About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- L1972UAsuzanneb0 contributionsNext TimeWe actually were not able to go based on a rain storm and the company was very cooperative about cabcwlling arrangements and refunding usWritten September 12, 2024
- bonnyvoxnj0 contributionsMore than we could have asked for!Even better than anticipated! Ervin was a gracious and conscientious host, eager to please, and delivered an outright amazing experience. Will definitely be looking him up for our next Bermuda experience. Highly recommend.Written September 10, 2024
- GLMS-NC0 contributionsBeautiful water but expect a crowded beachAbsolutely stunning blue water. It doesn't get better than this. Large swimming areas we well. One complaint - the beach chair rental company sets up hundreds of beach chairs to rent and they take a ton of beach space up. We were disappointed as we set our towels down and the rental folks put people literally right next to us. As the day went on the beach got too crowded. Plenty of room int he water but the beach area was too busy so we left and went to Long's beach. Very few people there, same water, and beautiful pink sand beach. If you go here, go early in the AM before the crowds get there. Two cruise ships in on the day we went and there were people everywhere by noon. We stayed until 1:00 then went to Long's beach. Easy to get the bus from two different stops. Be sure to walk around all the beach areas and you will find a number of quiet coves and rock formations. Calm water and very relaxing.Written July 11, 2024
- ssumeeth0 contributionsTurquoise blue waters with breathtaking viewsBright skies and clear blue waters, the what else are looking for on a nice sunny day? Horseshoe Bay beach is a quiet and relaxing place with gorgeous views and coves. Water is turquoise and clear with no see weeds. The hidden coves to the left give you a secluded space if you want to get away from the crowds. There are options to rent chairs and umbrellas… I found them a bit expensive with $20 for each then again you are on the best beach. Take your self, your family and friends …one of the best beaches to visit when you are in Bermuda. We took the private bus from the Dockyard to the beach. It costed us $7.00 per person. The driver was nice and helpful. We felt very safe.Written April 6, 2024
- L8209CAroberts0 contributionsExtensive display of Bermuda's Underwater history and discovery by Teddy Tucker the great diver and discoverer of over 1The price of 125 pounds is not accurate! it is nowhere near that expensive to enter and tour. Other than this confusing poor advert for guests, it is a most worthwhile experience. Highly recommendedWritten March 10, 2024
- timmH744KN0 contributionsDefinitely visit the caves! What a wonderful experience. Lot of steps if visiting both caves so take it easy. Guides were great and informative. If staying on the island check when cruise ships are in and avoid as very busy and I would imagine dramatically reduce experience.Written February 2, 2024
- christinefI9830RT0 contributionsBest Bermuda private tour guide for a Couple! It’s hard to describe all the sights we saw in 3.5 hours in and around Hamilton Bermuda. Dean our private tour guide’s was born and raised near Hamilton. His family goes back many generations and has a wealth of knowledge of local flora, best beaches, etc. He showed us the many jungle vegetations used as medicines, teas, etc. Dean showed us three English Forts that used to protect the Island and the history behind them. Bermuda was uninhabited prior to England claiming as its Territory 1602. Dean said that Bermuda is an extinct volcano with a huge coral reef around it. The reef is the site of many shipwrecks. So if you want a native Bermuda tour guide, there is none better than Dean’s private tours.Written December 2, 2023

- Honestnews0 contributionsToo many taxesAre people silent on so many taxes added in Bermuda ?! Room Tax, Resort Fee Tax, Government Tax PLUS the high cost of rooms. Verify full charge befpre booking Bermuda. Where is this craziness going ?!! ENOUGH !!!!!Written August 4, 2023
- Wanderer2546080 contributionsToo expensive not worth itKind of got left at the abandoned hotel Beach with a bottle of rum and two bottles of water. It felt rushed, each beach maybe 5 minutes tops and for $199 per person it definitely was too much money for the experience or the lack of it.Written July 31, 2023
- BudgetTravelerLife0 contributionslovelyHorseshoe Bay is really nice, but crowded. Has great facilities for food, chairs, and bathroom. Best bathrooms I have ever seen on the beach. I suggest walking further down past the rocks and you get more secluded beaches. You may even be by yourself. Water can get choppy so be careful.Written July 15, 2023

Dean texted me at 11:45 the night before our excursion asking if we could move our time from 1 p.m. to an earlier time. I saw the text at 7:37 a.m. and asked what time would be good. He replied at 9:23 a.m. asking could we meet at 10. We agreed, met up and proceeded with the outing. At first Dean was friendly and engaging, then went quiet. He took us to the aquarium, then picked us up at noon and drove to the Crystal Cave. He asked if we wanted to be dropped off back at the dock or in Hamilton. We said Hamilton and he returned $30 cab fare and left. It felt like Dean had better things to do besides deal with us. We got everything advertised, but in hindsight, we would have been better off financially taking public transportation or a cab to the aquarium and Crystal Cave. The attractions are worth visiting, but there are ample ways to get around the island cheaper. Our cab driver taking us from the Crystal Cave to Hamilton was very friendly and informative. The ferrys are a pretty cool way to get around the country and cost $4.50 per token.

The tour operator cancelled our excursion two hours before we were to depart. We were very disappointed. They did offer to postpone it to the next day, but we were departing Bermuda that day. My credit card was fully refunded in a timely manner.

If you are visiting the island of Bermuda either by bvoat or staying on the Island you need to include the Bermuda Aquarium and Crystal Caves. I arrived by cruise ship with my Wife and my twin granddaughters age 14. We really enjoyed the aquarium but really enjoyed our trip down into the caves. the stories were wonderful, and the sights were breath taking. you can book the tour with your ship's excurision desk or by taxi or independent vendors.

Price was OUTRAGEOUS for our experience. We paid $159 pp for this tour.
I printed the ticket before we left for our trip to Bermuda but the ticket had no place specified to pick us up. We didn't have internet on Bermuda so it was really a challenge to find our tour guide. The excursion said an Air-conditioned vehicle was included but we were picked up in an old van with the windows down. When we asked if we could have the AC put on, the van overheated. The guide didn't seem to know a lot about Bermuda. I had taken a tour the day before and learned a ton but this tour guide didn't convey much information. For the price, this tour was really a bust.

Absolutely beautiful! Worth walking all the way back up! If you have trouble with stairs, this may not be a good spot for you, but if you can do it, it is so beautiful! The tour guide was wonderful! Interesting story and pretty grounds, as well.

We really only wanted to see the Crystal Caves, but the Aquarium was really nice too. Besides seeing all the animals, the views of the water were spectacular and across the street I took beautiful pictures of the tide coming in and the fish along the dock.
The Crystal Caves were breathtaking, a must see in everyone’s lifetime.

Lovely experience being able to see the underwater world of the reef. You get up really close with the animals in the zoo which a used by schools to teach children .

Beautiful caves, interesting history but tours are pretty dense in certain areas and you wait for other tours to finish (one way in, one way out). Great experience but be prepared to be clustered.
