We were picked up at Club Med Miches and the team was waiting for us with horses before the scheduled time. We had small kids in our group and they did a great job getting them situated. The horses were great and were easy to ride even for first timers. They even helped a rider gallop fast by assigning a separate guide. In all, this was a great experience with great views. The best part was the drinking coconut water after the ride. Highly recommended!

Unbelievable experience!! This is a truly unique opportunity in the Miches area. It is a couple hour horseback ride along a COMPLETELY deserted beach only to end up on a pristine piece of land on a similarly deserted beach. The hosts will cook you a fantastic Locrio (rice beans and chicken all mixed together), and cut down fresh coconuts to go with it. If you are looking for an off the beaten path experience, in a town that is on the verge of being discovered by the mainstream Dominican tourism industry, don't hesitate. In a few years, this ride will be totally different, as both a Club Med and Four Seasons resort (among others) are opening on Playa Esmeralda and the Miches beach. This is a shame, but speaks to how truly beautiful this ride is. When we were there, the only other visitors were the helicopters from Punta Cana which fly guests to this beach so they can experience the "isolated and incredible Playa Esmeralda". Don't hesitate any longer, just book the trip!!

My daughters and I had an amazing time in Miches with M&M. We opted to do the half day horseback ride on the beach. The horses were beautiful and healthy. The M&M team takes good care of them. They were also easy to ride and docile. Our guide Guille was very nice and helpful. He took really good care of us. I have traveled all over the Dominican Republic and I can honestly say this is a very unique and special excursion. The beach goes on for miles the water is beautiful aqua green. There are rivers that meet the ocean, there is a spot for snorkeling if you bring your equipment. This was an experience that I would treasure for a life time. When I looked out at the bay of surrounded by lush mountains I just wanted to wrap it up and take it home with me. This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Miches is close to Punta Cana but a world away from the all inclusive madness. If you want to see the true beauty of the Caribbean go to Miches and ride with Montando & Monteando.

It was my first-time horseback riding and although, I found it a little bit difficult getting use it. I love the experience. It was really hot though, so I recommend people to protect themselves from the sun, that was my mistake but arriving at Playa Esmeralda was beautiful and there were almost no people there.
