The BEST way to start our vacation in Japan!
Our tour guide, Naoto, was incredible. Let me start by saying the food on this tour was amazing, and well worth the price. We were so full by the end of the night that we weren’t even hungry for breakfast in the morning. We visited an incredible variety of restaurants, each offering a different unique type of traditional Japanese cuisine. Even better than the food, was our tour guide. He guided us through local areas of shibuya, offering incredibly detailed historical facts and traditions of the area. He showed us areas that my wife and I never would have found on our own, showing just how much there is to explore in this incredible area of Tokyo. He took photos of us along the way and also provided recommendations for places to visit while we were staying here. It was an incredible experience that my wife and I will never forget. Absolutely worth the price, we cannot recommend this experience enough. Thank you Naoto Kato!

      Not worth it!
I hate writing reviews let alone bad ones but given the company want one, here goes...I simply would not call this a food tour. I have done several food tours in Tokyo and other cities and was expecting 6-10 stops in traditional and/or backstreet locations with a mix of foods gaining an understanding of the backstories of food/people/places. Maybe I should have done more research but we went to three restaurants literally one after the other where we basically ordered our own meals. The food was good and our guides were lovely, but not overly knowledgeable (or did not impart) about the area or the food etc. The menus also had prices in them so we could see exactly how much of a premium we were being charged. Combined my wife and I had a maximum of 10,000 Yen ($100 AUD) worth of food (from the menu prices) and had paid 65000 Yen ($650 AUD) for the tour tickets...ouch, very poor value. It really felt like we could have had a similar and much much cheaper experience by ourselves with a tiny bit of research. I think there are many better tours you could do.

      Experience the real Tokyo
Chisato was an AMAZING tour guide! Chisato was organized and maximized our visit to Tokyo. We had wonderful meals in local Tokyo restaurants. It was wonderful to use the public transportation to interact with the local community and stay away from the typical tourist experience. Chisato also took wonderful photos throughout our experience capturing beautiful memories that we were able to share with family and friends.

      Great night out in Shibuya
I had a really good time on this tour. The selection of restaurants was great and I enjoyed chatting with my tour guide Islam about various aspects of Japanese life and culture. I would definitely recommend.

      the best solo traveller tour
I can recommend this tour to any solo traveler. Sometimes you might be intimidated to go to restaurants by yourself. But on this tour, you get the chance to try famous street food and learn a bit about the night-life in Japan. Unfortunately, I can't say much about the quality of the food itself as I have no comparison, but I personally found it very tasty. Naoto-san and Suzuki-san were both incredibly friendly, had a good sense of humor and guided us professionally through the evening. What I found particularly great were the spontaneous detours to places that are not initially included in the tour. If anyone in the group is particularly interested in something, the tour guides will do everything they can to ensure that you go home happy and with new found knowledge. In our case, it was a short detour to Daiso (Dollar Shop), which some of us had not seen yet.

      SHIBUYA Food Tour
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind. Mr Nato gave each of us a package of Japanese snacks! Viator promoted it as 'all you can eat" but it was not. However we did have plenty of food. Overall would recommend this tour.

Great start to our visit to Japan
Naota was an excellent guide. We had just arrived in Tokyo after a twelve hour flight. The food tour was a perfect way to begin our immersion into the Japanese culture. The food options were excellent and Naoto enhanced the experience with his observations. Highly recommend.

      Fun Tour
What a great food tour! We enjoyed exploring Shibuya and had three excellent stops - octopus balls, Japanese BBQ, and sushi. The food was excellent, our guide - Islam - was great, and it was fun to have a couple of shopping stops along the way. Definitely recommend for a fun way to spend the evening in Shibuya. Come hungry!

      Why I want a refund !
When I take a food tour, I expect the tour guide to be passionate and knowledgeable about food. If there is extra time on the schedule, I expect to be taken to additional restaurants, I do not want to be taken into department stores to kill time.
