About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Gen_solotraveler0 contributionsGreat for the entire family! This was such a fun excursion! It is kid-friendly too! Went with my friend and our two children under 12 years old. The staff were friendly and spoke English. They were very knowledgeable of the area and the Buggies.Written July 13, 2024
- 321andyf0 contributionsGreat mudding !We have been on this type of adventure with other companies as a couple which were enjoyable but this one with our daughter and granddaughter was the best buggying hands down. This one had some great mud puddles where you actually got dirty I mean dirty lol. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly and the gentleman running the operation was very patient and took the time to answer any questions you have. The cave tour can be difficult if you have ,mobility issues but the cave itself was interesting. The only thing missing was the beach visit which would add to both the experience and the cost. Overall great adventure.Written February 8, 2024
- joleneb8290 contributionsFalse advertising leaves poor taste in our mouth! We booked for 4 people and to our surprise, had to pay an extra $50 US when we arrived on site to have two biggies. This is false advertising as there was nothing about any of this when we booked. The photos were incredibly expensive and not worth it.Written December 3, 2023

- 414bradg0 contributionsFlinstone Buggy must doThis tour is a must do. Great Value for the money. No major issues on the tour unless you are allergic to mud. The coffee stop was much appreciated, and likely the smoothest full bodied cup of Joe I've ever had. Thank the home owner on our behalf she had disappeared before we left or I most certainly would have done that myself. The only thing I have to say negative is the communication was a little slow. Didn't know we were to be picked up at the road of our hotel and delayed the other patrons on that bus by a bit. The photos taken on the tour by flintstone's were awful expensive. Had they been half that I believe someone including myself would have bought them.Written November 27, 2023
- Narayanpr0 contributionsNice drive through the countrysideWe did the dune buggy tour in April, 2023. It was a Nice experience since it was just the two of us that morning. Beautiful drive through the Dominican countryside, a quick stop at a local home for coffee, followed by a visit to the caves to watch the beautiful formation of stalactites & stalagmites. The guide was rushed and he wanted to finish the tour soon. However, we slowed down to enjoy the caves. The buggy of the tour guide broke down and that allowed us to enjoy nature in front of the caves for a tad more time.Written June 8, 2023
- mariepsm10 contributionsLoved itIt was fun, safety is a priority, pickup and adventure was on time, private road, glasses and face cover are needed (required to enjoy the trip) if you don’t bring one, you can buy them in the shop. Loved the pictures.Written June 6, 2023
- 910codyv0 contributionsWell worth it!!Great run, amazing cave !! Seriously one of my favorite excursions we took on our honeymoon ! I definitely will be back to ride the bigger buggies !Written April 25, 2023
- beckysQ690UG0 contributionsA good way to get away from the resort and see more of the areaWe appreciated getting off the beaten path and out into the country - come knowing you are going to get very dusty and it is a rough road (that's what makes this an adventure). Pick up and drop off at our resort were nice. The cave hike was challenging at times but the group took time to look at things and explain about the cave. Fresh coffee was so good at our stopWritten March 15, 2023
- kardibk0 contributionsbuggy disappointingPurchasing was extremely easy for my large group of seven buggy's. You can just Paypal the 30% deposit and you're all set to go. Then basic information is provided to you. Resort pick up was nice, but communication regarding the exact pick-up location lacked clarity despite several requests leading up to the event. Once you arrive at their location, you get a brief overview of the rules, some time to purchase glasses/face coverings and provided a helmet. Then you are asked to self-organize to your buggy. Some assistance would have been appreciated here to fairly distribute them as tall people were in short driver seats, and short drivers were in tall people seats. The worst part about the experience was the gaslighting. The guide doesn't believe you when you have issues with the buggy and puts the blame on the drivers. The guide kept insinuating we were scared and wasn't driving fast enough even though we were slamming the gas pedal. One buggy had brake issues and he simply told us we weren't pressing hard enough, until they actually tried it out and watched it continue rolling. There are also major concerns regarding safety with the buggy. Three of our buggy had major engine issues and which required the switch to the newer version buggy in the middle of the tour. (Not sure why we weren't all provided this to begin with.) One of our buggy actually fell apart into 2 pieces during the ride. There were 2 buggy with wheels that aren't aligned properly. And ALL of our buggy cut off mid-driving. There isn't enough crew to assist when something is wrong; you are just left in the dust by yourself and the drivers behind you with no assistance and just an annoyed tour guide that you aren't driving fast enough. I had to fiddle with the starter on my own because the guide literally just leaves you in the dust. Tips if you are still interested in going Bring your biggest pair of sunglasses or lab goggles because the dust will get in your eye. A hat/hood to protect your hair/ear/neck/head from the smoke screen dust.Written March 14, 2023
- chellyo20230 contributionsPros/consPros/cons to doing this activity in Punta Cana: You can get picked up at your resort which is included in the price however the road that you take which leads you to the actual jungle buggies camp is the bumpiest uncomfortable ride because the road is Rocky and full of pot holes. Now while they have brand new buggies you are not allowed to use them yet because they are putting the engines in them and getting them ready soon. Meanwhile you use the old buggies that they get flooded when you go in the water and they do not run full speed because they are old and not working properly and break down alot during the activity. Mine broke down 4 times which defeats the purpose of the experience! The cave is beautiful but a bit dangerous if it rains so be very careful. The guys that are running the activity are very kind. The best part is when you stop and try fresh dominican coffee. The lady of the house makes it for you and it truly is amazing!! The worst part is that the photographer takes amazing photos of you, he then shows you in the hut your amazing photos but is unable to send them to you immediately upon purchase. They ask you to pay expensive photos and say then will email them to you at a later date. Then the photos are never emailed!! They should be able to give you a USB or at the very least a link to view your photos.Written March 11, 2023
- LilaLangelina0 contributionsMy great buggy adventure!Actually Flintstone buggy good and fun adventure was amazing and a nice experience for us. Pick up time was on time. We went on the buggy trip and then stopped close to the small store for cup of coffee. The cave tour was also included! The staff were friendly. Everything it was a great excursion! It's real five +++++ stars. Thanks for a great experience. Highly recommend this excursion!Written February 22, 2023
- cliffy940 contributionsHad fun and okayFun but VERY dirty and dusty. The machines are garbage and need work. We broke down three times. Guide was good and location was cool and had fun. Cave was also very cool. Snacks and drinks would be great! Had fun but not probably a 6 or 7 out of ten.Written February 22, 2023
- 873aronm0 contributionsFun TimesGreat time on the trail and in the cave. Tour guide was great, local people were very nice. Be prepared to get extremely dirty though, there are showers onsite. Please don’t forget to tip when in DR, the big companies are the ones making all the money while the people who serve you live around the poverty line. Just my own opinion.Written January 20, 2023
- jaileneu0 contributionsGreat excursion!Such a fun ride! Tour was guided and you have someone taking cute pictures of you as well. I really liked the kind townspeople who made us coffee 😁 Bring sunglasses/eyewear and bandanas as they are required but they sell these items for a decent price. Picture package was a little pricey so we chose the individual option instead. I went during the afternoon and it was just my partner and I so it was a more personal experience.Written January 15, 2023

It is not an understatement to say the buggies were held together by glue and tape. The buggies were of disgusting and unsafe conditions. They appeared to have never been cleaned and the seatbelts do not exist. The tour is unsafe and not fun at all - any positive reviewers are clearly farmed. You are asked to drive through impoverished neighborhoods slowly and single file for about 2 hours, and the leader of the group makes sure to make stops long enough so that the children of the neighborhoods can ask each couple for money. The buggies break down constantly and are left in the road for you to crash into and get stuck behind. To top it off, the roads you drive through are extremely muddy and covered in horse and donkey feces such that you are fully covered in not just mud but also animal feces by the time the tour is complete. It is disgusting. Do not pay for this tour.

Dear Amanda, please check well your tiket where you buy your excursión, for sure. It was not our excursión, our excursión is very especial we have small groups and our employees are gentle an very educated, concening our Buggys are in a very excelnt condition, and besides we have one of the latest Honda Buggys Generation.
It was definitiv not our excursión because we are not stopping every where we are not an comercial excursión. And in our stop theres not children asking money it is not our style, we do help the children in a smart way .
Pls. Confirm your booking, and let Tripadvisor know the real name of the excursión that you did because when the people read yours comets know that we are not this excursion but is not beautiful. See that in our page.
Thanks a lot and you are invited to come and taste our excursión.

Very arrogant and rude people, we had very bad experience. You driving VERY SLOW 10min than stop 20min for spending money, driving 5min stop 20min for spending more money, driving 15min you going to ugly cave then 5mib driving back to place you started. In my opinion that was wasting money and time. Never again.

The reason we gave this place a 2, is for several reasons:
1. There was a lot of waiting around, so the organization was lacking.
2. The 3 stops in the tour felt like they were just designed to sell you things (the beach stop was incredibly overwhelming). Workers on the beach constantly approaching, putting jewelry in the kids and animals on their heads, aggressively taking your phone to take pictures and then pressuring you into giving them $$.
3. This is not a complaint, because it’s the country, but just a notification that there were a lot of women and babies and young children soliciting $$, so be prepared and prep your children for this.

Fun times with the family, it rained the day before so we got super muddy but all part of the tour. The cave is beautiful, just wear shoes with a good grip. My only negative thing was we were the last cart and after going through a large water hole we stalled and the engine never started back up. No one stopped or even looked back and There was no cart behind us so it took over twenty minutes for anyone to come back and find us . Other than that it was fun. I would suggest they have a mechanic or safety person be the last buggy in case anyone else breaks down.

Cancelled as requested when someone got sick. Just wanted to rebook. Canceled on time and wanted to rebook. Then blamed Airbnb who had nothing to do with it. Basically just took our money. Avoid people like this. Never a good sign.

We had a wonderful time on this excursion. Ronald as the tour guide and Alex as the photographer are the absolute best. They were both very personable but professional. Ronald was very knowledgeable about the countryside as well as the history of Punta Cana, the Taino Indians and the caves. It was an engaging and fun family adventure. I highly recommend this tour and it is so affordable.

Totally enjoyed the trip! The highlight is the cafe stop along the way. The mud puddles are super fun! The cave is amazing just in itself, the flints tones part is an added hilarious fun entertaining bonus.
The hosts are super cool fun and great guides. Drivers it’s a simple setup for the normal buggy not challenging at all. Gas brake. The side gear is a bar that has Drive Reverse(which you don’t really need) and Park. Very simple! Family enjoyed it smiles all around. Yabba Dabba Doo!
Bring sun glasses and mask or buy a bandana at gift shop (lots of dust). So much fun in the Dominican Sun!

This was a fun tour. We were picked up on time. If it had been raining, it would have been muddy. If not (in our case), it was dusty. Rode about 10 minutes to a little village/ local farm house. There, we sampled coffee and walked around a typical Dominican family house. Then, we rode about 10 minutes more to a pretty cave. The buggies were fun but several people's broke down. Was a cheap tour and would go again.

Everything is as advertised in Tripadvisor and their website. Check their videos on Youtube. It was an excellent ride with the family with teenagers. Rough terrain and nice scenery including a stop at the traditional Dominican family house for a short break and have a good coffee. The last stop at the cave was nice with the Flinstone featuring. Ivan the manager and his staff are awesome and friendly. Very humble people. Definitely, I will recommend this adventure. Be ready to get muddy and don't forget your sunglasses and bandana.

The excursion itself was relatively fun, except for the occasional big bumps in the road while going at least 50 mph. Anyways, the bad rating comes from the transportation. We were picked up a few minutes early at around 8a.m. which I thought would infer a good trip, but it turns out we picked up others from two other resorts and it took two hours to get to the location. After the excursion, the driver was 45 minutes late and the employees were obviously embarrassed and practically had nothing to say, they offered up free pictures at least; however, the driver actually wasted an extra 45 minutes later going to a resort that no one on the bus belonged to. Thanks for wasting even more time of my vacation!

Each buggy is equipped with seat belts, however it is quite a rough bumpy ride in which you are jostled all around. I, personally would not recommend for any child under 8/9 years old. Hope this helped!
