At MooMba beach, board your teak “pirate ship” and sail away from Aruba's picturesque coast, taking in the sights from the deck. Set sail for the first of your three snorkel stops, Malmok; its shallow, calm waters are great for beginners. Prior to jumping in, you get fitted with a mask, flippers, and snorkel by your experienced crew. The next stop is Boca Catalina, with similar conditions and tropical fish such as grouper, parrot fish, angelfish, and yellow-striped grunts. The day’s finale is the shipwreck of the SS Antilla, a German ship sunk during WWII. Paddle around the hulking ship and see the local marine life that has made the ship its underwater home. Back on board, refuel with a barbecue lunch and drinks from the open bar. Take a turn on the rope swing or simply lounge in the sun on the way back to MooMba beach.

We had a great time with the Jolly Pirates cruise! The ship staff were lovely and joyful guys who really go the extra distance to make sure everyone has fun and stays safe. I finally was able to see a sea turtle this trip, which was my main goal! It was also hilarious to watch people do the rope swing, I couldn't because of a bum shoulder. I knew there was a "bbq lunch" listed and thought maybe there'd be a simple snacking buffet laid out, but I was stunned when they started ferrying full meals over to the boat and out to all the guests. The giant chicken leg, rice, and cole slaw was DELICIOUS!

I would like to see them make an investment to upgrade the very basic snorkel to one of the new ones that prevents backflow of sea water into the mouthpiece. I'm a seasoned snorkeler and struggled with only being able to be face down in the water for more than a few seconds at a time before needing to flip over to clear the mouthpiece because of choppy water splashing in.

Really fun day on the Jolly Pirates cruise. We went snorkelling, stopping at three different stops, we drunk, eat and dance. The crew is nice and the vibe is cool. I would recommend it especially for young people (or families with quite grown up kids). The stop at the Antilla shipwreck is really impressive, you don't wanna miss that.

Do not miss this cruise when you are in Aruba! Our crew-members, Johnny, Jose and others were entertaining, helpful and very professional. The Bar-b-cue lunch served was delicious and the snorkeling sites unbelievable. The kicker is the rope swing into the water!!

At our first stop, more of an open water site above the shipwreck, a patron from another bigger ship that was anchored next to us panicked in the water and was yelling for help. Our crew lined the side of the boat as Johnny jumped in with lifeguard skills, calmed the swimmer and got him back to the other boat. Jose tossed Johnny some fins and our other crew members made sure the situation was defused. We never saw another crew member from the other, bigger ship the entire time our crew got the swimmer back to the big Cat safely.

Safe, entertaining and the mist fun you will have in Aruba, do not miss it!!

We would never have taken this tour with teenagers, if it hadn't been recommended by friends. THANK GOODNESS they recommended it! This was one of the best experiences we had in Aruba. The organization, staff, and equipment was high quality - and it was very reasonable priced for what it offers. After sailing and snorkeling the shipwreck, we went to two additional snorkel spots that were beautiful. We spent 30 minutes in the water with sea turtles!! 2 of our 5 family members were a bit uncomfortable at first with the snorkeling, but got comfortable quickly and were amazed by what we saw underwater. The lunch was surprisingly fantastic and the music, drinks, swing off the boat, and fun vibe made the whole thing light-hearted and fun. Even after 4 hours on board, we were all bummed when we had to go back on shore! If you have any hesitation, there's no need. There were young kids, families with teens, and even older couples. Everyone had a blast! Book it!

We went out on the morning cruise today (4/12) The crew on this boat was absolutely phenomenal. They were kind, fun, helpful, and very accommodating. There was music, drinks, a delicious lunch to go with the adventure. We were able to snorkel in 3 different spots. The first stop was at Antilla where we were able to see a sunk ship from WWII. The second stop we saw amazing coral and schools or fish that swam closely. At the third stop, we saw turtles. They were huge and graceful. The cruise sat there and the guests got to do the Tarzan rope. It was fun for my teen daughters as well as myself (an over 40 adult) We ate lunch and then headed back to Mooba Beach. This was an unforgettable experience and a one of a kind experience. Thanks to Jose, Johnny, and our Capitán for the enjoyable day.

When they loaded us all onto the ship with very little room to sit down, I was concerned I’d made the wrong choice. But as we got moving, people relaxed and spread out, the music started playing and the beautiful scenery of Aruba surrounded us as we made our way to the first stop: the Antilla shipwreck. I had never seen a submerged shipwreck and I was amazed how much you could see snorkeling at the surface. The water was clear and we could see all the way down to the finer details of the wreck. Lots of fish, but the ship was interesting to look at in itself. The second stop was Boca Catalina and I got really disoriented at this stop because you have to swim quite a ways from the ship to get to the snorkeling. The current was carrying me away and I swam to the other Jolly Pirates ship that had arrived after ours before realizing my mistake. It was not the best. The third stop was a sea turtle nesting area and we saw several turtles swimming only a few feet away from us. Very relaxing and so fun to watch. Once we returned to the ship, the party really began with the drinks flowing and everyone trying the rope swing. Even my husband who hates open water couldn’t resist that rope swing. Oh, and lunch was also delicious and very filling. Overall a great excursion. Highl recommend.

The morning sail was perfect! The tour guides were fun, made you laugh, and truly enjoy yourself. It was definitely safe, and you felt like they were always watching out for you. It was rough waters the day that we went with a lot of wind and chop, so it was tough to see and do the sunken ship wreck, but they had a guide in the water looking out for anyone having a hard time. The reset of the snorkling adventures were calm and we saw a ton of great fish and sea turtles! They definitely left enough time at each location to do what you had to do. The rope swing was fantastic, and it was especially great because they made everyone feel welcomed to do it. Some people fell right away and others tried back flips (usually flops) but everyone had fun! The lunch was pretty good for what you would expect and they kept the open bar flowing with alcohol all morning! Will definitely be doing this again and recommending to friends.

We did the morning tour, with 3 stops and a lunch.

The overall experience was fantastic. Our captain was fun, personable, and clearly experienced. The boat is professionally kept, and clearly takes their organization and safety onboard seriously, which was a relief to see.

We did not realize it was open bar, so that was a huge plus. The pirate poison does not play around, nothing that strong should taste that good.

The stops themselves were super cool. A wreck, a reef, and sea turtles! We happened to be there in the turtle mating season, and saw more than a handful of them.

I admire and respect that the captain emphasizes not touching the turtles or interfering with them in any way, we love to see a business respecting marine life.

The rope swing is super fun, try a backflip. You'll also see the crew do some crazy acrobatics.

Food: I had the vegetarian option, my fiance had the vegan option. Both were great, if not a tad simple. Lots of carbs to make sure you have a fighting chance against the open bar.

A secret tip: The pick up location is infront of "moomba bar". Come back at 6pm for a happy hour, and live music from 7-9pm. It was a good time!

To all the crew, thank you for such a wonderful experience. We enjoyed ourselves immensely on your tour, and look forward to sailing with you again next time!

Don’t be fooled. This is not an excursion for families unless your all alcoholics. This is a glorified booze cruise… snorkeling is done on a timer and you are rushed in and out of the water. We were told the 9 am would be appropriate for kids and the snorkeling spots were good so we went for it. We were totally disappointed. Trapped on a party boat for 4 hours with thumping bass and 70 drunks. The open bar gets rolling at 9am and our group of mostly Americans acted like it was their first time in a Limo. I’m surprised there haven’t been more accidents with drunk people trying to swim and snorkel because the drinks they were serving were stiff and people were bombed before 10:30 a.m.. my boys saw groping, vajayjays, grinding and drunkenness all before lunch. That’s totally fine if that’s what this excursion is but don’t sell it as appropriate to families with small children. A learning experience for us for sure. The staff was attentive and the boat was clean.

We rented the whole boat as an activity for our guests before our wedding. The Jolly Pirates was a perfect addition to a destination wedding! It gave us so much casual time with all our guests who had traveled so far. Everyone had a great time snorkeling, jumping off the rope swing, and dancing to the playlist we made!

Carla made it so easy to organize around our various food preferences/restrictions, and order alcohol beyond the standard rum punch. We loved the crew's antics and very corny jokes. The Jolly Pirates is a must-do for any Aruban visit and I fully recommend organizing an event with them if it fits your budget!

Our boat was mostly young adults, but we had several older attendees and even 5 young children - absolutely everyone had a blast
