Weather was an issue, and I know yall can't help that, but we ended up leaving an area when, had we stayed for 5 minutes or so, the rain would have passed. Also, would have like more info about lunch. It did say not included, but it was not explained that we would have time to actually have lunch, which would have been helpful...perhaps lunch at your own cost instead of not included would be more descriptive. He also did very little narration while driving, which would have made the 6 hour driving trip a bit more interesting.Written April 22, 2024

Our first time driving around the island… bumpy doesn’t begin to describe it. You go to the opposite side of the island for brief sightseeing… 30-45min. Hard rain made the trip to Devils Bridge a waste of time.. unfortunately. Back in the can for a long ride to Dock Harbor.. where we walked around looking at boats… had a $8 Beer., This was a $135 pp trip… Left unfulfilled to be honest. Driver was nice… My recommendation… take a catamaran ride or go to the beach.Written April 20, 2024

Our guide Marvin was awesome - knowledgeable, friendly, engaging and made us feel like family. We saw Betty's Hope Plantation, Devil's Bridge, Shirley Heights (The Blockhouse and Lookout views), Nelson's Dockyard, and driving through various parts of the island. The local rum and black pineapple were delicious. It was a great way to see all of Antigua!! Communications by email were prompt and booking was semi smooth. We had a slight hiccup with a children's price and then ended up booking/paying the full tour amount instead of 50% deposit like the website says. No problem, just something to be aware of. We'd absolutely use Antigua VIP Tours again!Written July 24, 2023

We just got back from a five hour trip with a kick-ass tour guide who was very informative about the island, as well as charming, good hearted and kind. We traveled in her comfortable, air-conditioned van, and saw all the main sites. In between, she continued to educate us about the history and beautiful people of Antigua. I recommend this tour for anybody interested in the history and culture of the island, especially those who would like a semi private event (we were with one other couple).Written April 6, 2023

Richard our driver was very friendly, knowledgable and a very good driver avoiding the masses of potholes along the route. He told us a lot about the island without being overly chatty giving us enough time to digest what we had seen and been told. We had enough time at the different locations we were taken to and for lunch he took us to a genuine little Antiguan cafe where we had a delicious meal. The vehicle we travelled in was immaculately clean, very comfy and air conditioned. We would 100% recommend this way to see the sites of the island and when you take into account the length of the trip, the comfort of the vehicle, the driver, entrance to sites and lunch all included in the price it is extremely good value for money

Thank you, thank you to Tony, our tour guide.
We had a 5 hour private tour and were lucky enough to get Tony.
He was very knowledgeable about the island and it's history but more importantly, he was easy to talk to with a sense of humor.
We went to Nelsons Dockyard, Devils Bridge, Shirley Heights and to the Cultural Center for a very informative short film
He took us to a local restaurant where we had authentic Antigua dishes, included in the price.
You will not be sorry if you book this tour to learn about this beautiful island and the wonderful people who call it home.
Leave your comfort zone and leave the resort to learn about this lovely place and it's people.
You will e happy you did, especially if you are lucky enough to get Tony

An excellent day trip and a great way to see the main sites in Antigua. Our guide Rob was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative and arrived promptly at our hotel to pick us up.
The tour lasted about 6 hours and included a great lunch at Shirley’s Heights and there were plenty of beverages available throughout the day, including a delicious rum punch.
Due to the weather forecast we decided to bring forward our trip by a day and this was easily rearranged.
It was lo lovely to have the opportunity to see all parts of the island and we would highly recommend it to other visitors.
Thank you Rob for making it a special day.

Initially the time we wanted was taken, so the company contacted us to offer different times. After choosing one they double checked the time/place and told us to pack for whatever we wanted to do.
The day of the trip the guide (Tony) was waiting for us early and asked us what we wanted to do to make sure we scheduled accordingly.
First of all I have to say Tony is VERY knowledgeable about the island and the history which prompted us to perform a quick visit to the museum as he was giving us history all the way and a few jokes too.
He went out of his way for us and first we arrived to the market area where we got the elusive black pineapple, gooseberries and tamarind too. We also entered a small shop to taste Beef Patties and Jerk Chicken Patties which were delicious. This was besides the museum which is close by.
Afterwards we chose a few things from the normal schedule. We were in awe with the views and the beaches, simply breathtaking. He knew the good spots for pictures, so we have a lot of great pictures for the future.
Last but not least the Devil’s Bridge is breathtaking. You actually feel the water spray on you and the water is really aggressive. Great to have your own pictures of this.
Nobody knows a place like a local, thus this tour was worth every cent.
10/10 will tour with them again.

We just returned to our ship on Christmas Day after a day tour with Terry of Antigua VIP Tours - Private Platinum Tour. In a word Terry is AMAZING! He is very knowledgeable and quite the island historian. We would just love to have a guide like him on every private tour. We have traveled to over 100 countries, toured with numerous private VIP drivers and we must say Terry is world-class. Our lunch at Shirley’s Landing was delicious. Terry was mindful of the time and managed it very effectively as we really got a good feel of the beauty of the island. The van was comfortable and Terry treated us with the courtesy of royalty. He took us to his favorite hide away beaches. It was very special to see how he cared for his fellow Antiguan by hailing them on Christmas Day. We even had the opportunity to meet his son whom he clearly loves so much. What a kind and loving man. Do yourself a favor and go with this tremendous company it is worth every dime! We felt heaven shining down on us this Christmas 2022 as we got the gift of the best tour guide and tour company in Antigua. Finally, Terry’s great wit and keen sense of humor kept us laughing the entire time a gift we shall cherish for a very very long time. Thanks Terry you are truly THE BEST.

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Antigua, where we celebrated my 40th birthday. One of our favorite parts of the trip was the afternoon we spent touring the island with Shawn. The Antigua VIP private platinum tour offers a customizable experience, with stops along the way at popular sites with gorgeous views. This included Betty’s Hope, Devils Bridge, Nelson’s Dockyard, The Blockhouse, and Shirley Heights. I am a huge animal lover, and requested an additional stop at the Antigua Humane Society and Donkey Sanctuary, which Shawn was more than happy to include. The sanctuary really warmed my heart, and I was delighted to see how well the animals here are cared for. We also stopped for a delicious lunch about midway through our tour and got to sample some of the local flavors of the island. The vegetable roti was one of my best meals of the entire trip- savory and flavorful. My husband also loved his fungee and said it was his favorite meal. Throughout the afternoon, Shawn encouraged us to ask questions (any and all!) and happily shared his knowledge and love of Antigua with us. He is a genuine, warm, knowledgeable, and fun tour guide and was truly a delight to spend the afternoon with. We ended the day with rum punch and black pineapple, both of which were a real treat!! I highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Antigua! It’s a great way to experience the island. Thanks again so much for the hospitality!

We had another wonderful experience with Antigua VIP Tours and specifically Sean. I used this company back in 2019 on our first trip to the island on a cruise. We had Sean as our guide and he made us fall in love with Antigua. We were headed back on another cruise in July and I just knew I had to rebook with this company and with Sean specifically. I was able to email after I had booked the tour and they said Sean was available and that we would be assigned to us and we were so excited to see him the day we arrived. This island is our favorite in the Caribbean and honestly I think that is in part to Sean and this tour company. They will literally make this tour anything that you want it to be and customize it to your wants and needs. We saw a few repeats from our last trip that we wanted to experience again (Devils Bridge, Shirley Heights) and then Sean took us to the most amazing beach so that we could have some swimming time. Sean is the most personable, fun and amazing guide we have had on any tour in the islands. He really is the reason that we keep booking with the same company each time we return. We can't praise him or Antigua VIP Tours enough. Book with them! You will not be disappointed! Thanks Sean for another amazing day on your island! Hope to see you again soon!

We hired Antiqua VIP tours on a recent trip. Sean was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and took my wife and I all over the island. Sean picked us up near the cruise dock. He was able to time the time most of our tour to beat out the regular bus tours so that when we went to the sights there was not a huge crowd. We first went thru St Johns and then we crossed the island to the old British Navy base and Shirley heights. We also went to Dickenson beach, which unfortunately was very crowded. However Sean took us to nearby Fort James beach which wasn't and we stayed there for a few hours drinking rum punch and swimming. It was very nice. We recommend Sean & Antiqua.

An extended family group went on this tour. Overall, the tour was nice, but the driver was a little fast/aggressive - which to be fair, seemed to be typical for the island. The van was adequate, but not overly spacious for 7 passengers. It would have been appreciated if the van had a stool for helping folks in and out who needed extra assistance. The included lunch was good. In general, compared to several other tours this same week in the Caribbean (Dominica and St. Kitts), this tour was literally over 3 times the price of the other tours, and was our least favorite of the bunch. It was perfectly fine, but it did not feel "platinum."

We sincerely apologize if the driving style felt a bit too fast or aggressive for your liking. Our drivers aim to ensure a smooth and efficient experience, but we will take your feedback into account to ensure that we prioritize comfort and safety.
Regarding the van's size, we appreciate your input. We use a ten seater van for your group of seven and regret that you felt the space was not enough. However, we are continuously working to improve the experience. We usually have a stool for extra assistance when entering and exiting but as this van was new to our fleet we are in the process of having one made - thank you for pointing that out.
We are also grateful for your positive remarks about the included lunch and the overall experience. We understand that you had high expectations given the cost, and we will take your feedback into consideration as we review our offerings to ensure that we are providing the best value and experience for our guests.

Hello! I am looking at the Private Full Day All Inclusive Tour....there is a note under the "Inclusions" section that says "Small Group Tour." Does that mean it's not actually a true private tour? And, I see lunch IS NOT included either? Is the $150 per person? Lastly, do you pick up from the Sandals resort? Thank you! Allison
