Let's create and design your dream lunch quickly with our friendly cooking sensei(teacher) in the down-to-earth & friendly neighborhood of Yanaka. You will select several popular homely dishes sold in the Yanaka neighborhood, including Japanese-style egg omelets, fried chicken, croquette, etc. To finish arranging your original bento box, let's be creative and make Onigiri rice balls with cute faces and shapes. You will plate all the items in a bento box, and voila! You have your lunch right here! At Yanaka House, you will enjoy eating like Tokyo's locals do. Enjoy your bento over Tokyo-roasted coffee, ko-hi, another house specialty. *If you are on a special diet or food-related issues, please inform us of them when booking.

      Great Experience in Tokyo
I was very impressed with Saori, our instructor! She was informative, patient and sprinkled the lesson with some humor. You'll learn a bit about the history of Kanji and have fun practicing the art along with some smiles at how aweful your art will be at first. The experience is well worth your time and the studio is in a historic and quaint area of Tokyo with many small shops.

Great time and learned a lot
Yuki was fantastic, knowledgeable, and funny! We made udon noodles and tempura which both turned out great. She made it very easy to learn and my wife and I had a great time. We recommend this class to anyone visiting Tokyo.

A great cooking experience. Well worth doing to understand some Japanese culinary traditions and ingredients
We had a lesson at the end of our trip and Yuki answered so many of our questions about Japanese food. We made Dashi/miso soup, gyoza and okonomyaki and all were delicious. We have recipes and notes to take home. Yuki speaks excellent English and was a very good teacher. We really enjoyed our time with her

      Deep and unforgettable experience.
It was an extraordinary experience. A way to understand a little more about the essence of Japanese culture and tradition. Learning, as a small introduction, the ancient art of Shodō, with the help and guidance of Master Chie was unforgettable.

Great time leaving to draw and make a picture. Lots of fun. The Black calligraphy was what we made and the red was what we used to make the pictures.
