About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- V5193EPjoannem0 contributionsPerfect Half Day Cultural TourGreat tour to experience the Cathedral, Spice Farm, Lovely lunch and quiet beach. Transportation in an old open truck was very uncomfortable. The prices vary for this tour so do your homework. Air Transat was the most expensive at $127 Canadian or $85.00US....Viator has the same tour for $88Cdn.Written February 6, 2025
- David M0 contributionsparasailing an unforgettable experienceIt is an unforgettable experience, it feels like floating in the clouds and from there the best views of Punta Cana and of course with very good security.Written May 17, 2024

- abbyp6650 contributionsFun but Short ParasailWe felt very rushed. We were supposed to be in the air for 15 mins and I bet it was less than 10. The workers were kind of gruff. They had to shuffle passengers on and off the boat constantly. The transfer boat picks you up at the beach and brings you out to the parasail boat where you transfer. While in the air you do get to see how beautiful the water is. We even got a glimpse of some turtles.Written December 29, 2023
- hd16460 contributionsThis tour is terrible, and terribly unsafeI took the Catalina Island with snorkeling and lunch tour from Bahia Principe in La Romana. It totally sucked. For one thing, the tour operator assured me I would not need to climb into or out of any boats in the water. And yet, I had to do it twice! Putting my safety and life at risk. No ladders. No steps. Just climbing. And the small boat had a tank of gas attached by a plastic hose to the engine. Again, so unsafe. And the lunch on shore? It cost me $116 American dollars for a fried fish, shrimp, plantains, and 4 beers. $116 USD. These Dominican excursions absolutely suck. They are terrible. Unsafe, and no one cares!!!! The snorkeling was without fins in very rough water. And we only had about an hour on the beach that took 2 hours to get to. The whole experience was terrible. Worse than terrible.Written July 24, 2023
- Getaway592239877950 contributionsDescription Fraud! We didn’t go to Catalina Island. There was no snorkeling, not even the mention of it. There were no dance lessons, only dancing on the boat on the way back. The trip getting to the actual tour bus was very sketchy. It took two hours by bus and almost two hours by boat to get to the island that we did go to only to get a mediocre lunch at best to sit by a beach that was also very mediocre in beauty for an hour and a half. The tour guide spoke very little English, but he was a great guide. Overall, it was very disappointing and the description of the tour is very misleading!Written June 12, 2023

- BJsFamousCoffeeCakes0 contributionsUnconscionable wait times & poor communication = Awful tour! This experience could be improved by giving full disclosure of what the tour actually provides. * Communication with those who toured was totally absent. *Had we known that almost 3 hours of our tour time would be spent waiting & waiting & waiting at convenience stores & gas stations on our way to & from Santo Domingo while all the drivers from other tours met up to discuss who knows what???? we would have NEVER scheduled this tour!! *We were assured we would have an English speaking guide. Not True! *We were so eager to see the Christopher Columbus Lighthouse! Did not happen & no explanation! * We wanted to see authentic Dominican arts & crafts along the Calle El Conde. That was skipped too. Instead we were taken to a typical, mostly made in China souvenir shop that had nothing unique or authentic! *The stop at the Chocolate "Factory" & gift store was a positive. *Seeing the 3 Eyes Notional Park was lovely. *The Cathedral of the Americas was awe-inspiring! *I'm sure we "saw" some other significant historical places coming to & returning from Santo Domingo but our driver & guide offered very little explanation. When they did speak their English was very difficult to understand. *If we did not have the excessive wait times at convenience stores & gas stations we would have had the time to see all that we missed & even more in Santo Domingo! *I highly recommend that all visitors to the Dominican Republic visit Santo Domingo but please use a reputable tour company ! *All 12 touring people in our crowded mini-van were extremely upset by how poorly this tour was organized & operated! I would love to return someday and have a "real" tour!Written February 4, 2023
- Doug W0 contributionsKeep LookingMediocre at best. Here's what we experienced: So much time waiting for drivers to coordinate schedules (almost 3 hours while we sat in vans or roamed around convenience store parking lots while they enjoyed their beers) Poor English from our English speaking guide. It was very challenging to understand. Lack of communication during the tour (we learned as much by asking what we were looking at or driving by as what little was volunteered). Undue haste to keep us moving along once we arrived in Santo Domingo, created by all the time wasted while they got their collective act together before we left Punta Cana. The wasted time impacted what we were able to visit. Missed Christopher Columbus' lighthouse and Calle El Conde completely, both of which were high on our person interest list. We did appreciate visiting an organic chocolate factory/shop on the way in...but again, that, along with the lost time organizing everything on the Punta Cana beginning, had a negative impact on the overall time in Santo Domingo. This was the one tour we chose for our shorter vacation and found the overall quality of the tour very disappointing.Looking back, we wish we'd stayed that day at the resort.Written February 3, 2023
- dejdammii0 contributionsSanto DomingoFirst off the driver arrived 40mins late was scheduled to leave at 7am. Then we had to change bus twice so they can have a full bus for the tour, then the tour bus was late to pickup after the visit, so got back to the hotel at 09:45pm.. way too long…But lunch was A plusWritten September 10, 2022

- DenFei0 contributionsTour operator never picked us up - still awaiting promised refundReceived confirmation day before advising will receive pick up time & place later that evening. Nothing rec'd, started calling # on confirmation, leaving numerous vm's. Also sent texts, no ans. Waited outside hotel 2 hours & no one showed. Finally found a different # & got ahold of someone. Somehow they dropped the ball. Offered to reschedule, but we already booked another trip & were leaving the next day. After many back & forth, they agreed to issue a refund, however, amount they quoted is not for the full amount of what was paid. Tried additional times to discuss the discrepancy but unresponsive. This is unfortunate, because it looks like a great trip.Written December 27, 2021
- DJMoneyHeist0 contributionsNot as expectedWow! Where do I begin?! For weeks I had been looking forward to the experience based on what I perceived it to be like from the pictures. The day of the excursion, the excitement set in we went to the lobby early for the pickup. As we waited patiently 30 mins past the expected pickup time we began to see a buggy adventure truck arrive we quickly got excited to see how many people were doing the excursion. As we stood in line to get on the truck we quickly learned (this wasn’t our group). The group leaves and now we wonder, something is seriously wrong and we’re contemplating canceling. We reached out and then received notification that we would be picked up in 5 mins. As we waited in patiently another 30 mins a white van arrives with a very small tour sticker on the side. The tires were covered in dirt which lead me to believe this van was for us. The gentleman comes over and asks our name and as we follow him to van, red flag number 2 sets in. We get in the van which it looked as if it doubles as his work van, the gentleman proceeds to hands us a phone. On the phone was “his friend” that proceeded to tell us the driver was at the wrong resort for almost an hour. Note: the hotel that we were told he was at we could walk to so if in fact he was there, it wouldn’t have taken 30 mins to get to us. As we rode past other resorts we start wondering if we were the only guest on the tour. After seeing such a large group get on the bus 40 mins beforehand it just didn’t make sense. The second we proceeded to ask we noticed a large group of buggies going into a lot and we instantly felt relieved but then we quickly drove past where they were only to turn down the roughest dirt road I had ever been on. Now we red flag number 3 comes and we ask the driver if we were the only guest and he proceeded to tell us yes in fact we were. While driving down the road I contemplated saying just stop and take us back. Unfortunately the moment that I thought that we turned into what appeared to be someone’s driveway to their home. We were greeted by a gentleman with a big smile as he opened the van door. He then walks us over to the “seating area” to provide us with a quick history lesson about some of the herbs and spices native to DR and the process of how things were made. Unfortunately for him I wasn’t interested in anything he had to say because I felt uncomfortable. He proceeded to offer drinks but we respectfully passed. Due to feeling on edge we tuned most of the discussion out. We were also told the home was in fact a residence, his grandmothers home and part of the excursion we would get a tour of the home. I proceed to hurry along all conversation as best and respectfully as possible. We were greeted by a young man who was a tour guide. He was honestly the one that made me feel a little more at ease. We proceed to the buggy which appeared to have been built by someone living there, the seatbelt didn’t work and the buggy was started by Hot-wiring it. Fast forward to driving, as we drove through the road it was increasingly hard to turn, drive straight, and at times stop the buggy. At slow speeds the buggy would sputter, the wheel would shake and it would ultimately just feel downright unsafe. There was a camera man that road with our guide, he proceeded to take pics when surrounded by other tour groups to give the impression we were having fun with our group. We went to the places as promised so if still interested you will get there. Just likely in a buggy that you least expect. As I end this here, the experience wasn’t what I expected. It’s evident they are trying to build their company and they’re looking to compete with the much bigger companies but it’s important that those of us who do experience it provide an understanding of what people will receive when arriving. I do hope they become a large company but I hope they make it without people feeling deceived.Written July 20, 2021
