- michaelnmelb00Tokyo photo tourWas picked up from my Hotel by Lukasz. Spent a fantastic few hours exploring some amazing locations. Lukasz is very friendly and helpful and great to spend time with. I got some excellent photos especially at Tokyo international forum building. We also did some street photography between locations. Looking down on Tokyo station and the Shinkansen arrivals was another highlight. If you have an interest in photography at any level I highly recommend this tour.
- angelafT4509NW00Wonderful Street Shooting ExperienceI loved my street tour with Lukasz! We spent several hours walking and shooting all kinds of street scenes. This was a private tour, tailor made to my interests. I could not have accomplished this much in as little time when visiting a city such as Tokyo on my own. He was very accommodating and I got nudged out of my comfort zone just a tad which was very worthwhile. It would be very easy to stay "stuck" where we are comfortable but this was a fantastic way of experiencing photography, boosting my confidence up a notch. Thank you!
- michaelnmelb00Street photography in TokyoI was picked up by Lee from my hotel in Ginza at 4pm. We had a good chat about street photography and made a rough plan of locations I wanted to visit. Lee is very accommodating and easy to get along with. We transited via train to various areas including Akihabara, Ueno, Ikebukuru and Shinjuku. Lee picked out some of his favourite locations and also was open to explore anything that caught my eye along the way. A great guide and very helpful with composition and camera tips. Time went quickly and we ended up after 10pm. I got the train back to Ginza with a lot of memories and a great experience. Highly recommended and I would book a course with Lee any time. Thanks for the being a great guide.
- 729stevene00Urban geometry with LawrenceMy son and I did urban geometry with Lawrence. It was a fantastic experience. We learned new photographic techniques and explored areas of Tokyo we would have never seen on our own. My highest recommendation to both Lawrence and the tour.
- phantomzone00Wonderful workshop full of insight and tipsLaurence gave such an amazing personalized tour and shared a wealth of information around street photography and reading the light and location hunting. Really helped me to up my game. Also we got to different locations around Tokyo which was a bonus. Highly recommended.
- Ian12345678100Fun photography in Tokyo alleywaysWe had a great time with Lee on the Tokyo Cyberpunk streets photo-tour. In addition to Lee's advice on how to frame the best shots, it was great fun exploring the obscure alley ways of Shinjuku and Shibya. Even the rain did not dampen our time and it provided some great scenes.
- Joli_Papillon00Great photo tour even in the rain! The Temples of Tokyo photo tour was great! Lukasz was so helpful. The rain did not deter us and Lukasz was creative in the shots that we were able to get despite the rain. He is very knowledgeable about Tokyo and the temples that we visited. His level of knowledge is deep regarding Japanese culture. I learned more about the temples and culture from Lukasz that I did from any other tour guide I had during my time in Japan. Although I am an experienced photographer, I learned a lot technically from Lukasz. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with him and got some amazing shots! I highly recommend EyExplore Adventures in Tokyo.
- Lucaslanguage00Fortunate to have gone on Old Toyko your with Lee at eyExploreLee was informative, knowledgeable and fun! I learned photography tips I will have forever. The neighborhoods were fascinating, we explored them with ease.
- gavinc_nyc00Wonderful experience that I can't wait to repeatI did the Tokyo Cyberpunk photo workshop with Lee which was a blast. I expected to show up and find a big group of new idiot photographers like myself. But I was surprised to find it was just Lee and myself. Not sure if that was just my session or not but the 1:1 nature helped tremendously as we squeezed through small alleyways and snapped hundreds of photos. Lee knew the route like the back of his hand and was able to guide me while giving me tons of tips on composition and settings. As a photographer with very little street experience, I was pretty nervous about the class. But it ended up being a great experience and I wished I had booked more tours with EYExplore. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Japan.
- uedspeed00Renewed passion for photography through a wonderful workshopWent for a 3 hours tokyo cyberpunk workshop and had a wonderful time. Lee was a patient and knowledgeable guide. Lee was not only guides but also takes photo together. It was an invigorating experience being around someone whom enjoys photography and this experience has urged me to bring out my camera more often. Highly recommend this to anyone whom wants to see tokyo in a different light.
- Susan P00Informative and creativeLucasz made this experience fun and informative. Great architecture to photograph in an innovative and creative way and helped us to look at things differently from the camera lens ‘ eye .
- Brenda M00Excellent Tokyo Vertigo Tour!Lukasz is a patient and knowledgeable teacher with years and years of experience finding the best hidden place to photograph in Tokyo. I was in the Tokyo Vertigo tour and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. If you like night photography and urban exploration, don’t wait ~ book this tour as soon as you book your time in Tokyo!
- 43janetteh00Open your eyes to street photography and have a fabulous dayThis was a fabulous day shared with Lukasz who took us to some amazing places whilst sharing his knowledge of street photography. It certainly provided the opportunity to capture some amazing images but more that that, It opened our eyes to the potential and possibilities of street photography. Lukasz was so generous with his time and helping us with navigating the railways! Thank you Lukasz, it was fabulous.
- matthewbH3170DJ00Amazing Photo walkThis was a great personalised experience and a great way to get the ball rolling taking photos in Japan. Lee was so pleasant and full of knowledge. He taught me a great street photography technique. And also gave me pointers for other places to photograph in Japan. Well worth doing this.
- 568russellh00Great photo workshopVery impressed. Lucasz knows a ton and is great at communicating what you need to know and giving you help and advice that is right for your level. Also a very engaging personality and good fun to be with in addition to the tuition. Highly recommended.

What a great way to explore and get a new view of Tokyo. Axel was my teacher for the evening. I learned at lot during those hours, I was alone that evening.
We was at a couple of different spots, it was great to have variation. By doing that you learn more.
I can recommend this course to anyone that have an interest in photography. I am think about to take another course with them.

Charles easily adapted to us having iPhones instead of (the recommended) stand alone cameras. Took us to some great sites perfect for unique shots of Tokyo at night, and taught us more about our iPhone cameras’ capabilities in the process. Had a great and memorable time...even in that Tokyo alley! Highly recommend it!!!!

Walking around the Tokyo streets with Lukasz was a lot of fun. I had already done some exploration on my own the previous days, but he was able to show me a lot of new places, narrow passageways and interesting streets that I would never have found myself. Lukasz was great at providing tips, tricks and feedback on my photos, and overall it was just nice chatting with someone sharing the same passion for photography.

We had a great time. Charles was very helpful and patient with our party especially our teenager who had just started photography. He gave lots of good tips and showed us lots of great spots and was a wonderful guide and teacher. We look forward to doing a different activity with him the next time we return.

We were - very efficiently - taught a handful of techniques to shoot light trails and make them more interesting using angles and white balance options. I think I learnt quite a bit in a short period of time, but I didn't feel like I was having fun. Maybe it was our group, most of which didn't seem interested in socialising. Maybe this type of very technical shooting doesn't appeal to me, or maybe I just didn't click with the trainer. I'd still recommend it to others, but I probably wouldn't book again myself.

Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear that we met your expectations for photography: taught various techniques and showed how to do night photography. Your included photos are a great testament to that. We are regretful that we did not deserve a positive review because the photo workshop was not focused on socializing.
In our group sessions, which go up to a max of 6 participants, most customers are focused on getting the shots, while the guide is focused on helping them do so. We recommend our Private Tours for a more relaxed and personalized experience. Of course groups are fun too, but it depends on the other participants!
Sorry to hear it's not for you, but thank you for saying you would recommend it to others. We appreciate that!

I was very lucky as I was the only participant that night so I had Lukas all for myself and got more attention than what would have been possible in a group of 6 people.
We went to several different spots, initially all close by and started straight away with the first shots. Lukas made the first setup (position, tri-pod, camera-mode, ...) all by himself and used the first shots as the basis for his explenations (why this position and angle and not differently, exposure time, aperture, ...) and so it was very easy to understand and to follow his reasoning. Obviously, he knows all the different camera types and models and is very quick to change settings. I learned some areas of settings that I was absolutely not aware of before ..., or was hesitant to touch.
At every spot we took a lot of different shots to understand the various options to compose a picture with a combination of technical understanding and ‘playing around´ and see the results.
Lukas also explained the basics of the aperture-numbering. I could not repeat it but it helps to understand the relationship of aperture and exposure time.
Later we went twitch the metro to Shibuya and took some shots at the famous crossing. I’m not sure if this would have been possible (due to timing) if the group would have been larger. That shooting from the street ground into the crowd moving fast towards myself was the great last part of the tour.
During the more than 2 1/2 hour tour I learned sooo much. If I’m able to remember 25-30% of it than I’m happy. Besides that, I have hundreds of great shot on my memory card, I can’t wait to see them on my TV screen back home.
Summary: a big thank you to Lukas for this tour, the experience and all the learnings. This tour is highly recommended!

Stefan was amazing. He was a patient and fun teacher, taking us to different vantage points to learn and practice new skills. I like how he eased us into the busy streets and guided us on local norms. It was freezing and we'd forgotten our gloves so he kindly gave us little heat packs to warm our fingers.

Last night I did the Tokyo By Night photography tour with Eyexplore, led by Stephane. It was a great tour and I learned a lot. The group was a mix of beginners to advanced, and Stephane worked great with each one of us. He took the time to check in to see where we each were in skill level and experience, as well as what our goals for the tour were, and he managed to individualize the experience for each of us. In addition to Stephane being a great tour leader and teacher, the locations were great. I would not have known where to go for these photos on my own. This was my second experience with Eyexplore, and I look forward to my next adventure with this great team.

Had a great time on this tour led by Charles. I was a bit apprehensive to book at first as I am quite shy and this felt well out of my comfort zone.
Needn't have worried, Charles was so lovely and easy to get on with!
We went to a few spots in Shinjuku and then on to Shibuya for which you need to make sure you have either some yen or a travel card.
I learnt some really great techniques and Charles spent time to explain why certain settings worked in different environments. My camera is a Sony A6000 and for this I just brought my kit lens - the other attendees had much fancier kit than me!
I feel much more confident in moving away from my usual photography "style" and experimenting with some new ideas. Thank you Charles. If you love photography and are an amateur to hobbyist, book yourself on this tour!

Hello,
I am interested, however I do not own a stand-alone camera. Can this tour be done with just an Android smartphone?

The results you get are good when you can do long exposures lasting several seconds. I had my iPhone X with me but I used only my DSLR with a tripod. I think that if you use only the iPhone, you might be disappointed by the outcome.
