- F4776OXandrewb0 contributionsSimply wonderful!I’m 57, I’m not that well traveled but I’ve been to a few places and had some great experiences but the Koopa Troopa boat and crew? They were superb! They took us to see turtles and a ship wreck and so much marine life; it was one of the best experiences of my life! I can’t recommend this highly enough. If you’re in Barbados, try Harbour Lights (in itself, a great bar and beach) but take a trip on Koppa Troopa, you won’t be disappointed!Written November 10, 2024
- My4cats0 contributionsGreat day at the beach! We always go to The Boatyard but decided to try something different this year. We arrived early after a quick $5 cab ride and were able to score front row chairs. Service was good and we liked that it is more peaceful than The Boatyard. We also did the turtle/shipwreck snorkel and the guides are lovely and helpful pointing out the undersea wildlife and also assisting slower swimmers ( like me!) Lunch and drink were delicious as well and it was another quick ride back to the ship at the end of the day. We will definitely return hereWritten November 10, 2024
- Bedwin130 contributionsGreat trip!Excellent trio! Highly recommend. We saw turtles, sting rays and puffer fish. Plus some big fish too. It’s great value for money and the sun lounger on the beach was an added bonus where you get well looked after for drinks etc!Written November 1, 2024

- Ed W0 contributionsFantastic Snorkelling TripWe had an amazing trip snorkeling around the shipwrecks. We saw several turtles and many stunning brightly coloured fish. We were given a warm welcome from Derek on arrival who explained how everything worked and showed us to our sunbeds that were reserved in our name (made us feel like Vip's! Lol! On the boat (named Cooper Trooper) we were well looked after, they were very friendly and helpful, gave us life vests (which although we are ok swimmers made us feel much less anxious about swimming in deeper water). If you need them, they can also supply snorkels, masks and flippers. The trip lasted for 1.5 hours so was very good value. Overall, a fantastic experience that we will never forget. Highly recommended. Finally, a massive thank you to all the team for our day.Written July 23, 2024
- R3346QVsarahc0 contributionsGood package deal! The snorkeling trip was a little disappointing, but for reasons mostly outside of the tour company's control. The guides were very nice and helpful. Unfortunately the water was pretty stirred up and cloudy over the shipwreck at the time we went. I was able to dive down a few feet and it was much clearer, but for those in our party who were not as comfortable in the water, they were really disappointed to not be able to see the shipwreck. The area was also very crowd with snorkelers from other tour groups. One thing that all companies could do better might be to time their stops over the shipwreck to not overlap other groups so that everyone gets a better experience. For the turtle stop, there just weren't many turtle that came out to play for the few minutes we were there. That is not the your company's fault. That is just nature. The group that went out immediately after us apparently saw a bunch of turtles. We saw about 3. I DO recommend this tour as a low cost fun experience, but manage your expectations as a lot depends on nature which is out of the tour company's control. The beach was beautiful and the chairs and umbrellas made the full package a really good deal. There was a lot of seaweed on our beach day, but again this was out of their control and not the norm. It's a gorgeous beach. There is a cafe/bar on site...a little pricey, but to be expected. Burgers, hotdogs, chicken options available as well as a couple of local food items in the menu. I do recommend this excursion but I also recommend to manage expectations due to nature variables. Hope this is helpful for other travelers!Written June 8, 2024

- wendy1408660 contributionsAmazing timeI visited with my sister for the day. She does not like snorkelling so was an ideal place as she hired a lounger and umbrella while I done the same but added an hour snorkelling tour. I was the only person on my tour so was amazing to have a personal tour with just myself and the guide. Seen the amazing ship wreck with thousands of fish and then onto another site. I seen many turtles, puffa fish and lots of other fish. Once back at the beach you can order food and drinks to be brought to your loungers. Can’t thank the staff enough for an amazing time.Written April 23, 2024
- melaniemoore4160 contributions5 stars! Highly recommend the Koopa Troopa crew for snorkelingWould highly recommend the “Perfect Day at Harbour Lights” package, which includes a snorkel tour of the shipwreck, and sights of turtles, fish, and if you’re lucky stingrays! We loved our tourguides aboard the Koopa Troopa boat. They were all so lovely and patient for newbie snorklers. The entire crew was lovely. Special shout-out to Kamael who was so sweet and provided my mother (a senior) with personalized assistance throughout. We enjoyed a delicious lunch afterwards (one vegetarian option available - the veggie burger) which was delicious. A five star experience!Written April 15, 2024

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with this evening and wouldn’t say it was particularly good value for money at all. The operator were useless at responding to my 3 messages asking about our transportation, the entertainment seemed rushed either side of a meal which again wasn’t of a great standard. To top it off there were two large groups of school kids there, one of which was quite well behaved and much better than the all girls school who had several students that were clearly very drunk (no control from their teachers) and a complete embarrassment quite frankly. Although the evening went on until midnight we had to leave at 10.30pm or would have to find our own way home, so as a result the unlimited drinks were not really that unlimited. Overall quite poor for what it cost.

Personally i think this is very much like the butlins of the Caribbean. It’s most definitely not worth £80 person (200 Barbadian dollars) yes you get entertainment, food and drinks but for what you get is like mediocre school dinners, watered down drinks in a crampt bar that backs out onto a beach that you can’t access without permission and the gate being unlocked.
Not what we were sold which was a sunset party on the beach with a barbecue and a free bar.
Over all the entertainment is good, albeit a bit derogatory to real Afro-Caribbean culture as it’s VERY americanised.
The gentleman on the door is very helpful and overall staff are very helpful. But I wouldn’t recommend. Not worth it.

At now $106 USD per person (plus a little extra for ‘tourism tax’), I expected something spectacular. Unfortunately that’s not the word that will spring to mind afterwards.
Slickly marketed but over-hyped, you will feel somewhat cheated. Full disclosure, we’re not drinkers. We went for the entertainment - Which is pretty decent as long as you have a good seat. Steel band was great, but the rest felt mediocre.
Their ‘transportation’ is included in the ticket price but if you have someone in your party willing to drive, definitely recommend you make your own way here (and back)
We were entertained, but it was average. The food was below average. Most of the staff are decent. But we had been on a family horse-riding trek earlier in the day. It was half the cost and much better value for money.
Swerve this one unless you’re really bored and don’t mind tossing a few hundred (US) dollars away.

The food was amazing and a great portion was given. I got the fish it was massive! The rum and fruit punch were great. The entertainment was great especially the man singing he really livened up the crowd. There was a free pickup included the bus was quite full however i was only on it briefly as my hotel (hilton Barbados resort) was like 5 mins away.

Buffet hot dinner was very nice. Shared tables with another couple and luckily very close to stage. It did rain and a few extra roof canopies were rolled out quickly but around 25 diners had to run for cover. The food was decent quality. Drinks were included in price and were local beers and limited cocktails. Although not advertised, wine was also available. The entertainment was good family entertainment consisting of dancers, singers, dancers on stilts, steel drums. It was fun though not to a particular high standard. We had a very pleasant evening but not convinced it was worth the cost of over 200barbados $ per person. Bus travel included in price which worked well until journey home when our bus driver drove straight past coconut court hotel without stopping. He advised us that we were on the wrong bus as he only picked us up but a different bus was due to take us home. This was not communicated to us.

This is highly overpriced.
The food was only average not what would be expected. The show was spoilt by backing music being far too loud. It is far too bass heavy making it almost impossible to hear the singing. The steel pan band was drowned out. The stilt walkers never appeared.
Don't waste your money stay away.

Great value for your money. Within the entertainment segments, there are lessons of history and culture along with the music. The performing cast are top notch singers, dancers, and performers. The fire act was astounding. Bajan appetizers (albeit tiny servings) are provided along with a welcome drink (rum punch). Different meat options are given: chicken, fish, and beef. Sides were traditional bajan: macaroni pie, pumpkin veggie medley, roasted potatoes, Ceasar salad or bean salad, and yellow rice. The food was good and well portioned—just different than other Caribbean national dishes so don’t come with those expectations. My biggest gripe with bajan food is that it’s underwhelmingly seasoned—a nod to their British colonists. However, this food will be tasty to the average culinary palete: I detected no anchovies in the ceasar dressing and this was the first time I had jerk chicken without a hint of spicy heat, and the other food options were sparsely seasoned (esp the rice). However, lack of heat makes it accessible to kids and spice intolerant folks. The saving grace is that hot sauce and BBQ sauce are provided for your own saucing needs. My anxieties were also alleviated when I learned the food was not self-serve buffet, as it is walk up and get served. Save room for dessert but don’t wait to long to join the line because it will be shut down as quickly as it began—we missed it but were filled from dinner anyway. My biggest gripe about my visit is that I observed not one person tipping their bar tender. Yes you paid an all inclusive fee for an open bar but TIP YOUR SERVER because they still must make you the drink. I highly recommend this experience.

We were transported fm west coast hotel to Harbour Lights and upon arrival got choice of seats due to early arrival. Very nice outdoor setting with table seating or picnic tables on the sand. Drinks were free and buffet food included salad, vegetables, rice, potatoes, mac pie, and your grilled selection of steak, chicken, or shrimp. All was tasty and plentiful. Prior to and then after the buffet entertainment included dancers, fire eater, stilt dancing, and singer with opportunity for all to dance. Overall a great evening with

A great night out for all the family. The show was really good fun and dancing is encouraged. Food was also very good with a choice of chicken, steak, shrimp or vegetarian. The steaks were huge! There’s a good choice on the free drinks menu including rum punch and pina colada. Pick up from the hotel was on time. Our only negative comment was arrival. There was so many people arriving at the same time, that there was a long queue in the car park and we had to keep moving to allow the minibuses in to drop more people off but this was quickly forgotten once you were in and sat down. Tables are outside and the floor is sand so high heels probably not recommended.

We managed to stay for the first 45 minutes of the show which was more like a disco than what we were expecting of a tradtional Caribbean event.
Lots of drink available but didn't stay long enough for the food.
For us it was a very expensive glass of rum punch and a lot of loud music and a wasted evening.
Live and learn..
