- phatREADS0 contributionsBest Dive Shop on Aruba, Really!Pure Diving Aruba is a really chill, fun outfit to dive with. You can tell they have a passion for what they do and they create a laid back, let's have fun but be safe out there vibe. I researched a lot of dive shops on island but chose Pure Diving Aruba because they were just honest, straightforward and easy going. I did 12 dives with them and can't wait to get back to Aruba to do more!Written September 21, 2024
- nolefan20170 contributionsGreatest Aruba experience with the greatest company!Best experience ever! We actually joined two more times after doing Discover Scuba and they are the reason we will pursue diving and return to Aruba. Alonso and Mona were so helpful and supportive as we became used to the diving. Our second and third dives were so much fun and we felt extremely safe. Steven was also a great help during our second two dives and very welcoming and fun. Marc was so responsive by email and a wonderful wealth of information! The experience with this company could not have been better! Wanna dive? Do it with them!Written August 23, 2024
- meganefc0 contributionsGreat for first timersIt was an amazing experience! The instructors were nice and patients with our group (of 3), we were all first timers. They explained all the safety tips, we practiced some exercises and then we were good to go around and see lots of fish. Unfortunately, we didn't see any turtles that day (you might get luckier in the morning) but lots of things to see anyway, great experience for beginners scuba divers.Written August 17, 2024
- GrandTour8235620 contributionsMORE THAN FIVE STARS!By far one of the best experiences. My son is 16 yr old, not certified and this was his first dive. Our instructor, Alezio (spelling?), was detailed, engaged and made the experience!! Will definitely schedule with Pure Diving Aruba and request Alezio if we return!Written July 30, 2024

- Venture408545451550 contributionsNice guys, but unorganizedIf I were rating the guys at pure diving based on their kindness, it would undoubtedly be a 5/5. But there were a few issues that we encountered with their procedures. 1. Their site advertises a limit of 6 divers, but we had 9 to 10 on the boat. Sometimes we all dove together, which made for a large group when you include divers and dive masters. The larger group dives were worthless, in our opinions. Sometimes they split the group in 2, which made for much more pleasant dives. 2. When the groups were split, we had to leave the water so the boat could go pick up the other group. That was unfortunate because we had 1500 left in our tanks, so we felt a little cheated having to abort the dive so early. I've never had this experience with any other dive shop. 3. We took a course from pure diving to add to our certifications. The course was bare minimum instruction. We plan to retake the course on our next dive trip so we can feel confident with the skill. 4. There were many divers taking different courses while we were there. They teach the courses to individual divers while traveling on the boat or during the break between dives. That worked out fine, but sometimes we were using our underwater time and air while waiting for someone to complete a skill for their course. When we have taken courses in other locations, the divemaster took the time to teach us individually. 5. We felt there was a lack of organization that sometimes caused confusion. There was 1 dive that was never given a briefing. 6. We are accustomed to concierge diving, which was not the case with Pure Diving. Everyone carried and assembled their own gear everyday. Overall, everything worked out and everyone was kind and friendly. But we would choose a different dive shop if returning to Aruba.Written April 21, 2024
- matthewgU3033MQ0 contributionsLorenzo!!Lorenzo was the best!! Very good experience for first time introduction with young swimmers wanting the scuba experience. (My13yr old son). The actual in water time was about 45 mins. Class room time around 30 mins, familiarization in water about 15 mins. Instructor (Lorenzo) was very focused on the safety of the student and the experience. Overall great value!!!Written April 4, 2024

- L8737SQrobinw0 contributionsJust say no, SAFETY ISSUEI am going to make this as short and to the point as possible by just listing my issues. 1. When I was unable to reach the person (we are a on a cruide) who put this together I started emailing 2 days before the dive and didn't hear back. I did not put the dive together and did not have access to the information shared with them. Even in my original emails that shared my credit card information, I asked for details ( two weeks ago) and was not answered, so communication is really bad. On top of that, the owner made a snide remark about how my last email (mind you out of 5 email/whatsapp/ messages over two days) stating she doesn't answer anything after 6:30 pm. Well she didn't answer any of them, at all, even the next day. 2. Now lets talk about safety issues. I was diving with a new diver, I had to ask for her to have her gear checked. Nothing was ready, nothing was put together by the staff. Nothing. The gear provided, did not have depth gauges! Yes, you read this correctly. I was so worried on the first dive for my friend because she had no way of knowing how deep she was. They did not offer dive computers or have them either. So, on the 2nd dive I gave my dive watch to my friend and asked the dive master stay close to her, stayed on the boat and skipped the 2nd tank. Upon docking, the wash bins were not ready or filled. It was a small mess of people standing around trying to figure stuff out. When settling my tab, I let the owner know I only dived one tank. She insisted on charging me for two, stating that I had signed up for two. I did not. In fact the only request I made besides meeting details (which I never got) was for nitrox. They did not provide this, with no explanation. So three of our group dived regular. One person had their own equipment but had a mechanical issue, a big leak. He had to use it anyway do to the fact that they did not have any depth gauges. Anyway, I do not recommend this company for the reasons stated above. If you do decide to dive with then regardless of these issues, note, bring a sandwich, they only offer a few pieces of fruit, bring some cold water, they offer tap water that is warm. Have a depth gauge with you or a dive watch. Dive masters were cool, the captain was great.Written March 4, 2024
- Melissa P0 contributionsWhat an advenventure, not to be missed!Alonso was an excellent instructor. He made us feel safe and comfortable the entire time. He made sure we felt confident and were educated before we got started. What an amazing time! And we saw a variety of fish and a sea turtle. Definitely a personalized experience. Recommend 10/10!Written February 21, 2024
- 247greggk0 contributionsPure Diving Aruba = Pure Joy!Pure Diving Aruba was a fantastic experience! I did 4 dives with them over 2 days. The rental equipment was excellent, staff was very friendly, professional, and safety conscience, and diving was very personalized with just 3-4 divers per instructor. I have my PADI AOW cert but still a novice with 10-15 dives. I knew I was in good hands when I met other local and tourist divers with 700+ dives that have been diving with PDA for years! This was my first time to Aruba, we dove 4 locations on Southwest of airport within 30 min boat ride from the dock. Average depths about 50’ (max 125’) and visibility was great - 60+ feet. We saw several green moray eels, spiny lobster, abundant colorful fish, and swam thru airplane wrecks. I’ll definitely dive with them again! Thanks PDA!Written February 9, 2024
- crogers1960 contributionsLook forward to seeing you guys next year!Steven and his crew make the process simple and enjoyable. From checking in and getting your gear, to hanging out in their tropical hideaway, the experience is relaxing with no stress. All are professional dive masters (also very funny) who know the area well, and how to manage the dives so that you can literally drift along. Second dive was to the airplane wrecks, which was amazing. No shortage of reef beauty to see as well. The Jane C wreck is next!Written February 7, 2024
