        Highlight of the trip.
Booked “Buggy Adventure “ through NCL cruise. Driver from port to excursion was awesome, private clean car and was super friendly. The buggies we drove looked brand new, and shiny… but not for long. It had been raining so the trail was so much fun / wet. Stopped at a nice beach , wife drive second half and loved it.

        TOO MuDDy!!!!!
!!AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! I've done UTV/ATV/Buggies in 8 different countries and never gotten this muddy . 1. Visited in December 2024 on a honeymoon trip. 2. Roundtrip fare was not included in the price, but the 268 team arranged transportation from Sandals for an additional charge. EASY!! 3. Tour guides Joel and Justin were great and communication with Joel when booking was concise and easily understandable.

A great time riding with Joel and his buggy crew!
Joel and his team provide an excellent experience and take you through a variety of terrains and views. Whether you are experienced or a novice you will enjoy the buggy ride! A must do while here in Antigua.

        Mud buggy adventure
Overall had a great time getting muddy and driving through the backroads (and sometimes main streets) of Antigua. Great activity for a family with young adult children. Equipment is likely very challenging to maintain, so our tour did experience some mechanical issues (2 buggies broke down but both issues were accommodated with the guests), but it did cost our tour the time at the beach, which was cut short. But had a great time otherwise and a great option outside the beautiful water of Antigua.

The worst guides of which one was the Owner. Stayed on their phones in buggy, no "tour info", Not worth the extra $$
First, I don't complain or go out of my way for or spend time unless I'm very compelled to share the level of disappointment. This is not a cheap adventure. And, I cannot recommend the value for this trip AT ALL. The only reason it wasn't a 1 is because at least we got to ride the vehicles. One key reason for our disappointment is that we had the most anit-social worst guides I have ever experienced in all of my buggy/UTV trips which are about 5. I was told the main gentleman of our 2 was one of the Owners. The other guy, whom wore a chef hat, never spoke and stayed on his cell phone the ENTIRE time. I was very excited to see one thing, the rainforest. I had clearly and in writing asked them was which trip should I pick of your 3 offers gets me to the rainforest? She said the only was to go through a rainforest, so we upgraded to the 4-5 hour tour. Yet, our guide ndrove straight past it without even the courtesy to show others by even pulling into the area and giving us some info. I knew the area of the rainforest, and when we drove right by it remaining on the highways, the rest of my trip felt like a lie and waste of my money. On our trip, our guides made one stop where he told us something, which was about this lake providing all the tap water. After this, he never explained or shared one more thing of the island, interests, history, offered to take photos, nothing... for rest of the 4-5 hour voyage. Not a thing about the farming or what they grow or the agriculture as we drove along them... At Betty's Hope, they said NOTHING minus, there is the bathroom. So much amazing history that I learned while standing in line for the bathroom. No stories or offers of pictures around the beautiful sugar mills. The guides then sat in their buggy and stared at their cell phones. We headed to Devil's Bridge where they didn't again share anything, nor even share where we were! No parking by the sign to even read. It was good our hotel was there and we walked there several times. The two guides then sat again in the buggy on their phones. My fiance and I observing this walked the others over to where they could actually see the bridge. Our guide had taken us off the raod and onto the limestome well past where you would even recognize the bridge so the others hadn't even known where we were. We offered to take the photos as we continued to observe our guides staying on their phones. Speaking nothing. The others were more than also disappointed at this point saying "If you didn't know anything about this, we would have wasted this journey, and our overpriced adventure". This was a sentiment for the rest of the day. At Half Moon Beach, again, no interactions. Sitting before us at the table, accepting their foods before all our guests had gotten foods, no speaking with us. No asking us how its going, any questions, nothing. The one gentelman never spoke once even to us. Not once. After the beach which we had about 15 minutes, we stayed on highways, passed by the promised rainforest, and the only trail we ever saw again was a 20 yard connecting trail to their own street.

Highlight of our trip to Antigua
I booked this for my family as a Xmas gift and after the experience, my son said it was the best Xmas present of his (40+ years)! Joel and his team led our family on an adventure of a lifetime. The highlight was driving through original Antigua roads that ran through rainforests - not an average tour experience. Would do this tour again in a heartbeat!

An incredible and unique vacation experience
If you are thinking about doing this, stop thinking and book it! Everything about this day was perfect. The staff were excellent; fun, friendly, and helpful. The experience of buzzing around a tropical island in a little buggy is incredible! It was amazing to get off-road and see the places you usually don’t see on vacation. The stops we made were interesting and beautiful, and we drove along some very scenic roads through the day. Lunch was in a little beachside bar that you’ll never want to leave. The pace was fun but not difficult. My mom drove a buggy with my daughter for a passenger and they easily kept up and enjoyed the ride, but it wasn’t slow enough to bore me, an experienced off-roader. Our group ranged from 8 years old to 70 and everyone had a blast! The guides are very attentive and don’t let anyone fall behind or get lost, and they went to the trouble of running a guide in front and behind the four we used, which made it stress-free knowing we were being looked after attentively. A couple of notes: wear clothes that can get dirty and close-fitting sunglasses or goggles are a must as it can be dusty off-road. Antigua is known for isolated rain showers, so you will likely experience dusty and muddy conditions in the same trip. Don’t let your favourite t-shirt ruin an awesome experience. If you don’t mind getting a little dirty it’s the best way I have found to explore an island.

        Great experience!
We had a great experience. Our transportation driver was very friendly and everyone there was nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend this tour. Do, however, allow at least an additional hours time in case of any unforseen delays, as with any tour. We really enjoyed ourselves!

Good tour - but guide was flying drone while driving
The tour was good although there was a lot of driving just on normal roads. More off-road would have been better. Also, our guide kept flying his drone while driving and almost crashed twice while doing so. Not exactly ideal…

Definitely schedule one if their adventures
Joel was a great guide and the buggies ate in pretty good shape. The tour takes you through alot of areas you wouldn't ordinarily get to see. You make 2 beach stops which are very scenic and enjoyable. No bathrooms along the way so it's the fish toilet if needed. Very worth it

        SO MUCH FUN!
My husband and I had the best time. We got to see so many amazing views of the island, which we would not have seen from our resort. Not only did we see the country side and mountains but also local villages. It was so amazing. We got muddy and had so much fun doing so. Would HIGHLY recommend this adventure to anyone!

Exhilarating ATV tour! The rugged terrain, combined with the stunning views, made for an unforgettable adventure. Our knowledgeable guide "Elspeth" ensured both safety and excitement. A must-do for anyone seeking an adrenaline rush while exploring nature's beauty.

        Fun and informative day out!
Great day out - just us and their tour guide! Very informative, not rushed when we were looking at things. Taken to an additional beach stop after lunch, as sea not good to swim in at Half Moon Bay due to the sea weed. Great buggy, informative briefing in advance, and regular checks by our guide as we were out and about. Great way of seeing the island whilst not stuck in a car! Thank you!

The weather was perfect for this adventure; it drizzled slightly before we started - just enough that it wasn't too dusty! I went solo so they paired me with a guide who gave me advice on how to navigate the tricky spots where a buddy could get stuck in the mud. I had a blast driving!

I'd also like to shout out Beverly who went above and beyond to ensure that I got home okay when my ride (my travel buddy) fell asleep and didn't collect the rental car in time to collect me. Beverly allowed me to use her phone to call my friend AND gave me the exact bus fare I needed to get into town. She ensured that one of the guides took me to the bus stop and stayed with me until I got a bus. I really appreciated that! Thank you to Beverly and the team!

We had a great buggy experience. Our Guide(s) were very professional and 2 1/2 hours was filled with cross country roads with some paved roads mixed in. Buggies are like new with power. We are actually booked for the 5-hour tour next Week. So we are going again and bigger/longer.

It was definitely a fun experience. My wife and I went to do something different. The tour went a lot further than expected and you were able to drive on roads through a couple of towns and through fields on dirt/gravel roads. We did the 2.5 hour tour and split off from the main group. This was great because it was just us and the guide, so we went as fast as we wanted. The one thing I would do next time is bring goggles and mouth/nose covering, it was very dusty due to lack of rain.

I gave 2 stars because at least we got to ride. Our tour was set for 2-4:30. Our transportation was late picking us up so we was a little concerned about being able to enjoy our whole tour. But we got there about 5 minutes late which we thought was not a big deal. We sit and fill out the paperwork listen to the instructions and then...... wait. The first tour went over so they were not back yet. The show up at 3pm. I asked if we would get out full tour and the lady assured me we would. He give his speech before we leave and said in I quote "He will only go as fast as the slowest driver".. Well I am assuming because we started an hour late he was racing through the tour. We don't know about anything we saw because no one ever said anything. We got to the beach and he says we got 10 minutes. So after the 10 minutes he is rushing everyone to go. We all had to turn around. By the time we turned around the lead guide and the 3 other cars with us is gone, no where to be seen. We did have a guide behind us or so we though because when we realized we could not find the guide in front of us we looked back and the guide behind us was gone. So now we are panicking because we don't know where we are at, don't know how to drive on Antigua streets, just a whole mess. So we decide to turn around and go back to where we were because we were lost, the guide that was behind us show up. So he show us the way to go. When we got back everyone was off their buggies and he is setting up for the next tour. Guess what time we got back, 4:30. So we were cheated an hour out of our trip and when I asked him about that his first response was the transportation was included in the time which I know is not true because transportation was suppose to be there at 1:15 so that we could start our tour at 2 and we paid them separately . Then he says we got to see everything. Flying through a tour and enjoying a tour you paid $155US Dollars for is too different things. So I would not refer this tour to anyone but if you do book it and they do not start on time back out because you will definitely be cheated out of your money and time.

I give it a 3 because no where in the description does it say you are charged for your transportation. When reserving our tour we were asked where to be picked up, when we arrived they asked for $50 for transportation on top of the tour fee. Don’t mind paying it but didn’t like the surprise “you owe us money” thank God we had brought cash with us but it was for Dale. My husband and I had a great time riding around in the buggy’s. It had rained as we were out which made the off roading part that much more fun. Dale aka Baby Face was a great tour guide.

First, we did have fun, and the folks who run the tour are nice. We take an ATV or UTV tour every time we travel, and this particular one was the most underwhelming we’ve taken.

We were a bit disappointed that most of this tour (65% or so) is on the street, not exactly where you have the most fun with a UTV.

We were taken back a bit by the lecture regarding what it would cost us if something happened to their UTV while under our care. This happened after everyone’s transportation had left, so you’re kind of stuck. We were told if we went to the side of the trail and the sidewalk of the tire was damaged, it would cost us $900 usd. Th say the existing tires were well beyond their end of life would be an understatement. The tires were totally bald and the rubber so thin you can see the shadow of belts starting to show. Frankly, it almost seemed like they wouldn’t mind a sidewalk puncture. We were also told that if you hit someone you’re responsible for the damages, and it would run $1000 usd to start. I get they don’t want someone to hit another person on tour, but don’t they have insurance?

As a plus, the beach they take you to is really nice and very refreshing. A good way to get the dust off of you.

The tour guide was not a professional. I had a 17 and 18 year old in a UTV. They were right behind the tour guide when he sped off, shut off his lights, and hid from my daughters. It was nighttime and the rain was pouring hard on them, the poor girls were scared out of their mind. They didn’t know where to go as they were following him. After about 20 mins of driving blindly in the night they saw him and he started laughing and saying, “did you get scared?” This is extremely unprofessional. Additionally, this tour guide took pictures of my girls for his “social media.” The next day he sent these pictures to my phone, thinking that it was one of my daughter’s phone. He tried to start a creepy conversation thinking it was my daughter. Please keep your children safe from this creepy tour guide. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS!

This is a very interesting feedback. I was the guide on this tour and your daughters may have taken this the wrong way. We always ask persons on our tour to send us pictures from their experience for us to post as we the guides don't always have an opportunity during the tour to take pictures to showcase the activities. It's always best in our estimation to see from the guests point of view. It just so happens that your daughters took this the wrong way and I apologize for the miscommunication. There were several others on this excursion and everyone else were asked the same thing. Some sent some didn't and that's fine. I appreciate your feedback though and will use this information to more gage who we collect images from. Also the pictures that were sent we of your daughters jumping in by the beach. This was an image that I saw as one we never took before so it would have been good to have. I asked them if they would and they were happy to do it a number of times till we kinda got it right. They then looked over the the images and selected the ones they wanted sent and we did what we always do and sent the images to the whatsapp number we have on file. I'm going to quote the exact message that followed. "Good morning the light was poor so they came out blurred 😔" "Did you get any good shots?" During the course of the day something was written and deleted so I responded "Good evening just seeing this" "What did I miss😔" Not sure what can be seen as creepy there but hey we all have different cultures and they all have to be appreciated and respected so if this came across as creepy to you then again I apologize. About turning the lights off this may have been an error in judgement and as humans we make errors in judgement from time to time. Normally we may do things to add to the thrill and just like in any other entertainment industry the majority may find it amusing and others may not find it entertaining. It's a game of chance. Just in this case your daughters were put off by it and for this we apologize. Class it as unprofessional in your opinion and I respect that but we in no way targeted your children.

Sadly I have to say - don't waste your time or money taking this trip. I very much value local ventures trying to contribute to their economy but this was such a massive disappointment and complete waste of time. We were hopeful it would be a fun ride through parts of Antigua that we had not encountered. The tour takes you on some off roads to see a few Antigua farms and rain forests but there was not any explanation of where we were or what we were seeing. We stopped at a beach for 15 minutes and the guide told us he did have drinks for us but we shouldn't bother because it was not iced. He then spent the rest of the time on his phone. During the tour he stopped a couple of times to talk to perhaps his friends in villages, and gave one a ride somewhere. It seemed all highly unprofessional. Its a cool concept and sure wish they would make it a better experience but for the price and time - not worth it.

So much fun! We did the 2.5 hour tour and that felt perfect for us. We got to see a secluded beach and had some beautiful views from up high. What we wished we knew before: you will get VERY dirty, you really need eye protection and some sort of face covering because of the dust. We powered thru with sunglasses and no face covering and were only minimally uncomfortable but we did end up with mud stained clothes. Would totally do it again though! Appreciated the staff orientation and how they managed the whole thing - had never done this before but felt like they had it under control and the buggies were well maintained and easy to drive.

Such an awesome tour and great way to see this beautiful island off and on grid. Get ready to get dusty and muddy. The tour is split between countryside dirt paths as well as regular roads with vehicle traffic. Bring eye protection - sun glasses or glasses will be fine but you will definitely need something to help keep the dust out of your eyes. It’s an adventure so be prepared. The tour ends with time at a gorgeous beach for a swim or stroll and some snacks. It was SO much fun. Thank you!!!
