About
Explore Aruba in your own off-road vehicle — a Jeep Wrangler — checking out natural landmarks, parks and other attractions that make up this arid island in the southern Caribbean. Then enjoy a waterfront lunch at Pelican Nest Seafood Grill. Round out your day of outdoor fun with a catamaran snorkeling cruise (if full-day option selected). Hotel transport is included.

What to expect
  • Set off over the rugged terrain of Aruba during a round-island off-road adventure, starting with hotel pickup. At the tour base, meet your guide for a safety briefing and hop into your selected vehicle; a Kia Sportage gets you behind the wheel if you wish, while a Jeep Wrangler pus you in the passenger seat while you leave driving duties to your experienced guide. Each vehicle holds a maximum of four people. Roaring along Aruba’s remote northern coast all the way down to the southern end, you’ll stop at numerous natural attractions, such as the rocky ruins of Natural Bridge, an eroded limestone formation that collapsed in 2005. View the California Lighthouse, the remnants of a 19th-century gold mine and Boca Mahos cove.  Bounce over back roads to Arikok National Park to observe the Amerindian petroglyphs of Guadirikiri Cave. When you reach Baby Beach at the island’s southern tip, dig your toes in the sand and marvel at the shallow, tranquil waters of the Caribbean Sea. Circling back to the northwestern coast to Pelican Pier, end the off-roading portion of your tour with lunch at the Pelican Nest Seafood Grill. Enjoy waterfront views as you dine on a lunch of chicken or fresh fish. If you’ve chosen the half-day tour, you’re taken back to your hotel.  If you’re on the full-day tour, board your catamaran for a snorkeling cruise and enjoy snacks and drinks at the open bar. Your expert crew ensures a laid-back ride, topped off by calming sea breezes. Use the provided snorkel gear to explore the tropical marine life at two locations — the Antilla shipwreck and Catalina Reef. Your tour comes to an end when you return to the pier with drop-off at your hotel.

We had a great time on this tour but there where a few things that I wish would have better. We where picked up from the hotel , they where timely which is great. We reached the main office to pick up our jeep. There was another couple with us that like us requested to drive their own car. We where told that we would be sharing a car instead and alternating driving. Part of the experience is actually getting to drive the jeep into the rocky roads of the park. No one was happy at that point and we pressed them to provide what we signed up for. The tour guide , James said that the jeep they had available had an up charge ! Not nice ! Eventually they did the right thing and we each had our jeep. We drove to the Arikok park and that was super beautiful. It was a fun ride and James made it entertaining during the stops. I am glad we did a tour because it is a huge area and the roads are rough. The natural pool was the highlight of the park for us, we took a dip and felt refreshed after driving around. Getting to the natural pool was a hike but well worth it. I recommend bringing a waterproof phone cover for pictures. After the park we dropped off jeeps and went for lunch at pelican pier. Beautiful restaurant right in the middle of the ocean. Food was better than expected for a tour. We did the full day so the catamaran tour was next. It was great , the staff of the boat was super friendly. Carlos was so nice and attentive. Snorkeling was fun. Drinks where watered down but they gladly adjusted if you said something. They offered chips and a wrap. It was just ok , chips where very stale. Overall it was a great time. Something I think they can improve is providing more water during the first half of the tour. They only had 1 water per person and it was extremely hot plus there is lots of physical activity during this tour. I do recommend this tour I just hope that they tweak the things I mentioned.

This excursion was super fun and I would recommend to anyone visiting this lovely island. The morning excursion is the only one that includes lunch so keep that in mind. You get to ride in a 4x4 with a/c and the guide made navigating the island enjoyable.

We did 4 tours during our week on the island and I consider this the tour we forgot about. There wasn't much to be said about the guide or the tour itself. To be honest, I was quite frustrated when I found out that I had to drive my family in the Jeep and follow another Jeep. I don't like to drive, but we didn't have a choice. Our guide was nice, but he came across as scripted and inattentive. We were also rushed throughout the tour. They tried to squeeze in 4 places in the tour and we had little to no time at each one. We were particularly excited for the cave pool and baby beach, but only had time for each kid to do a jump and only had 30 minutes at baby beach. If you want to see the things on this tour I would recommend just renting a car and going at your own pace. You can actually see the things you want to see and enjoy they at a much easier pace. And you are likely going to drive yourself anyway, so why not save on the cost...

Our jeep tour was amazing and the guide promptly picked us up on time we did not have to wait at all. Victor the guide was so knowledgeable about the history of Aruba it made the experience even more fun. He also took the time to make sure my daughter had a great time and was safe when she went to dive in the natural pool. The food was beyond what we expected . The restaurant was so good we returned a day later to enjoy more of the food . As far as the snorkeling portion I can't say how amazing everything was ! I couldn't dive but my daughter did and the grew was great at making sure she was comfortable and well taken care of while she was in the water.

We chose the guided tour and we got Victor… we had read reviews that had mentioned him, and I can see why! Victor was very kind, helpful and informative. He had great recommendations and was funny. We initially booked the half day tour and were able to easily change this via the website, it was a long day but it was so much fun! You don’t have a ton of time at each site, but that’s ok, because it’s pretty hot. The Jeep’s are air conditioned and there are periods of time when you can swim and cool off. The scenery is beautiful and you learn a lot about Aruba’s history, in a fun way! The stork king cruise was so much fun! You visit two sites and the crew is kind and fun! Definitely my favorite day since we’ve been in Aruba! A must do!

As this was our first time in Aruba we tried to get in as much fun as possible. We decided to take an Island tour followed by cruise through Pelican Adventures. We are so glad we did just that. Our Island tour was lead by Victor. He was such a nice man and very knowledgeable. The group consisted of only 7 people in two jeeps. My wife, friends and myself in one jeep and the other folks were with Victor. We had such a great time following Victor in our Jeep. After a wonderful lunch we boarded our catamaran for two hours on the water. The crew we had was terrific, such wonderful and friendly guys. I would highly recommend Pelican Adventures to anyone and would use them again when we return to Aruba.
