- Get picked up from your hotel or the cruise-ship port, board the vibrantly colored, open-air bus, and kick off your island sightseeing tour. Caribbean music greets you as your guide explains the role music plays on Aruba and teaches you a few funky dance moves. Begin your tour in Oranjestad as your guide shares the island’s history and points out important historic sites. Then make your way to top landmarks such as the Casibari Rock Formation, Natural Bridge, Bushiribana Gold Mill Ruins, Alto Vista Chapel, and the California Lighthouse. At each key stop you have 15 to 20 minutes to snap some photos and enjoy the views. Next, enjoy an hour swimming and snorkeling at a beach on the southwest side of the island. Snorkel gear is included on this tour, as are snacks and bottled water. Your half-day sightseeing experience ends with transportation back to your hotel or cruise ship.

- sammanthaa20240 contributionsGreat guides, honest review of my experience!I am rating this experience 4 out of 5 only because some of the equipment wasn’t as nice as some of the other tours. The transportation bus was late picking up and then broke down at the beginning of the trip which took a lot out of our time so we were rushed through some of the stops. Also, it wasn’t explained how much the bandana and goggles would help. I feel those items should be built into the cost because everyone should really have them to go through the desert. I thought my sunglasses would be enough but it wasn’t and I had SO MUCH dirt in my eyes by the end of it. Also the UTVs seemed like they needed maintenance. The shocks were so bad that hitting some of those bumps literally sent the spare tire flying at the group behind us, because it wasn’t secured. The tires on ours were pretty bald. Some mirrors were broken. However I give 5 stars to our incredible tour guides Jojo and Ab, they had awesome energy. They did their best to keep everyone happy and provided us with a lot of information on Aruba and the culture. Both of them have 5 star service! Even with all of the above, we still had a blast. I still recommend this one but just get the goggles, bandana and insurance.Written September 6, 2024

I would absolutely recommend this to see these tucked away places in aruba. Some tips: get a bandana and goggles. You will be covered in dust. Get the utv instead of the atv. Has a roof, is faster, and the suspension handles the trail better. Especially if you are two up. Wear clothes you can swim in and shoes not sandals. 10/10 experience learning some history and doing some off roading.Written September 5, 2024

- 612BarbaraL0 contributionsA Must-Do Tour!This was a fantastic trip largely due to our amazing guide, E.A., who was very informative and friendly and attentive to our safety. First, he welcomed us warmly and then explained pertinent aspects of off-road driving in a UTV. We toured the northern shore of Aruba and saw gorgeous rock formations, the Bushiribana gold mine ruin (which we were permitted to explore), the California Lighthouse, swam in the gorgeous Arashi Beach, often along the coast of the Caribbean which looks much bluer there (because it's so deep). The highlight of the tour, though, was the exhilarating jump into the cave pool. E.A. was extremely helpful guiding us safely down and across the very uneven rocky stretch to get to the jumping point. He also took lots of photos on our cellphones that captured many priceless moments on this tour. This was a wonderful tour we will remember forever. Thank you, E.A.!Written September 4, 2024

We asked for a private bus for our group of up to 25 people. I requested this THREE times yet never got a confirmation from the staff. The guide was fine, but was not used to having people that wanted the tour style to be more free-flowing. He accomodated, but not without resistance. The tour was too hurried and we didn't get enough time in most of the locations. Very disappointing to get to lighthouse, be told it would take 20 minutes to go up to the top and back down, and then find out that we would only have 10 minutes at the stop. If you have a group, I recommend booking a private tour where you have more control over what you are doing and how long you have on various locations. Six people in our party decided to stay at the beach and take a taxi back to the ship rather than deal with the bus ride back. The guide himself was fine, however, he repeated multiple times that they make their money through tips. Many people are resistant to tip when hounded and reminded to tip. Everyone knows to tip. Let people decide for themselves.

This half day trip was excellent. We didn’t have the bus to travel in, unfortunately as with a lot of businesses I’m sure, customers have dwindled since Covid and there were only four of us on the trip but we were picked up from our hotel in a very comfortable air conditioned people carrier which made the trip extremely comfortable. All the places we visited were lovely and it was very nice to finish the tour at Arashi beach where you could swim if you wanted too. Our tour guide was Hugo and he was brilliant, he had a lovely sense of humour but also he was born on the island so his knowledge of the history of Aruba was excellent. We have been to Aruba several times but had not seen much of the island before so it was really interesting to see where and how people live outside of the tourist area. I would certainly recommend this trip and if you get Hugo as your guide you are in for a very entertaining few hours

We also had Ralphie Benjamin as our guide, which turned out to be an exceptional private tour. He proudly showed us highlights of his island, he made us feel so comfortable and really went out of his way to get the snorkel trip in at Baby Beach. Even the tropical fish and donkeys love Ralphie. A highlight of our trip!

I am so glad I booked this trip! I only wish I had done Day 1 so I knew all of the great places and beaches to go to throughout our stay. Hugo was the absolute best tour guide and made sure to learn everyone’s names and to involve us all throughout the 4 hour tour. He was extremely patient with me as well when I was “teetering” on edge of the ‘Natural Cave Pool’ and he and my hubby were finally able to coax me in after 2 failed attempts :). He helped me believe the acronym YOLO when I have always been a FOMO gal! Would love to try the UTV tours next time we are here! Hugo, I said a little prayer for you at the chapel too! Hope all your wishes come true!

This trip was probably the highlight of my trip. Our tour, Hugo, was an awesome dude with tons of knowledge about the island. He kept us informed of Aruba’s history throughout the tour in a playful manner any age could enjoy. I’ve also got to mention he kept us hydrated throughout the tour (water is an expensive commodity in Aruba😂).
If you plan on taking a trip to Aruba I HIGHLY recommend putting this tour on your agenda…you won’t regret it 🤙🏿

The Rockabeach bus tour was so much fun! Hugo was our tour guide and was full of great knowledge about the history and culture of of Aruba; all while entertaining the group with his playful manner! The tour lasted about 4 hours and ended with a refreshing dip at the Arashi beach with crystal blue waters and white sandy beaches. I learned a lot about the island and would definitely recommend this tour for everyone. Our group was diverse and consisted of toddlers, young adults and seniors. Definitely will be back! Thank you Hugo for such an amazing tour!

We took the rockabeach bus tour today with Hugo as our driver. Hugo was insightful with tons of island knowledge. However his most redeeming quality was his enthusiasm.
We partied as Hugo played carnival music on the buses speakers between stops. We had a great time.
Let me say we are in our 50’s and had our daughter and family members with us. This is also our 3rd time in Aruba.
It was outstanding!
If you are looking for an open air bus experience with a little fun while seeing the sights. This tour is for you.

This was an amazing experience thanks to our tour guide! He was so enthused and kind throughout the whole tour giving us back stories about the sights we came across. I enjoyed every moment and it was very interactive because he gives you a good amount of time to explore each sight! He also takes awesome pictures and was patient with landing the right angles :) I’m adding a picture of him in the review so you know the exact tour guide I recommend to book with!

Hugo was an amazing tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions about Aruba past and present. He was funny and engaging sharing stories and facts about the island as well as the sights we stopped at. He was very accommodating of our large party and knew how to appeal to people of all ages. I would highly recommend a bus tour with Hugo!

Hugo made this tour really interesting and fun. The colourful ‘Carribean’ bus was lots of fun too with Hugo’s ‘banging’ music blaring out as we drove through the towns with everyone waving to us. He was very knowledgeable about the islands history culture and nature and we learned a lot about the beautiful island we were visiting. Thank you

We got chocolate or vanilla wafers on the half day tour, but there were snack shops at most sites. You can also bring some snacks in your bag and leave your belongings on the bus while you roam around :)

No not a lot of walking but I guess it depends on what tour you do. We did the half day sightseeing it’s very nice he drops you off close to locations on the tour and you can basically do what you want for a certain time frame!
