      A bit shorter than described
The tour itself was ok, we saw sea turtles and fishes near the ship wreck, however, the experience wasn't quite as expected, we booked the coral reef tour because we did the snorkeling the day before and wanted to see something different, but the tour guide rescheduled our tour to the Carlisle Bay the day after because of the wind, but we actually didn't feel the weather is much better the next day, so now we are basically seeing the same thing as the snorkeling tour before. Also our tour was just 1h, less than described of 1.5h, and we didn't really get the rum punch described in the intro, I understand it's hot weather to host such tour but still it's a bit disappointing.

      Group tour becomes private tour!
Nicky is our tour guide. He has prepared well, called us in the morning to update us the weather which may require us to reschedule the tour. Fortunately, the tour was still going, and only my partner and I showed up. Nicky showed us the devil fish and we saw them in the glass bottom of the kayak. He had been professional to give us a quick tutorial of kayak, because it's the first time for my partner.

      Great Kayaking experience
Nicky and Akhilles were friendly informative and generally just so very helpful. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 children aged 9 and 11. The children felt safe and loved seeing the fishes and sting rays…we also saw a ship wreck. Would highly recommend for those who want to venture into the ocean, see some wonderful sea life but come away with dry hair!! ;)

      Amazing trip
Booked this for my boyfriends birthday and it didn’t disappoint! The guides were so friendly and knowledgable, really looked after us and made us feel safe! The boats were great you got a really good view of the reefs & shipwreck when you went over them. We enjoyed a delicious rum punch at the end of the boat trip too courtesy of the guys 🙌🏾 The beach the trip is located at is lovely, a little calmer than at Christchurch where we have been staying so we spent a few hours enjoying the water there & had a lovely fish dinner at the surf side beach bar! Was an amazing morning/ afternoon.

      Exploring by Kayak
Great way to tour the reefs and shipwrecks. Clear kayaks are normally based out of Carlisle Bay but get in touch directly with Nicky & the team if you want to explore near Holetown instead.

      Waste of time
I called to book a rental for my wife's birthday and he confirmed my rental, location and time, I asked if there is anything else he needs (like my name) and he said "no your good". Fash forward to the day of, an hour before our rental time and I received a call for the guy. He called sounding like he just woke up and confirmed my rental and time. After that he proceeded to tell me they are super busy and aren't doing rentals at the moment so he is cancelling my rental, said "yeah okay cheers" and thet where it. No apologies, nothing. I would not be leaving this review if he had just told me they aren't taking rentals from the start, but to leave it till right before, after waking up early to cut the grass and have everything out the way, after my wife and I had gotten exited, to cancel an hour before and in such a bad manner is very poor business. As a local and small business owner if he had been polite and courteous I would have tried at another date, referred friends to try it out and sharing his business on Instagram pushed business his way. But here I am disappointed and left in the dust wondering what I should do for my wife's birthday now.

      Really enjoyable trip.
Fantastic experience and really enjoyable trip. Nikki was a really nice guy and great host. The clear kayaks are a great idea and a good way to see the reef. The paddling is easy and it's no hassle. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous guide and lovely clear water.
A lovely experience. Our guide was helpful and interesting. We saw baby turtles swimming away from the shore (and scary birds hovering overhead to swoop). Plenty of coral and beautiful tropical fish.

      Fun few hours
Had a great time out with Nicky on the kayaks, what a great idea to have clear kayaks to see below you as you glide across the reefs and shipwrecks, was also lucky enough to see a turtle.

      Great experience
We booked our trip with nikky and he was amazing. Even though the sea was a little rough he still took us out and we saw some turtles, fish and a ship wreck. He was lovely and talked us through all the safety information. I would highly recommend

      Unique experience
If you want to see fish without getting your hair wet, try Clear Kayaks! My husband, adult daughter and I went out as a last-minute tour and had a very enjoyable excursion. Two tour guides took us over a few coral reefs and we saw lots of sea life. A great way to spend a morning/afternoon and get a bit of exercise as well!

      A fascinating experience
A really enjoyable afternoon paddling around watching the sea life beneath us through the kayak. Nikky was friendly and accommodating and we really enjoyed the tour. We would certainly recommend it.

      Wonder experience
Really a great tour. The uniqueness of the kayak meant you got a magnified view of the seabed below. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Thoroughly recommend

Kind of like kayaking inside an aquarium...
Highly recommended if you're more interested in nature than in jet skis... Nicky was responsive when we made the reservation, and knowledgeable and helpful during the tour. The coral and shipwreck are interesting, and you have plenty of time to just float and watch the fish go by underneath you. It's not particularly strenuous, especially if you're reasonably comfortable in a kayak. Our highlight was watching a massive stingray "flying" under us while several frigatebirds were flying right over us.

Many thanks to Nicky and his team for their friendly service, flexibility and knowledge. We had to reschedule a couple of times due to weather and Nicky was very flexible and communicative. In the end, we had poor visibility which was unfortunate but Nicky and his colleague made sure we had a very enjoyable afternoon, learnt more about the island the shipwrecks and made the most of a beautiful sunset.

Great tour company and great guides.

I went in the evening tour and saw lots of sea turtles, fish and the wrecks. One of the turtles right under me even swam right up to the bottom of the boat and surfaced about a foot away. So good!

Going near sundown on a rainy evening provided awesome views of sunset and had the turtles out but it was a little harder to see through the boat to the wrecks from a little sun glare. That said the turtles were clear and it was easier when the back of the boat was to the sun. (Only reason for the 4). Earlier with higher sun would be less sensitive to this though you miss sunset.

Definitely a safe and easy way to see the wonders of the bay, you just want to get out of the boat and swim with the turtles!

We booked this as a "shore excursion" on our own, not through a cruise line (though we were here on a cruise) and we were very happy with our experience. It was just my husband and I and our tour guide. We had a tandem kayak, which our guide hooked onto as we were floating over shipwrecks so that we could really spend time looking at them and not worrying about paddling. The only downside to this, as there were a few ships in port, there were many snorkelers around us and we had to actively try to avoid them. But this tour was a wonderful way to enjoy sea life! We saw turtles and rays and fish and the boat was absolutely see through - we have some great video and pictures from our phone up against the bottom. When it's over, you're right on a beautiful beach, where you can rent chairs and umbrellas.

We had a great time out in the two person clear (enabling you to see what's happening below) kayak. It was a pretty well paced paddle where we got to see the two shipwrecks in Carlisle Bay (Brown's Beach) and our guide was really knowledgeable about the sea life and history of the shipwrecks. It is well worth the money and I'd totally recommend doing this when you visit Barbados.

Hire a kayak on the beach ($20US for 1h), paddle out approximately 150m parallel to the onshore band stand/pagoda to see the best wreck. Snorkel off the kayak. At worst paddle to where the divers surface and big boats anchor to identify snorkel site. Sea turtles, lots of fish and black tip sharks.

Amazing clear waters lots to see and a knowledgable friendly guide. It was very busy around the wrecks our lovely guide was able to navigate us away from the crowds of snorkellers. As the boats are none invasive the turtles were not scared away. We could see everything through the clear bottom of the kayak.

Our guide was very relaxed and helpful (if rather poor communication!)
Visibility of the sea below the boats was pretty poor - especially when bright conditions (kinda unavoidable!)
We did manage to see some turtles, a ray and a sunken ship, so not all bad.
The Carlisle Bay Area is extremely busy/popular cruise drop off point, so found ourselves having to dodge jet skis, boats and lots of snorkelling people.
If you really want to see the underwater wildlife, I’d recommend a boat trip to either snorkel or scuba.
I’d read similar reviews beforehand about the clear kayaks and felt would be useful to be honest about our experience not being what we’d hoped for.

Outstanding time on the water with the guided tour in Carlisle Bay. Guide was super friendly and took the time so we were able to see shipwrecks and turtles. Hooked the kayaks together for a while so we could look more and paddle less. Would definitely recommend. Everything super professional and fun!

We were amazed with our clear kayak tour of Carlisle Bay and saw turtles, many fish, starfish and of course the shipwrecks. Our guide made sure we were safe (I’m not a swimmer) and that we were able to see as much wildlife as possible. The conditions weren’t perfect but it didn't matter. We had a wonderful experience.

Nikki, the owner, is an honest and kind man. If in Barbados, don’t miss this adventure.

Great service and excellent experience! Good communication helping us figure out how to reach the tour from the cruise boat. Nikky was punctual and helped us with our kayaks since we are beginners. Kayaks were well maintained and comfortable, with a padded seat and backrest. He pointed out sea turtles, and the shipwreck was really neat. Finished the tour with an excellent rum punch from Nikky. Overall a great experience and value - would definitely recommend!
