The introduction to the ride was great, the main guide was hilarious but also emphasized safety and explained the basics of how to ride. My fiancé and I both ride and we were impressed with how he explained how to ride. The route was beautiful, the natural pool was stunning and the ride was very comfortable but also challenging at times with the elevation (in a good way though!) Since we both have experience we were able to canter/hand gallop on the route and it was an incredible experience. 1000/10 would recommend this ranch for your trail riding experience on Aruba. Shoutout to Pico and Apollo for being such reliable mounts!

This excursion is what made my Aruba trip the most special. Patrick and his crew are phenomenal - this would've been my 3rd time riding a horse but believe it or not its still intimidating being on top of a moving horse BUT Patrick and his crew made everyone feel the safest and assured us that all is well. Couple minutes into the ride I didn't mind at all how fast the horses were going in fact I loved it. I felt like I was in a movie. The views from way up were breath taking and having been on the edge of Aruba is a one of a kind memory. BOOK TODAY !

This horse back riding tour was absolutely incredible. The guides were amazing, the horses were amazing and the view was to die for. You get to walk/trot/canter and really enjoy getting to know your horse’s personality. My horse Santorian was wonderful and I would highly recommend this tour if you love riding or want to have an adventure you will never forget!!

My husband thought we just “had to” ride horses to the natural pool along the east coast of southern Aruba! This is something (riding horses) we had not done in decades but…ok. The staff was very careful with pairing the right rider with the right horse…oh thank goodness! The horses were beautiful! We were given excellent direction on how to bond with horse, maintain control etc. They had 3 employees riding with us…up and down the line to make sure everything was ok with rider and horses. It was 7.5 miles r/t and our horses galloped up the hill both sides…very scary and exciting! At the rugged, dry coast the natural pool was closed to swimmer because so rough/dangerous so though we were disappointed, we understood.

An absolute must do activity. The horses were very well trained and knew exactly how to handle beginner riders. The experience was a great introduction to horseback riding, and you'll get to canter and gallop! The guide has over 40 years of horseback riding experience and answered questions well. We went to the natural pool during high tide, so it was a little rough, but the sunset view on the return was marvelous. Water shoes recommended! I even lost my sunglasses on the trip and the owners returned them to my resort free of charge.
Some tips to future guests based on some odd behavior in my group: understand that you are a guest on someone's property. Rules may seem strict to you but they are there for safety reasons to both you and the horses/environment. The owners have dogs on the property but they were very kind and showed no aggression. The guide will interact with you to gauge your personality so that you can be matched with a horse. Everything was conducted professionally and I learned a lot. Hope you enjoy it too!

I enjoyed the ride to and back from the natural pool and the dip in the pool; but be warned it is 2 hours of riding and if you don’t ride on a regular basis you will be feeling it the next few days. I especially liked that the horses were trotting and even cantering at times not just walking. One small improvement would be if we stopped at certain points to take a few pictures especially of the Aruba rock formation

I agree with the last reviewer about the level of danger
I booked this based on previous reviews, when I arrived (I was having second thoughts) when the owner said helemts were not required as in his words "you didnt wear a helmet on the airplane"
Dont get me wrong in these days of snowflakes, nany states and where theres a blame theres a claim i did think it was quite refreshing
But as soon as we started going up the hilly part I started to think about the saftey of my guest (after all i recommended this trip to 3 others with myself ) could you imagine if one fell off
The horses have done this route a thousand times, but it is incredibly rocky in parts and I was feeling sorry for the horses in parts
I think the helemts should be mandatory if im honest, they are quick enough to get you to sign a discalimer, so why not tell customers helemts are needed. . . also it was boiling in the sun and a helemt would help keep the sun off your head
Would I do again (probably not)
am I glad we did it (Yes)

We went as a group of 9 with ages ranging from 13 to 50 and everyone loved it. Our cowboys were both excellent instructors and companions along the way and made us feel safe while having fun. We all highly recommend this unique, fun, and gorgeous tour of the east side of the island.

We had a fantastic time on this tour and would highly recommend anyone looking to visit the Natural Pool to consider this tour. The horses are well-trained and very gentle/patient. Backpacks are not allowed so make sure your belongings you will be bringing can fit in a saddle bag. The rocks at Natural Pool are slippery so I recommend bringing some water shoes to move around more safely. The staff was lovely and were passionate about their horses. Would absolutely go again!

The guides and horses and trail alone would have earned it 5 stars.
Our issue was the worker from Florida in the beginning of the tour who fat shames and singles out the heavier people in front of everyone asking them if they exceed 225 pounds. It is written on the website that the weight limit is 225 and you need to fill out your weight before on the form when booking. After telling her I did not exceed 225 pounds she challenged me and threatened to put me on a scale. Meanwhile ignoring the man in the group who weighs more than me. Then tried to scare me saying I need to be a more experienced rider and know how to control a horse. So should the weight criteria say if you are 160 pounds or over you must be an experienced rider? If she is so worried about people lying about their weight they should just weigh everyone upon arrival and not single people out. There should be a warning that if you are female and 160 pounds or over you will be singled out and challenged.
Otherwise, besides fat shamer, everyone else was lovely and would have earned 5 stars should she have not been so full of herself.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Let me start by saying the person who spoke to you was not a “worker” but the owner of the ranch. That being said my main concern is for your safety and the safety of my horses. Our horses are Paso Fino and smaller than quarter horses in the states so we have a weight limit in place. You misstated what happened. When I spoke to you the other guests had not arrived to the ranch yet so I did not single you out in front of everyone. I sat next to you and had a private conversation asking your weight as we have a weight limit. This not only applies to overweight people but anyone over 225lbs. - we have on occasion disallow tall muscular men because they weigh too much. You are correct that it is stated on the website however, our experience is a lot of people do not read it and some who do do not take it seriously. I also did not weigh you. Again, my main concern is for your safety. You state we should weigh everyone however weighing people who are clearly below the weight limit would be a waste of everyone’s time. Furthermore, when we have needed to resort to weighing people we have done it discreetly where no one else sees it.

You spend approximately half an hour at the natural pool. Keep in mind that it's optional so if you don't want to go swimming you're more than welcome to simply hang around and talk to one of the guides or something else.

Sorry for the late response but I agree I would not recommend for 5 year old because of the steepness of some of the mountains the horses will climb. For teenagers and adults absolutely!
