Top Notch Tour!!
Gian Carlo was very well versed on the island’s highlights and provided an exceptional tour discussing each point along with knowledge of the people and history of Bonaire. He was able to answer all of our questions. The bus was very comfortable and with excellent air conditioning. The driver allowed plenty time at each stop. I highly recommend this tour and as a cruise plus tip, we saved almost $200 on a family of four from what the on board cruise excursion was charging. The tour operator is just outside the port gate so no need to walk far at all.

Pleasant surprise
We went to Bonaire as a short port of call from a cruise ship. We had no plans. We were politely greeted by a lady from this company who, offered us a tour for 1 1/2 hours in an air conditioned bus. We took it and were very glad. Our guide was Gian Carlo who was terrific. We were able to see the salt processing, slave houses, flamingoes and more flamingoes, a lighthouse and some of the city. The bus was comfortable. We actually toured for almost two hours and returned to the port with time for shopping and some sightseeing on foot.

Some good, mostly so-so
Jan 2019
We booked this thru Viator, and getting to them was fairly easy. We were surprised by a "welcome" gift of a couple of mini bottles of cactus liquore, and a small bag of Bonaire salt. They were expecting us, and it was a nice feeling. From there, it started to go downhill. First, the pictures show a nice big yellow bus, but we ended up in a small 7 passenger minivan. Yes, I realize the bus was WAY too big, but the minivan had A/C, and it was working it's heart out just to keep the van warm. Add to that, the driver spoke softly, with very poor English, and stayed mostly silent during the entire "tour". At the stops, he kinda half heartedly "explained" where we were, or why we stopped, but it wasn't in any particular sequence, so some heard, some didn't, and no explanation as to why it was important. Heading to the 100 (1000?) steps, when we arrived the place was fairly crowded, so we just kept on going, with no explanation. From town to there, we had pointed out to us gas stations, grocery stores, but the flora/fauna, and overall rugged beauty of the countryside was ignored. For example, driving through the National Park, there are fairly impressive cliffs and what appeared to be caves, yet there was no mention of them, and when trying to get information, there was no reply. We arrived in Rincon, fully expecting to go to the Cadushy Distillery, listed as "the only distillery in Bonaire." We went to a "museum" (a house with a few obsolete items), given a sample of cactus liquore, and then headed out to return, passing several other tourist locations (Goat Farm, for one). Again, absolutely no talk. When asked about the Distillery, we were told it was closed. When we returned, we looked up the people who greeted us, and then the disclaimers started. The driver was "shy" (really...he's a tour guide and driver!!), the Cadushy Distillery was false, shady, and the only true cactus liquore was produced by a different person, who would not allow tourists to visit the distillery. We had stopped at the Cadushy store in town, and yes, the Distillery was, in fact, open. Now, if there is such a "battle" between the two, would not that be an interesting subject for the tour? So, to tie this up, if you get the big yellow bus, you may be ok, but if you get the small minivan, there may be an issue. We were not able to determine how many drivers/tour guides were employed, so this might be an issue. This tour/excursion has the potential to be extremely good, but under the existing conditions, it sadly lacks a cohesive and encouraging visit.
