If you wanna have a whale of a time, go diving with the family-owned business 'Duikcentrum van de Ven'. This business has collective diving experience of over 70 years and 15,000 dives on the island! Hospitality is key! They cater for small groups of no more than 4 participants diving with one dive guide/instructor, also private guidance and instructors are available. They do not operate a schedule, thus book in advance to be sure that you do not miss the best diving experience available on the island. I have been diving with them for the past 7 years and made over 260 dives with them on Curacao. I further improved my skills from open water to divemaster, as I said there is no better center you can go to. That also applies for equipment rental and tanks if you like to explore the island with your buddy(ies).

Unfortunately we didn't do any scuba diving because my wife has pressure issues with her ears. We were staying at a local resort and stopped by to rent some snorkeling gear at a reasonable price. This dive shop is family owned and they were all very helpful and very friendly. If you're looking to dive/snorkel in the area you should definitely check them out!

It was already 20 years ago that I had last gone diving, and I wanted to do an introductory dive again. We were calmly and thoroughly briefed and assisted by Monique. Then, from the beach at Tugboat Beach, we made a dive that lasted about an hour, during which we were well-guided, and great attention was paid to us. We saw beautiful things underwater, and I wouldn't have wanted to miss it. Excellent dive school, they really take the time for you!

We came as a couple - one to get Open Water Certification and the other to have a couple of recreational dives just for pleasure. We were very happy with the experience. My spouse had already completed confined water skills beforehand. She had 4 dives over 2 days with Angelique, who provided a very supportive environment for skills training. She obtained her certification, and had a wonderful experience. At the same time, Gerard took me on 3 recreational dives. These were my first since receiving my open water certification a month ago. He took me to some beautiful locations and helped reinforce the skills I had only recently learned. He is fantastic diver. Calm and relaxed. And he gave me tips to improve and to extend my dive time substantially. With Gerard’s advice, I almost doubled my dive time over the 3 dives. I can’t recommend this dive center highly enough. I got diving lessons from Gerard, and I really enjoyed it! All explanations were very clear, and I felt safe and comfortable at every moment. We did 4 dives split over two days, at 3 different locations, and got to see a lot of fish and even turtles. Thanks for the fun and educational lessons!

We did a 2 tank discover scuba dive. My wife and I were previous divers, but we had family with us that were new divers. Everything was clearly explained. In the water, we had a nervous diver and she was made comfortable and was able to do the dives without stress. I'd recommend doing a 2 tank dive. The price was great compared to other dive shops.

We did a two tank intro to scuba and it was terrific. Monique was great at explaining everything. She was very patient with us and excellent at helping one of our party who was quite nervous at the start.

It was just myself and my boyfriend with Monique. Our first time ever diving and she was amazing. We were lucky to get that one on one experience. I got really scared and she was extremely nice and patient with me. Beginner friendly, would 100% recommend and do again!

My 11 year old daughter and myself went on our first diving trip ever and the experience with Van De Ven was excellent! They always dive in small groups of 4 but in our case we had 2 instructors to look out for us. Short to say we had an amazing first dive. Duikcentrum Van De Ven is an easy recommendation to anyone looking for a dive on Curaçao!

The staff are very accommodating and super helpful. The dive site had beautiful water with colorful fish and coral. Would highly recommend.

The diving was a great experience for divers who have never dove before. The water was crystal clear and the reefs were as colorful as Iv ever seen. The instructors were great and extremely helpful with any questions or concerns we had.

Wonderful dive experience here! My husband, two teenage sons and I dived twice with Johan and Monique and we were very impressed. Thorough, professional and very welcoming. Great equipment as well. It was the first time diving for our sons and they were both very comfortable during the dives, thanks to both instructors. They loved the experience. We will certainly dive with them again on our next trip to Curaçao.

Very nice and professional Scuba-diving school with a family feeling what gives you directly a warm welcome. Dived with Gerard and student for refresh dive; clear and good explanation. Personal approach! that is very nice to be comfortable (not scuba-dived since 2009, refresh dive was done in a very nice environment; Also equipment was modern and in good shape! It went well and decided to dive again! a view days later; now with Monique (mother), also very good and relaxed atmosphere. I recommend to dive with van de Ven. because explanation clear and places too dive are well known (nice quit places with lot's of fish, turtles etc.!!)
