About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- W7475SMthomasf0 contributionsExcellent tour of Botanical GardenS, T Falls and more!We loved this tour with guide Tiffany in early March. She was personable and very knowledgeable about Dominica. We loved the hike up to see Trafalgar Falls (lots of steps but worth it), the Botanical Gardens and more. Easy to find the tour off the cruise ship, right across from the port. I highly recommend this tour of Dominica!Written March 21, 2025
- J7229WRdawnc0 contributionsSaw a pod of sperm whalesWe went on the whale watching tour. I was skeptical that we would find the whales, but our guide would listen on the hydrophone to find out which direction they were in. Finally our patience paid off and we saw a pod of 6 sperm whales. Breathtaking!Written March 19, 2025
- DayTrip8226480 contributionsA great day and a fun experienceMy wife and I had an amazing day out on the water and we were able to see several sperm whales (some fairly close). Our guide Mr Beans explained the whales' habits and other information about these majestic beings. His intuition on their movements made it possible to see a good number of whales, one even swam under the boat as we were drifting.Written March 18, 2025
- Camper6593280 contributionsA wonderful adventure. Our captain was Mr. Beanz and he was awesome. He was very knowledgable and explained everything to us. If we had any questions he took the time to answer them. It was a very enjoyable trip.Seeing the dolphins, whales and their babies was a true treat.I could watch them all day. I added a tip into the website when I signed up for the tour. I hope that he received it. I wish everyone had people like Mr. Beanz as part of the staff. Thank you for an amazing memory.Written March 17, 2025
- peterbV7427QO0 contributionsEnjoyed DominicaVery much enjoyed Dominica, not to be confused with the Dominican Republic which I disliked a lot. We walked through the city to the botanical gardens which was more like a park but nice, we walked up Jacks trail to the top, a steady uphill walk through the trees to a great vantage point, not for the less able we came down by road which was interesting meet some lovely friendly people.Written March 16, 2025
- lauradX8774OM0 contributionsAmazing Experience - will not disappoint!Captain Beanz was the best! We totally enjoyed his personality and knowledge of whales! The views of the whales were close and amazing....we saw plenty! Best experience......we would do it all over again. Thank you Captain Beanz!Written March 16, 2025
- rossfurbush0 contributionsSaw a Whale; Could be More EducationalWe saw a Sperm whale which was fun, but overall we were unimpressed with the guide. The experience wasn’t very educational. He also spent a lot of time blaming the other boats and explaining how our experience was not as good as usual. This left us with disappointment instead of excitement for seeing the whale.Written March 14, 2025

- cynthiavG5361GZ0 contributionsWonderful afternoon on the waterOur cruise ship was late getting into port but Tiffany at Waitukbuli Tours kept in touch with me and we were able to take the tour with no problems. We saw dolphins but unfortunately no whales which is the expectation that everyone should have when doing something like this. It’s a big ocean and we don’t control it. The weather was er time speeding across the water, and enjoyed the tour of the island as we headed back to the ship. And the rum punch, made by Tiffany, was superb!Written March 10, 2025
- 282laurynf0 contributionsAll the stars ⭐️Amazing crew. Fantastic day on the water. We did not get to see the whales but we did see tons of dolphins and they were awesome! Our group was cared for and entertained the whole day. We would absolutely book again anytime we are in Dominica.Written March 9, 2025

- ITALIANIRISHGIRL0 contributionsWhale watching in DominicaOur trip was excellent!. We saw lots of whales and dolphins thru out our entire cruise. captain beans was very knowledgeable and eager to answer all of our questions about the Dominica sperm whales. He is very proud and passionate about these magnificent creatures and made sure all of the passengers could enjoy seeing them too. This was a fun and life affirming nature cruise. I thoroughly recommend it.Written March 8, 2025

We spent the day visiting some of the most interesting sites on Dominica with the best enthusiastic leaders we’ve encountered in many years. Mio, Adin (spelling is off no doubt) and our wonderful driver who turned our van into part mountain goat went out of their way to insure we all had an adventurous day as well as some tasty local fare to keep up our energy. We picked the chicken roti for lunch.
The guys helped tow slow or tired swimmers at Champaign beach and made sure we all got to the waterfall viewpoint inTitou’s gorge. Some of us (me) bobbing in our buoyancy devices couldn’t counteract the force of the water pushing us in the opposite direction as our goal. NO PROBLEM! Once forward progress stopped Mio and Adin handed us off between them for those last 20 feet to the waterfall.
The day was well paced with a stop at the Botanical garden after the beach outing and a good place to enjoy our lunch. The walk to the beautiful Tafalger Falls after the Titou’s Gorge stop was an easy 10 minute walk and we are in our late 70s and early 80s.
Our weary bodies were thankful to soak in the hot springs and sip a rum punch before returning to our ship.
And I can’t end without mentioning our van load of strangers belting out the chorus of a local songs played by Mio over his microphone. It was a van full of joy! YES BABY!
Can’t wait to return to Dominica!

We arrived in Dominica by cruiseship and our guides were waiting for us across the street from the pier. After a quick check-in we were walked to our small bus for our group tour. Our tour included a snorkeling stop, botanical gardens, Trafalgar falls, Titou gorge and the hot springs. We had 3 wonderful guides. Our driver did a great job giving us information on the island, playing local music and encouraging a sing along. We had lunch in the bus after the botanical gardens on our way to the next attraction. I wish we could have eaten at one of our stops instead of balancing it on our laps. If I return I would skip the botanical gardens. This tour was a wonderful way to see as much of the island in a short visit. we had a fantastic day and I felt we had enough time at each stop and didn't feel rushed. Titou gorge was my favorite stop. It was beautiful! The hot springs were a relaxing way to end the day. I highly recommend this tour but want to mention that if you have mobility issues it can be challenging. Several of the stops have a lot of steps. some with no railings and slippery uneven ground. But the guides did a great job assisting me. Always offering a hand and keeping me safe. Limited bathroom facilities. I recommend bringing some tissue. I look forward to another visit to Dominica and will definitely book another tour with Waitukubuli.

We docked with the Costa in Dominica on January 21st and booked this excursion for that day through GetYourGuide. Near the harbour we were warmly welcomed by our guide's partner, Adin.
We were even lucky enough that my wife and I were the only participants and so it was a "private tour" for us.
First we went to the champagne reef. Adin swam with us to the spot and showed us the unique spectacle of bubbles rising from the seabed. He even "trapped" her in a tube and let her walk over her hand. Very warm water. He also drew our attention to fish.
We went on to the Botanic Garden, where he explained the diversity of plants.
The falls were also sensational. Adin swam there with us over a kind of cave system to the vortices, always gave assistance and took photos of us.
The hot springs and Titou Gorge were just as impressive.
Our guide Adin was just great, he told us so much interesting and interesting about Dominica, spoiled us with delicious food during the trip, was always concerned about our well-being and safety!
On the way back he played music in the car and we sang together.
It was a fantastic, beautiful day and was one of the most beautiful of our cruise!
We can only recommend this trip to anyone!
Thank you very much Adin and all the best for you!!!

We had a great time one of the best shore excursions I have ever taken. They met us at the cruise ship dock with the bus. The bus was nice and air conditioned. Our guides were a team of three employees. All were great and very knowledgeable about the history of the island, government and wildlife.
Lewis was a great guide and kept us informed throughout the day. Our first stop was the champagne reef which was very interesting and unique. It was a lot of swimming and not for someone who is not a fairly strong swimmer. Getting in and out of the water was a challenge as the beach is very rocky. The guides did a great job helping some people who were struggling.
Next was the botanical gardens for a quick stop and guided hike thru the gardens. Lewis did a great job explaining the different plants and trees.
We picked up lunch on the way to Tutu Gorge and ate our sandwich’s and fries as we drove. Tutu gorge was great a short 15 minute swim to the falls. The
cool water felt wonderful. Everyone was wearing swim vests that were required. A good safety measure for everyone.
After Tutu Gorge we drove to the trailhead for Trafalgar falls. We hiked about 1 miles to the falls. Everyone got a photo then back to the bus. Saw a freshwater crab on the trail, that was very cool.
Our last stop was the hot springs. The hot springs felt wonderful after all the hiking and swimming. Then back
To the ship. Well worth the money for this
Tour.

The best. In a van of 7 guests and 3 knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides we travelled to the sites mentioned in their promotional piece. The snorkeling was excellent and safe. The Titou Gorge experience a bit like swimming in a slot canyon like Antelope Canyon in Arizona, and the hot springs added a nice end to a long day filled with more information about this rather amazing island of natural beauty than one can possibly imagine. My hope is that as development pressures mount, they can be resisted by these good people.

We were supposed to do the volcano snorkeling but it was canceled. The tour company offered us this one instead. It was fabulous. Hubert was the best. He took us snorkeling first at champagne beach, then went in the gorge, up to the twin waterfalls, into the hot springs and even stopped at a roadside fruit stand for tastings. Hubert's knowledge and love of nature and the island shined the whole time. This tour company is definitely an excellent choice.

Fantastic day! They were excellent at accommodating timing for our cruise ship schedule as well as providing food options for our dietary issues. The island was gorgeous, the company was very organized and the guide and driver were a lot of fun (mio and Cornell) we had such a great time we will surely come back to dominica both by ship and a land stay. When we do we will absolutely use Waitukubuli tours! They made our day memorable!

Our guide was Hubert and he made sure we had an enjoyable and safe day. He drove the bus considerately and told interesting things about nature and Dominica. The snorkel trip out to the champagne bubbles was in a good setting with life jackets and flippers. We felt safe with Hubert and the snorkeling.
Hubert was also a super guide on our swim into the gorge and in the hot baths.
We are very happy to recommend the company and Hubert in particular.

This was easily my favorite tour I've taken in the Caribbean.
We were met on time and exactly where described by Cornell. We were transported around as part of a group of 8 in a comfortable van for the day.
We stopped at Champagne Reef where we were provided masks, snorkels, fins, and flotation vests as part of the tour.
We then proceeded to the botanical gardens on the way to Titou Gorge for a "refreshing" swim to see the waterfall and generally experience the gorge. On the way to Titou Gorge we were provided lunch, drinks and snacks.
The next stop was Trafalgar falls, which were amazing. And immediately followed up with a visit to the hot springs and provided with rum punch.
Cornell was excellent and very informative with a running commentary about all things Dominica as we drove around. He was constantly aware of what time we needed to be back at port and adjusted timing at various stops accordingly to ensure we didn't become pier runners.
I would happily do this tour again in a future visit to Dominica.

Tiffany, the driver, was a pro and drove very expertly through the roads and traffic. She was thoughtful and knowledgeable about the island and her English is excellent. Miandro, our guide, is super knowledgeable about all the plants and other information presented along the way. The Titou Gorge was the highlight of our trip, it’s such an amazing natural feature, it’s short but well worth it. This is a great outfit, you won’t be disappointed.

I see departure is listed as 9am. Is it always and only 9am? Curious, as our cruise ship does not arrive to Dominica until 10am.
