- 38winelover0 contributionsCooks’ dream tour! Perfect 10!This is the perfect 10!!! If you’re a cook and to learn more about handling fish(Tuna this time) to make Sashimi and Sushi, this is THE tour you want to sign up for! I loved the visit to Toyosu(which is rare opportunity for visitors) and Tsukiji to get Tuna and other seafoods for cooking later and to cut properly Tuna for Sashimi and to make Sushi. All the foods chef cooked for me were sooo delicious. Highly recommended!!!Written March 18, 2024
- ihaa060 contributionsIt was an amazing experience! The tour of the Toyosu market was amazing. I will never forget shopping at a fish market of a scale I had never seen at all. Also, buying a block of tuna and learning how to dismantle it from a craftsman was a very interesting experience. It was a valuable experience that even sushi chefs are not allowed to do. I also enjoyed making sushi. I would recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in sushi and fish.Written November 27, 2023
- Derrick W0 contributionsFantastic tour and workshopWe had a phenomenal time with our guide Azusa. We were able to go onto the floor of the new market to buy fish, tour the old market to try different foods, and then we ended up at a sushi restaurant where we got a private hands-on lesson on how to cut the fish that we had purchased earlier and make sushi. This is the only package I saw that provided this last option and this was absolutely worth it!Written November 27, 2023

We have had very good time with my sons learning how to make sushi. After short historical introduction we went on with learning how to cut tuna. The chef instructed us how to do the cut and then we could do it ourselves. Once the tuna was cut into pieces with different type of meat we cut pieces for for nigiri. Afterwards we finalized our own nigiris using pieces of tuna, shrimp and types of fish meat. Finally we tasted our products.
We choose this experience because it offers real experience cutting tuna and not just watching somebody doing it.
It could be longer though, to have more time to exercise with cutting and discussing.
