is this tour highly rated?
**Sea Turtle Conservation Project**: My expectation was to either see a turtle or visit exhibits that discuss conservation. Reality was that we were brought inside, no time to read the exhibits, just listen to the tour guide and watch her apply coconut oil to her arms. **Canto De La Playa**: Expected to snokel with a guide. Reality was that the tour guide pointed to water from the beach and said "snorkle over there", BUT don't go too far, its dangerous. What's too far? Now I don't know what to do, and the tour guide has left to open a bottle of Coke. Four of us from the tour went into the water and saw maybe 6 fish.

        Highlight of our trip!
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Ingrid was our guide and she was extremely passionate and knowledgeable. She had such an outgoing and fun personality that really added to the trip. The crew of the boat was exceptional as well. TIPS: wear sandals with straps if you want to keep them on while on the boat otherwise you'll remove your shoes; bring extra water and snacks; if you need snorkel gear, ask for it at check in as its not on the boat; sit in the back if you don't want the thrill ride/bumpy experience; bring your own toilet paper (and remember not to toss it in the toilet or flush it where appropriate) and bring plenty of of cash money to buy from the island inhabitants and for tips (small bills are fine for lunch and maybe a bit more for the tour crew) The tips for the tour crew are not shared with the island lunch crew. Speaking of lunch, it was fantastic and one of the best meals we had while in the DR.

        Great time! Very well paced!
Another great trip with Seavis! This one takes a longer boat ride to the beautiful island of Saona. We had a nice guided tour of the small village, visited the sea turtle sancturay, snorkeled with star fish and more. Another very well paced adventure, balancing the active bits between nice leisure downtimes. Lots of doggos on the island to pet! We got massages on the beach, that's really all you need to know. Book now! Do it!

        Don't use Seavis Tours EVER!
This company and booking was terrible in the Dominican Republic. The company sent a confirmation but NO PICKUP time. All the tour companies use the same transport service so you don't have any idea who to call to get information. They only use Whatsapp to communicate. The company called at 0710 in the morning and said the driver was there. We were in bed. They would not wait and hung up. I called her back three times but she would not answer. She kept sending me whatsapp messages with the booking info stating that the website showed the pickup time. Who looks at the website after the tour is booked? NO ONE! This tour was for my birthday which they ruined! And apparently the customer is always wrong. She didn't even say she was sorry on the phone or in a message and never tried to help.

        Saona Islands January 2025
Just recently, (January 2025) spent an amazing day at Saona Islands. Booked with Seavis Tours. Definitely recommend them. Only a 10ish minute walk from the Hilton La Romana resort. Food and drinks were plentiful with a nice variety in a beautiful spot. We had Ingrid as our host and she was awesome! So many different little stops and so much knowledge about each place we visited. I cannot say enough about them from the gentleman helping us on and off the speedboat and just the kindness we received from all of the staff. Seavis rocks!!

Book Seavis, you will not be disappointed!!!
Booked with seavis after reading great reviews on facebook. Certainly didn't disappoint. Great, ongoing communication from booking to the day of tour. Ingrid was amazing. Great personality, informative, enthusiastic, funny, warm and approachable. I could go on. Fantastic tour. Visited multiple places. Had massage and photoshoot on the beach. strolled through a local village. Snorkeling on the beach. Purchased the most amazing honey, should have bought 4x the amount. Saw turtles in the sea. Swam with starfish. Had a tasty lunch. Soft drinks and rum were flowing.... repeat customers on board says it all. Just book with seavis 🥰

        Great Saona tour
Really good trip. Well organised, beautiful island and great food. Much preferred going to the other side of the island and having a quieter experience.

        Wonderful daytrip
I specifically chose a local tour operator for our outing to avoid the cruise sheeple and other large groups and I couldn't have found a better one than SeavisTours! We did not only see the incredible beaches of Saona Island but also visited the little village with the turtle conservatory, got time to snorkel in a lovely and quiet area with plenty of tropical fish and even stopped to see starfish on the way back. Our guide was fun, patient and very knowledgeable and everything was very well organized including transfer from/to our hotel in nearby Dominicus and communication ahead of the trip. If you are staying at a hotel in the Bayahibe area I can only recommend this operator!

        Great day!
This was an absolutely amazing day. Ingrid is an excellent host who made sure everything was great. We really enjoyed the intimate feel of a small group and exploring Saona Island at a relaxed pace. The fishing village and snorkeling with star fish was excellent and the lunch was delicious. Can’t wait to do this again next year! We have done many excursions over the years and this was the best yet! My family had an absolute blast!!!

        One of the best
The extra money for this exersion was worth it. You take a speed boat which is faster, and you are done and back by 5. It was not super busy, and we went before other people. I was able to get amazing photos. The guide was amazing and loved what she did. You stayed inappropriate amount of time at each place. It did not feel like it was dragged out or too long. It was the perfect amount of time. We honestly had so much fun and it was beautiful, and we loved it. I would highly recommend choosing this one above the others.

Fantastic and unforgettable trip with Seavis Tours
We did this Saona Crusoe VIP tour with Seavis in 2010, in 2014 and now- in 2025. Everytime the organization and the servise were perfect. Comfortable bus transfer from our hotel in Punta Cana to Bayahibe from where we went in the speed boat after a short check-in and briefing. We were happy to meet our tour guide from year 2014- Ingrid, who recognized us and gave us a warm hug with a smile! Our tour guide this year-Rosario and the captain of the speed boat were simply amazing! We learned so many new things about the places we visited. The sailing was smooth, but very fun too. They took us to breathtaking white sand beaches, we went snorkeling while we stayed on Canto de la Playa and we really enjoyed the beauty of the underwater world. In Mano Juan we visited the sea turtle hatchery. We saw baby turtles and we met Negro, who finds and rescues the eggs of the sea turtles and takes care for them until the small turtles are hatching. This conservation project is so virtuous and amazing! We also visited a One of the reasons why we book Saona trip trough Seavis tour everytime is that this company cares a lot about the nature and the people on the island. We found the Saona Island very changed, there is electicity and the locals have a better life now. We also visited the kindergarten there and we gave some presents to the kids, who were extremely happy :) We did some shopping in Mano Juan, the prices were better than those in Punta Cana. After visiting Mano Juan, we had a lunch at the most beautiful beach Catuano beach. We enjoyed the sun while laying on the sunbeds looking at the amazing scenery. We also did snorkeling there and we saw many colorful fishes. On our way back, we stopped in the Natural Pool to see the starfishes. We passed by the mangroves too. So much beauty and so many unforgettable moments just in one day! We were a group of 8 (family and friends) and all of us were excited to the max! Thank you, Seavis tour, you are the best of the best! With warm hugs and gratitude from "the Bulgarian family" and...Rosario, por favor, sigue con lo que estás haciendo, tu eres el mejor!

        Highly Recommended!
SeavisTours, and this excursion specifically, is amazing and highly recommended. You will experience places and aspects of Saona that the other tour groups don't offer. The boat is very fast, with associated bumps, but there is no motion sickness that you get from a slower catamaran (which rolls rather than bumps). The speed also allows more of the island to be explored. But what really makes the difference is the PEOPLE. They are wonderful!

It doesn’t get much better than this! We walked from the Hilton then started with a short taxi to the jungle. During a 1hr light hike (45min) where we learned about local landscape & plants, we made it to the cenotes (underwater river cave). The water was refreshing and the photographer got some great shots. The steps were a bit steep but not a problem for us or our 6yr old. After, we walked a bit more and stopped at a local stand for a cerveza and other refreshing drinks. Next we took a short taxi to get on a boat. It was set up with dining tables and had a restroom onboard, a nice surprise. We took a beautiful ride along the river before stopping where we had the best lunch, a homemade local feast. It was the best meal we had all week. Then we did some more exploring, tried fresh cacao, saw local fruits growing and had amazing hot chocolate. We finished with a little more trekking, a short climb to walk over a jungle bridge before setting off on our way back on the river. Finished with a beer in a local shop and walked back. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable!! Would highly recommend it for couples, friends or adventurous families with kids 4+.

Other info: Seavis Tour company was very responsive and well organized. Our main guide spoke English, French, Spanish and German and seamlessly flowed through the languages so all Gould understand. With only 13 people, it wasn't too big and was a great opportunity to get to know others on the approximately 8hr tour. They also had a private photographer that got some amazing pictures of our family throughout the trip!…totally worth the extra $50.

The excursion is well organized. You will be picked up from your hotel on time and then meet up with the other participants in the service center. Our first booking was postponed due to a lack of enough participants, everything went smoothly via WhatsApp, even now there were only 13 participants. First we went by minibus along adventurous routes into the national park. This is more of a shrub and cactus landscape with occasional trees. The aim of the hike is a grotto where you can swim in a freshwater lake. You have to be sure-footed, both on this part of the hike and on the descent to the cave. There is also no infrastructure, changing takes place in front of the cave, it would be nice if there was at least a bench here, that would make the whole thing easier. The way back to the minibus was a different, comfortable route. From there we were taken to the Chavon River, where a kind of motorized raft was waiting for us. Here you sat at tables that were already set for lunch. We sailed leisurely up the river to the Jungle Farm pier. Here lunch was brought to the boat, barbecue buffet, very tasty. There were plenty of drinks at all times. Then it was time for kayaking (you should already be able to do that a little bit, there is no instruction) and a tour of the "farm" (the only visible building was a toilet block), which ended with a steep climb and an easy-to-walk suspension bridge. Anyone who didn't want to be active stayed on the boat. We went back by boat and minibuses to Bayahibe, where the trip ended with a nightcap in a bar. It was a very nice trip that balanced activity and relaxation. Our guide Rodriguez was very personable and entertained us in a humorous and informative way.

An amazing experience and highly recommend. First part of the trip was a walk through the national park which includes a swim in a cave cenote which was beautiful. I didn't swim as I didn't want to walk around in wet clothing but still enjoyed the beauty of it. BEWARE: this is one of two steep climbs on this excursion so wear appropriate shoes and be cautious if you have knee problems or are out of shape. Hiking sandals worked great for me. Some people wore sneakers which were also find. The ones that wore flip flops were having a rough time.
Second part of the excursion is a lovely, relaxing ride on a barge to the lunch location that includes another wonderful tour. Lunch was fantastic--one of the best in the DR. Bring tip money for the cook and the servers as they are not paid and the tip for the boat crew is not shared with them. After lunch, people kayaked, most of us stayed on the boat and relaxed. It was hot for kayaking. Then there was a tour through the garden that included a sugar cane demo, cacao bean to powder demo--both with taste tests. From here there is a longer steep climb to a swinging bridge. A lot of fun but, again, if you are out of shape or have bad knees you will struggle with this part. Just opt to go back to the boat.
On the trip back the crew danced some local dances and showed the guests how to if you're interested.
Rosario was our guide and he was absolutely fantastic! His knowledge and experience was exceptional.
I would do this tour and the Saona Island tour again if we ever went back to the DR.
The one complaint for us was the transportation to and from Punta Cana--we were the furthest out and the vans were way too small for 8-9 adults for an hour + drive. The van broke down on the way back from our first trip to Saona Island and were on the side of a very dark, very busy highway with no way to really communicate with the driver. Probably waited about 25 minutes for someone to come get us.

Nice active excursion. For the hike it is really necessary that you are very good on your feet. We had hoped to spot some animals during the hike but unfortunately this was not the case. Also a pity that swimming in the cave was very dark very little daylight so the clear water is not visible.
Roderique has told a lot and with a lot of humor. We also got to know a lot of the locals and tasted the products that are grown in the country.

We booked two tours (Saona Crusoe VIP and Jungle Eco Tour) with SeavisTours in February 2024. We were really satisfied with the service and the tour. Our tour guide was Hector Rodriguez. He taught us a lot about the flora and fauna. If someone only has time for one tour during their vacation, we can definitely recommend the Jungle Eco Tour. Here you first walk through the jungle and are shown some Kalanchoe plants, which have a healing effect. The entertainment factor was always there thanks to the tour guide. One tour was bilingual (English and German), but this did not lead to any problems. We would like to thank you for the great time and look forward to seeing you again.

We enjoyed our Eco Saona Island tour so much we booked excursion too. We were a group of 7 ranging from 11-43 years and it was suitable for all of us but would not be good for children under 10 or anyone with mobility/health issues as it involves quite a bit if walking and steps into a cave to do swimming in.

The walk through the jungle was very pretty but hot so the best bit of that part of the trip was swimming in the cave. For this I would recommend beach shoes as it would be tricky in flip flops and painful with bare feet. The cave was absolutely stunning. The water was beautifully cool and you could even see bats flying above you. I could have spent all day there!

From there we went on a boat along the Chavón River. Well, when I say boat, it’s like a floating house/restaurant! You see loads of wildlife- especially birds- and it’s very relaxing. Once at the destination, we had a beautiful meal and then went off kayaking down the river. Once again the beach shoes will be useful as you can swim in the river but it’s very stony.

After kayaking it was time for a tour of the fruit farm. This was really interesting and Ingrid was full of good facts plus you to sample some of the things that are grown there.

Finally, was time to do the rope swing in the river and pretend to be Tarzan if you liked which was amazing.

The last part of the trip was a beer in Bayahibe and, for us, it was a short walk back along the beach to our hotel with photos taken by the professional photographer to remember our amazing day by.

Many thanks again to Ingrid and Phil (plus Laura in the office!) for treating us like VIPs!

What an amazing company, we did 2 tours, sanoa Island and the eco jungle tour. Can not say enough good things about them but we'll organised small groups and freindly knowledgeable tour guides, that have passion for there job it's not just for money. If you can book with seavis you won't regret it.

What a great time! The tour is perfectly paced between active elements and relaxing. It began with a short hike through the National Park to swim in one of the senotes (bring your mask and underwater flash light if you have one!) Followed by a slow boat ride down a picture perfect river (where they filmed Rambo) followed by a delicious lunch, and then an informative tour of the grounds with a cacoa demonstration. We then kayaked up the river to a shallow spot and hung out in the beautiful weather.
Our guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgable and made the excursion that much more enjoyable. I cannot recommend this highly enough! The entire crew at Seavis was INCREDIBLE.

We had an amazing, action-packed day with the Seavis team! Our guide was so knowledgeable and authentic, there were loads of different aspects and adventures, and for for folks and teens it is hard to imagine a cooler non-beach experience! Would not recommend for those with impaired mobility or young kids.

This was one of the highlights of my trip in the Dominican Republic. It surpassed all my expectations and was truly an amazing day. The communication from the first booking to the day was excellent. Swimming in the cave was incredible, the views from the river boat were unbelievable. Our guide Ingrid was great, she made sure everyone in the group felt included and that everyone was having a good time.
