I had a great time! Naoki was very knowledgeable and an enthusiastic guide. I would highly recommend this tour. I would definitely try the restaurants we went to again and particularly loved the Edo Sushi and Wagyu!

      Amazing
We had an amazing time on this food tour! Our guide, Hyoga, was incredibly friendly and funny, making the experience both entertaining and enjoyable. The food was delicious, and we loved exploring the charming little streets he led us through – they were both fascinating and cozy. This tour is an absolute must, and we highly recommend it!

Aoi was amazing! She was friendly fun and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. She took us through major areas and the restaurants we stopped at had the most delicious sushi, wagyu bbq, and desserts! We were all set up once we got there thanks to her! Highly recommend as it was one of our highlights on our trip!

      Fantastic Sumo experience
What an experience! I learnt about the history of sumo wrestling and I got to train with professionals. I even participated in a real match! Fuji & Ry were great guides and answered all my questions also. Great to have a relaxing lunch and keep a t-shirt as a souvenir.

      Tuskiji fish market with Mark
Amazing tour with Mark, he held our hand, figuratively, throughout the fish market and encouraged us to try many things. Had a delicious lunch and saw many exciting new things in Tokyo. He was wonderful, patient and very informative. Top star rating!! Thank you

Unwelcoming, and at times nasty interactions.
GOLDEN GAI AND SHINJUKU: we are two 50+ Australian experienced female travellers -Bars tiny, seating 6 on average each. Very few were encouraging or welcoming. Some advertised live music, however none to be found. Walked for ages, enquired in many (used Google translate so no confusion on query) . Ended our night being recommended the Jazz at Kentoba, by female bar attendant (and a Japanese customer, friend of hers) . After following directions on Google, which the bar attendant had set up on my phone personally, we arrived up 3 flights of stairs, where we found gentleman in an intimate and secluded gay bar, no music, and females not welcome. This, after being shoved deliberately in Kyoto, and a nasty taxi driver experience also in Kyoto, doesnt entice me to spend anymore time or money in Japan. Was there for a month, Shiga Kogen to Okinawa

      Excellent tour
Yuki was such an amazing guide, he was very knowledgeable on the area and we explored different areas that we can check out on our own as well. This is definitely kid friendly and our two (8yrs old and 11yrs old) loved it! Highly recommend

Despite it being a swelteringly hot day when the Asakusa Samba Carnival was being held we had a fabulous guided tour. Noriko was brilliant, walking us through unbelievably crowded streets at an appropriately relaxed pace to the temple and pagoda and explaining the cultural and historical significance of these buildings. The tour included a fascinating macha tea making demonstration, and culminated in a delicious Japanese meal at a traditional Japanese restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience despite the challenges of the crowds and heat. Very many thanks Noriko for making our day so memorable. Jayne & Dave

Our tour guide Hina was incredibly sweet and knowledgeable - my husband and I were ecstatic to be able to not just enjoy the fun matcha and okonomiyaki making, but also to chat about our trip and general life things with Hina. It was such a fun and laid-back tour that was very much welcome as it was our first trip to Japan and we were feeling a bit isolated trying to figure everything out in our first week. We can't thank Hina enough and we definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting to get an introduction to the cultural significance of Asakusa, but also wanting to have a casual fun time, too!

I was lucky to be Megumi-san’s only guest for the matcha experience. It was easy to find her with her sign. She was full of useful information especially with food for souvenirs. The matcha experience was great - now I know how to proper make matcha and how to have it with snacks. We finished with delicious okonomiyaki. Megumi-san took pictures and sent them to me at the end of the tour. She was also very flexible with me needing to leave slightly early. I learned a lot with her and would highly recommend this experience!!

My family and I recently participated in the Asakusa Temple and Cultural Tour with the Matcha making experience with Hina as our guide. She is our favorite guide in Tokyo now and this tour was the most informative! Her deep knowledge of the traditions and history surrounding Shinto and Buddhist religion was truly impressive, and she shared fascinating insights about the history and cultural significance of temples in Japan.

Hina's warm and welcoming personality made everyone feel at ease, and her excellent communication skills ensured that all our questions were answered thoroughly. She was willing to answer any questions we had or anything we were curious about and gave us time to stop and check out shops along the way. She guided us step-by-step through the intricate process of making Matcha, translating for the person giving us the tour and class.

Hina was a pleasure to interacti with, talk to, and be guided by. I highly recommend the Matcha making tea experience in Tokyo, especially if you have Hina as your guide. She went above and beyond to make the experience special for everyone involved.

The matcha-making session and okonomiyaki lunch were my favourites! My Asakusa cultural experience would have been entirely different without the context and history that Mihori (the tour guide) gave for every building, shrine and art piece that I saw. I learned a lot that day! Arigatogozaimashita

There tour made great use of the time to see, learn and "do": grinding matcha leaves before the wonderful tasting, getting traditional fortune-telling cards, making okonomiyaki in a seriously old-school restaurant, etc.

The small tour size meant we could ask tons of questions and try lots of different things. The two guides (Kentake and a bonus trainee guide!) were informed, sincere and friendly. They really went above and beyond to answer all our questions and help us have a great time. Phenomenal value.

Ryo showed us around the Asasuka area, explained the meaning of some of the art and statues. Then we did a matcha tea ceremony, which was wonderful. After that, he took us to a local restaurant where we made Okonomiyaki, which was delicious! Ryo was very helpful and kind the entire tour.

We loved our first tour of Asakusa with Kentake and Lisa. Both tour guides made the experience very special for us. We particularly enjoyed sharing a griddle eating Okonomiyaki and learning about life in Japan. We also loved hearing the history of the Seno-ji temple. It was very crowded and a little rainy when we went, but we still felt like Kentake and Lisa went above and beyond to make our experience special. The matcha experience was interesting and a cool, private stop from the busy street below. Highly recommended and great value.

I was absolutely amazed with how fun, interesting and understanding this tour was. It was one my best experiences in Japan, and I wish I could do it again and again. Our tour guides, Mai and Noriko, were some of the nicest people you could ever meet. They explained everything to my family and I in such outstanding detail, and I am coming away from this experience a lot more educated and aware of Japans rich history, as well as full stomach! I would highly recommend this to anyone, couples, family’s, anyone who has a couple of hours to spare to learn and have fun. The one thing that I would change on this tour would be to make it longer!!
