- Eli2150 contributionsGreat Excursion horrible Surprise. Book this local Avoid TripAdvisor!!I recently went on a snorkeling excursion that included an open bar and lunch, and while the experience itself was fantastic, it ended on a sour note. The trip started off wonderfully with beautiful underwater sights, a well-stocked open bar, and a delicious lunch that made the day truly special. However, the joy quickly turned to frustration when I discovered that I had been double booked. Despite paying $350for this excursion, I was charged for another trip &445 that I never even went on. Dealing with this issue has been a hassle, and I'm currently in the process of resolving it with my credit card company. This unfortunate experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I can confidently say I will never book through this provider again. For anyone planning a similar trip, I highly recommend booking directly on the island. Not only is it usually cheaper, but it also seems to be more reliable. Avoid the headache and save yourself some money by arranging your excursions locally.Written July 27, 2024

The snorkeling stops were awesome, the ship wreck was so amazing to see. Saw tons of different and colorful fish. My daughter and I saw sea turtles and we were so excited. We had a great time jumping off the boat and the rope swing. I highly recommend this tour.Written July 14, 2024
- michellewO3654PU0 contributionsSaiaway tours Aruba not worth the $$$The crew was very friendly. The problem was The whole reason that we booked this tour was to see the sunken ships snorkel. They were unable to hook to the anchor, and it took them so long of trying that by the time they decided to move onto the next spot, it cut into about an hour and a half of time. we moved onto the next spot which had no snorkeling available at all. It was more like a swimming hole. We moved onto the spot which actually had decent snorkeling because of so much wasted time it was cut so short we barely had time to do the rope swing . Made it even worse, was looking at this sunken ship area and seeing so many other tour boats there and ours couldn’t even dock. There was 8 of us so it made for a very Expensive afternoon, and the snorkeling was no better than we did ourselves at the beaches. Look for a Different company. - mightygeo0 contributionsSmooth boat ride with plenty of shade, snorkeling, and cocktailsGreat boat ride to 3 snorkeling locations. The boat had plenty of shade and at last stop they let you use rope swing and provide a lunch. (Let them know before boarding if you need vegetarian meal). They have open bar and music. They also provide transportation if you contact them. My family loved it- the snorkeling was amazing (shipwrecks, turtles, fish, coral). Cocktails on smooth boat ride in shade- so nice. Swing was fun too. I highly recommend this tour- you will not regret itWritten May 21, 2024

We have gone on this boat in previous years and loved the trip, but this year the boat was totally oversold and thus the average rating. We were told that the boat carried 45 people, others said the same thing, some said that they were told that the boat carried just 40 people. There were between 82 and 85, plus crew. This made for a very crowded trip--but wasn't that bad until we got to the snorkeling locations. There was just one ladder back onto the boat (you could jump off), so they called everyone back just a few minutes after arriving at each location as they needed time for everyone to get back on board. The food was good, but the line was really long and we were almost back before we were able to eat. The sails were never raised, the boat was under motor the entire time. It seems that there was a lot of promising to the guests, but them the crew just tried to do their best with a really large passenger group.

Had a horrible time. The pictures look nothing like our excursion. The boat was so crowded, wasn’t enough seats for everyone. It was delayed over an hour, we had to wait longer because they couldn’t shuttle everyone in one boat. By the time I got into the water to snorkel, they wanted us to come back. Water was dark and you couldn’t see anything anyways. The last place is where you do the robe swing and they only let a few people do it before we had to leave. Bring your own snacks, the only thing they provided was one large barrel of crackers that everyone sticks their hands in. The drinks were awful, they only serve their “speciality drinks” (no beer/wine) which tastes like cool-aid and vodka. There were so many people on the boat that I waited over 15mins to get a little cup.
I’m surprised at these reviews because everyone had a bad time, everyone was in a grumpy mood which made everything worse.

5+ Stars!!! If you are thinking about a sunset sail cruise, why not add afternoon snorkel excursion along with? The price of $69 a person is a deal!!! There were only 13 people on this HUGE sailboat, plenty of room to move about. We got to stop and snorkel at 3 different locations. We were out on the water to watch the beautiful sunset. My husband and I were sitting in the nets up front that hang over the water, while enjoying our sunset mimosa.
The crew was all extremely helpful, nice, friendly. Daniel was our bartender and MC for the evening. I can’t remember the captain’s name, but he was very knowledgeable and we enjoyed talking to him very much.
Again the price, we feel, was a great deal. Very well worth it.

We had a wonderful time on the Lady Black with the crew, and Danny the "toilet manager" was fun, funny, and made for a great time. We saw turtles and tons of fish and many guests enjoyed the rope swing. The sunset at the end of the trip was great (I know no one can control the weather) and we were given plenty of opportunity to take in the views. We would definitely recommend this adventure to anyone looking to snorkel, see lots of fishies, enjoy a beautiful sunset, and have a few drinks with a fun bunch of locals and tourists alike.

The crew was Top Notch. It really seemed like they enjoy what they do and that showed with quality of the tour. They were on time, attentive, answered questions and really tried to make sure you enjoyed it.
Plenty of open areas on the boat to explore and layout.
You never travel too far between stops, and you get a good variety of snorkeling. The Sunset was perfect from the deck of the boat and we got some photos that we'll look back on forever.

Amazing time with a super fun crew on the Jolly Pirates Cruise. Great value as well with snorkeling, free booze, swinging off a rope from the ship, light appetizers and then dancing like crazy on the deck as the ship came in to any music we wanted. Every one of our crew of 10 had a blast and gave it 5 stars!

Nice boat. Not luxurious, but things are in good shape, and for this price you wouldn't expect it to be luxurious. Less crowded and less cheesy than many of the other snorkel tour boats. The crew is informal, and their humor is funny to some but falls a bit flat with others. The crewman R.J. is a bit too forward with some lady passengers, so be forewarned if you are likely to be offended. Probably just his personality, but I'd say he could tone it down a bit. The drinks are included and decent. The food is fruit and pastry snacks. Two snorkeling stops during our sunset cruise: ship wreck and then another spot near the rocky shore. After snorkeling there is a long period of passengers lining up to jump from the upper deck into the water, and then rope swing into the water. It concludes with a sunset ride back to the starting point. Loud music plays while the ship sails. An eclectic mix of dance, pop, and other genres spanning decades. If you happen to ride with a party-inclined group of passengers, this turns into a party boat. If most passengers are mild mannered, then it might be more subdued. Probably most trips have party-inclined passengers though. For the price, a fun experience with some snorkeling, some diving and rope swinging, some drinking and snacking, good views, and general fun.

We booked this excursion a few months prior to us coming to Aruba in 2016. We got bumped off the boat even though we were the first people to check in and waited for an hour before we realized they were loading the boat and taking off without us. Without saying one word to us. As if that was not horrible enough, the owner of the company's wife gave us a Gift Certificate with no limitations that is good for two years. It expires 05/04/2020. Tried to use it and they tell us no because they now have a contract with Carnival.

My niece and I had an amazing time. The tour coordinator let them know that it was my niece's 18th birthday so the driver of the shuttle boat called her up to drive the boat out to our ship. On the way back he had everyone sing happy birthday to her. The boat was beautiful. The crew were friendly and fun. I think their names were Glen, John, and OC? They took really good care of us. The model-esque Glen even dove in and swam all over to find the shipwreck for us when us snorkelers couldn't find it. We stopped for snorkeling 3 times and all were lots of fun and cool things to see. They made fun drinks for my niece for her birthday and also yummy virgin drinks for me since I'm pregnant. When they were handing out the lunch and I said I was vegetarian, they even somehow magically made a vegetarian sandwich appear! I would have just continued eating fruit because I know it was my fault for not notifying them in advance. We enjoyed some dancing as well! My niece and I both really enjoyed every bit of the tour and the hospitality, and will definitely do it again if we are ever back in Aruba. Thank you!

We decided on this tour because we could get snorkeling and a sunset cruise in one trip. We had a great time and enjoyed ourselves-got to see the shipwreck and lots of sea turtles. I would not recommend this for first time snorkelers-the water at the first stop (the shipwreck) was quite choppy and would be challenging for anyone who is not a good swimmer or has not snorkeled before. We were pretty much handed the snorkel equipment and were on our own after that. The second stop was calmer, but we had to swim quite a way to get to the area where the sea turtles were. We were told that we really didn't need life vests for this area because it was calm and shallow, but I took one anyway and was glad I did. We were never in water that was shallow enough to stand. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves but I would definitely only recommend this tour for people who have snorkeled before.
