About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- utahkingsfan0 contributionsAmazing Island TourOur tour guide Flavor/Flava was awesome. He was super knowledgable about the island and provided so much history. This tour was wonderful, we visited all the key points on the island, Devils Bridge, Nelsons Dockyard, Shirley Heights, Bettys Hope. We have enough time at each place to take photos and browse on our own. We enjoyed lunch, included in the tour price, at Bettys Hope Plantation as well as drinks all day throughout the tour. Definitely recommend this tour if you want to learn more about the beautiful island of Antigua.Written December 2, 2024
- F9383ZVka0 contributionsDO NOT use - they cancelled trip and haven’t returned moneyThe company cancelled my trip on the day we were due to go and said they would refund within 5-7 days however my monies have still not been sent back to me a month after cancellation! Loads of emails sent which are just being ignored. As a regular visitor to Royalton (the hotel that attaches its name to this company on sites) I cannot believe the service - it’s shocking. In addition to this they missold me the safari trip that was supposed to include Shirley Heights and accepted that they made an error and would refund half of that trip too. Again I’m still waiting for the money a month later. Almost $600 has been withheld from me Which has left me without money to do other things. I am still waiting for my refund Alongside all the others who were expecting to go on the Sunset Cruise trip with no explanation. When will we receive our money nexus???Written November 22, 2024
- AlexHTravel960 contributionsNot usually one for reviews but this is a ripoff and not sure what you get for your moneyIf you enjoy being herded like cattle then this is the trip for you. From the start you’re packed in like sardines with limited seating. The snorkelling was some of the worst I’ve ever seen. The reef is dead and fish few and far between. This is probably due to the large boats destroying the reef. Not only is the snorkelling terrible but you’re also made to swim like a pod of dolphins for 45 minutes and are restricted to this specific areas. In all fairness the food was decent and the bar had ample drinks for the day. The whole experience just seems to be one big cash driver. The staff don’t seem interested at the best of times and are incredibly rude in how they speak to you. To top off our day the boat broke down in English Harbour where we were stranded for several hours. They failed to communicate what was wrong and this meant people were just stood around on the boat in the baking heat. One woman passed out due to the heat and in the end they had to cancel the rest of the trip. We were told we would be transported back to our resorts by the taxis that brought us which was completely understandable however, the organisation of getting people to these taxis was chaos. The staff didn’t seem to know who was actually on their boat and where they needed to get to. Baring in mind we only completed part of the trip there was no mention of any kind of refund and then they had the audacity to say down the microphone that there’s a tip jar to tip the service.Written November 20, 2024
- vann e0 contributionsGreat vibes and EnergyMy lady and myself had an amazingggg time! Great energy from the staff that made give the island feel we were seeking! - SUNRAE810 contributionsAll Good Here.I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this excursion. The crew (Philip, William, Miguel) were all amazing. The music and drinks were good. Stay away from the captain specials unless you are trying to have an extra good time. 3 of those drinks almost had me passed out in my hotel room. 🤭 The ride, the views and the entire tour was grand. Definitely put this on your bucket list.Written October 30, 2024
- pebhj0 contributionsA tour with a bit more!Danian picked us up from the Royalton and as luck would have it we were the only two on board. Danien was informative and patient. He looked after us well. Not only did p he do all the tourist spots on the schedule but he took routes though local communities to show and explain island life. Often pulling over to point out local fruits and vegetation. He was rightly proud of the local schools and medical facilities he pointed out. This was a tour with a bit more, and we finished the day feeling like we had seen Antigua.Written October 16, 2024

- terrinat20240 contributionsA fabulous experience and an absolute privilegeThis was a truly amazing experience. It was an absolute privilege to interact with the rays. Every member of staff that we met from arrival to departure made sure that everyone had the best possible experience and before leaving the rays made absolutely sure that everyone had the opportunity to hold and have a photograph taken and to feed them. We were made to feel welcome and were looked after the whole time.Written July 24, 2024
- Scenic4483830 contributionsVery unique experienceThe review is 5 star but there were a couple of hiccups which the tour company needs to improve upon. First of all we did the extreme circumnavigation tour and not the one chosen in the dropdown here because that option does not appear. We were told To be at the beech at 8am but the tour did not start until 9:20. Apparently the start time was 9:20 but the staff who sold us the tour were told wrong. The staff just brushed it off as not their fault while. We wait at hot beach for 1hr 20 minutes. After the tour started everything changed and we had a fantastic experience. The crew - Rasheem, Kewaine and Mark were really good - very knowledgeable - took interest in what guests wanted and best of all had a great sense of humour. Turtle stop was great - we saw atleast a dozen of them. Crew were actively pointing them out to us. Sting ray city was wonderful! Again the crew helped my who has water phobia to get i to water and hold a sting ray! That in itself was a miracle! Sting ray city is a wonderful spot and so unique - one must visit! Lunch spot was heaven! On an uninhabited island with crystal clear and warm waters it was a place we did not want to leave. Lunch in itself was decent. The English harbour information was brillliant. This is where the crews knowledge came out and they gave a very informative tour of the harbour through water - there was no stopping here. Then t snoring stop wasn’t for the faint hearted. It needed a lot of swimming through choppy waters and tested the stamina out of some people. Perhaps they can moor a little closer to the spot rather than testing your swimming skills! The final spot for rum punch was also great - lot of sea shells for kids to collect and pleasant warm waters. On behalf of my family I would like to thank the crew for the experience they gave us and the way they looked after my wife and successfullly encouraged her to get into water. All the issues of the morning with late start were completely forgotten and we were left with a memory of a lifetime!Written June 1, 2024

She was attentive, knowledgeable, and made the booking process seamless. The tour was well-organized and offered a perfect mix of historical sites, stunning views, and local experiences. I highly recommend Nexus Tours and commend Ms. Savena for her outstanding service.Written May 29, 2024
- stephanie32380 contributionsGreat experience in AntiguaThis review is not about an excursion but about a nexustours employee by the name of Shana A. She’s responsible for booking tours in Antigua (Royalton Antigua). Shana Archibald was amazing. She was very patient with me. I reached out to Nexustours/Shana Archibald to book excursions for a group of 12. It's not easy booking excursions for 12 different people. 12 different people making who can’t decide what excursion they would like to do. Her professionalism and patience are unmatched. If you’re going to Royalton Antigua, Shana is your girl to book excursions with. She deserves praise. I will definitely recommend nexustours to all my friends and family because of Shana.Written May 28, 2024
- bmacpt0 contributionsNot worth the moneyStopped to snorkel...nothing to see but a few fish. Did get to see some turtles, but overall the snorkel was terrible. Too many snorkelers in the group, and the "guide" went speeding by the reef and yelling for everyone to keep up. As soon as we got out to the reef, he turned us around and zipped back to the boat. Back on board for lunch and then "beach time" on the little parcel of sand. What a waste of money.Written May 19, 2024
- Ambassador5670910 contributionsWonderful experienceWe went on the extreme excursion in Antigua. The crew was very friendly and made sure we all had a terrific time. Lunch and drinks were included and they were tasty. Would recommend! We even managed to spot a humpback whale late in the season so we went on a little detour to watch it for a little bit, very cool.Written May 7, 2024
- jennyleiber0 contributionsA great day sightseeingShauna was our rep at the beach. She was patient and informative and knew exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to experience the local towns, villages with some island history along the way. Our driver John was very accommodating. We made stops along the way at Devils Bridge and English Harbour both were amazing. We ended the day with a cold beer and swim at long beach. It met everyone’s expectations. We were a private group of 10 family members ages 3-70 and everyone could participate. Best $$ money spent and affordable for everyone. Lots of access to bathrooms, drinks along the way, photo ops and breezy drive.Written April 26, 2024

Covid restrictions when we arrive to Antigua prohibited water sports for a period of time including catamarans. My original reservation was for September 30 and once we arrived I realize that the secondary sight I had booked through allowed me to reserve a spot on a day the catamarans were not running. Nexus tours quickly rebooked me to a different day which was much appreciated. The catamaran leaves from the main harbor and transfer was included in our fee. Although we were staying at one of the main resorts on the island. We had the option to upgrade our Caribbean lunch to lobster for an extra $25 per person which we declined. Lunch included Caribbean jerk fish and chicken, rice and peas, potatoes and a dinner salad. Portions were plenty and the lobster did look pretty good. The tour started with hand sanitizing upon entrance and they did ask us to stay in the same spots on the boat the whole trip but most people disregarded that after we got into the open air. The boat was not filled to capacity so social distancing was available if you preferred. The captain shared several fun pieces of information about the history of the island and some of the natural sites that we can see from the boat. We stopped at a coral reef for a guided snorkel. For those who have never snorkeled it was probably enjoyable but it is sad that the reef is mostly dead and they’re only a few fish. We opted to end the snorkeling short for ourselves and get back on the boat to enjoy the open bar. After snorkeling we enjoyed lunch and a stop at a quiet beach. Then we sailed home and we were dropped right at our resorts private beach at the Royalton since it was on the way. Most people ended back at the harbor. The boat staff was very friendly, the snorkeling gear seemed to be sanitized efficiently and they did attempt to implement as many social distancing procedures as you can on a sailboat even though not all occupants wanted to comply.
