We were super excited to learn a new method of fishing. It was so much fun to snorkel and fish with a hand line, all while you are seeing the corals and creatures below. Franz and his daughter were so welcoming. He explained everything in detail and kept checking in with you while you were in the water, which made you feel safe and was much appreciated! I can’t begin to tell you how delicious the fresh caught fish was that was cooked right there on the beach! Some of the best grouper & snapper we’ve eaten. We could have stayed there all day. Hands down, this was the best part of our trip! ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND!! 😎

We had a fantastic time snorkeling and learning how to fish with a hand line. Catching our own fish and then having it fried to perfection was definitely a highlight of our trip. Hands down the best fried fish we had while on the island, can’t get any fresher and better than freshly caught grouper. Frans and his family were super welcoming and accommodating which made the whole experience even better. A great way to spend a morning in Bonaire. 1000% must do!

We had a great time on this tour. Franz and Marie offer a very personal tour and were very accomodating when we wanted to add more people last minute. The snorkeling was amazing and had a great variety of sea life especially being so close to shore. The guys went out further snorkeling to a drop off and spool fished with instructions from Franz. My husband, as a hobby fisherman, was ecstatic to catch fish a new way. Franz also brought more fresh caught fish to cook on the beach to feed us all. We had snapper and grouper, with the grouper being a group favorite. We would definitely recommend this tour option.

Franz was a great, personable host of a simple half-day outing that was truly relaxing. Snorkelling was good right off the shore of Donkey Beach and I even caught a grouper which Franz fried up on the beach. I could've stayed all day!

We had a great afternoon with Frans and Marie and their girls....we snorkeled out and caught a couple snappers that Frans fried up on the beach for us.....a great value for this excursion...can't get any fresher.....it was one of the highlights of our trip

We had an amazing time fishing and our guide was incredible even showed us around the island a bit on our way back. He was really great at explaining all of the fish. The fish that he cooked up were also delicious! I know this will be one of our favorite parts of our trip!

Very relaxed beach adventure that offered lessons and practice in traditional Island fishing techniques. Good snorkeling. Wonderful guides. Fun experience.

Our host was right on time to pick up my husband and I from the cruise ship. There was a second couple who joined us. It was a wonderful time visiting with the host and learning about Bonaire. The beach had shade and we relaxed in beach chairs. The snorkeling was great with clear water. Divers were nearby, so we were in a good spot. It was easy to walk from the beach into the water to snorkel. I loved learning to fish while snorkeling. While I didn’t catch a fish, our host did. I just need some more practice!) He grilled the fished and it was delicious. I’m so glad that I did this adventure. It was a great experience and a neat time learning to fish. I wouldn’t hesitate to do this activity again!

This was one of the highlights of our trip. The snorkeling was fantastic, and the fresh grilled fish was delicious. After a brief set of instructions, we were able to set out on our own and explore. They give you as much or as little help as you want, and for us it was perfect. There were 6 of us, and we ranged in age from 20 to 78.

Wonderful time spent on the beach and fishing. Fish cooked to perfection. It was a pleasure spending time with Frans and his family.

This was incredible! We went as a family of 4; my mother (71); two boys (8) & (6) and myself (35). We brought our water shoes, towels and swimmies for the littlest. Frans picked us up at our Cruise port and took us to Donkey Beach where he had everything set up. chairs, cooler of water and Cola, BBQ set up and gear. Frans and his family were just lovely people. This was our first time snorkeling and we thoroughly enjoyed being amongst an aquarium just steps from shore! We saw TONS of beautiful fish! "Dory", angelfish, trumpet fish, butterfly fish, parrotfish, Graysby, (which we ate and was delicious!) and plenty more. The kids spent nearly the whole time snorkeling and my mother was just as happy sitting in the shade under a beautiful tree watching in awe her grandchildren snorkeling and as Frans and family seasoned the fish we caught and cooked it right on the beach. Thank you SO much for a beautiful memory and your sincere hospitality.

Great (personal) experience! You're both snorkeling and fishing, and it's quite a challenge, as well as fun! Afterwards you get to prepare and eat your own catch, which is quite interesting and nice as well. Grilled fish on a BBQ tasts really good!

My husband and I had scheduled this tour on our recent trip to Bonaire aboard Explorer of the Seas. Unfortunately the morning of our much anticipated fishing trip my husband became I'll and we couldn't go. I email Frans from the tour and notified Viator. Frans was wonderful. Viator does not give refunds on cancellations less than 24 hours. Frans however made the trip to the port in order to give me a refund on his own. He was so nice and concerned about my husband. What wonderful customer service. We will definitely book this tour again on our next visit to Bonaire. Thank you so much Frans.

We had a great time with our hosts! This was more of a private excursion. Just my family of 6. The beach area of was clean. Lots of fish in the off-shore snorkeling. A very different experience for my family. The freshly cooked fish was AMAZING!

We found Master Activities in Bonaire and arranged for the Fishing and Grilling experience with Frans. He was quick to respond, answer our questions and make meeting arrangements. Communication was excellent. We met at Donkey Beach. Frans had everything set up ready to go for our snorkeling/fishing expedition. We brought our own snorkeling gear however, Frans also had other equipment available. Frans took time to introduce himself and their team and to explain what other activities they offered. Frans walked us through the procedure of how to fish with a handline, what fish we were looking for and how to hook the fish once they bit the bait. He also covered safety when using the fishing equipment. Once we were prepared, Frans safely helped us into the water as there were surges and once out in the ocean, he made sure to keep a watchful eye on us throughout the session. He took us to an area where there were lots of fish and pointed out where to drop our lines. Throughout the session, he provided tricks and tips to help us catch the fish. Once we caught our fish, we headed back to shore. Again, Frans helped us out of the water ensuring a safe exit. On shore, he offered to let us help prepare the fish but we politely declined as these fish were not familiar to us, so we watched and learned. Frans prepared the grill for the fish that were caught. When everything was ready, he cooked the fish and served us a very delicious plate of fish. We enjoyed chatting with Frans, the learning experience, and delicious fish. We highly recommend this excellent activity!
