An excellent walking tour. I was planning on going to the market on my own but I’m really glad that I decided to take the tour with Japan Wonder Travel. Tak, our tour guide, made everything interesting with his knowledge of Tsukiji market and its history, he took us to the best shops to eat and buy whatever we want and he even took us to a shrine and a Buddhist temple. And the sushi place he took us to by the end of the walk was by far the best sushi I’ve ever had in Japan or abroad. It was well worth it, if I’m ever in Tokyo again I will definitely try the other tours they offer

I booked this tour through Japan World Travel and met up with my tour guide Lily on the day. The tour was fantastic with Lily providing very helpful information about not just the market, but the food, people and Japan in general. The food samples were fantastic as well with the stall holders being just as friendly as Lily. Definitely a tour I can recommend to anyone who wants a more unique experience

We spent our first morning going to this fish market food tour. The meeting location was super easy to find an Tomoyo (our guide) was waiting for us. Tomoyo was so sweet, friendly, knowledgeable of Japanese culture and understood English so well. During the tour, we were able to look around while being educated on various parts of the market. We tried a variety of food, all very good. My favorite was trying the freshly cut tuna and the extremely fresh sushi and the tamago. I felt the food selection was well selected and Tomoyo overall just did an excellent job. I would highly recommend this tour to get an overview of the history of the market and an introduction to Japanese food. I also appreciated the pictures Tomoyo took during our tour which were emailed to us after the tour was complete. My son, who is 14 loved this tour as well. If you can please a teenager, you've done good :)

Yoko was our guide and she was very pleasant. My friends and I had a wonderful time learning about Tsukiji Market and also learning a little bit about Japan history and culture. The food sampling was great. The highlight was the Sushi Lunch at the end of the tour. We had an awesome time walking around Tsukiji with Yoko our tour guide and just casually chatting about everything. Highly recommended for all to go on this tour!

I went on a food tour with Japan World Travel to Tsukiji Market. During the tour, we went to several traditional food shops and restaurant in Tsukiji. The tour guide explained the detail about the history of each meal we ate during the tour. Since then I understand that each food has its own history, and its very interesting. The tour guide not only explained about the food and its history, but she also ask our opinion about the food, whether we liked it or not.
I also studied several historic sites around the Tsukiji Market. It was truly a valuable and enjoyable experience I ever had. I had a pleasant time during the tour and It was such a great experience going on a tour with Japan World Travel. I would really recommend a tour with Japan World Travel if you are travelling to Japan.

My wife and I had a wonderful time with this tour. Our guide, Akiko, was so kind and helped us get a better understanding of Japanese customs and culture when it comes to food. She even helped us with our pronouncing the different Japanese salutations and forms of “thank you” and when and how you should say them. I highly recommend this tour, especially if it’s your first time in Japan. Also the food/snacks/drinks we were able to sample were delicious!

We had such a lovely time touring the Tsukiji Fish Market with our wonderful guide Motoko. Her English was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed her commentary as we wandered along. Really nice to hear her stories about her family too - a great personal touch. And of course the food was delicious. Thoroughly recommend this tour! Thanks Motoko!

We spent a wonderful morning with our very knowledgeable and pleasant guide, Tak. He took us to a Buddhist Temple and a Shinto shrine, explaining about both religions. There were many opportunities to learn about Japan and the culture along the walk. But oh...the food market! Up and down each aisle, he explained the foods and had even arranged for some samples! This easily walkable tour ended with an exquisite sushi lunch! Thank you, Tak for taking such good care of us.

We had a wonderful walking food tour of the Tsukiji Outer Market with Sanae. She was fluid in her approach, meaning if we pointed to a temple or shrine and expressed interest she would take us there and show us how to engage in a prayer! If we stopped and marveled at a stand of veggies, she would explain how Japanese people liked to eat that particular food. We saw two shrines, sampled sushi, drank green tea, tried katsuobushi, japanese omelet, fried fish cakes, fresh tuna, and even drank sake out of cedar cups that we got to keep as a souvenir. She was patient with our many questions about the food, the city, and the culture. It was the perfect way to orient ourselves on our first day in Japan. Communication with the company was very clear and detailed. Highly recommend.
