          6 Hr tour with Tomy.
We visited several different sites and locations, ranging from the Nishiki Food Market to the bamboo gardens. Tomy was not only friendly and well informed, but he also was very flexible, slowing down when we wanted to linger.

          Hiroshima and Myajima Island
Very informative. Great detail and stories about the area. Sei (Say) was a phenomenal guide. He knows everything you’d want to know about the Hiroshima area. A wonderful human who loves what he does and it shows in the care he takes when explaining and answering questions. 👍🏼👍🏼

A must of going to see Himeji castle! Our guide Noboru was great and pointed out many facts and details that 99% of the other visitors didn’t know.

An excellent day in Himeji Castle
An incredible tour with Ms. Rie Ito. It is not often one is fortunate enough to meet a guide who enjoys sharing their love to a given place with guests. She loves this castle, enjoys walking around with her guests (that is how we felt) and enthusiastically shares detailed information, stories details, etc, She is very personable and in no time at all we shared stories about life experience, local culture and economy, family, kids and grandkids. She is very knowledgeable and her English is excellent. Over all, an excellent guide, a beautiful place and a wonderful experience.

          A great day in Kyoto
Akira was a wonderful guide. Knowledgeable with a sense of humour and very patient with our rather uninhabited 3 boys. He was the one who doubled back and found one wayward son who had made an escape-from-the-group attempt amongst the crowds. Can't ask for more than that!

          Mahalo Ken!
Our guide, Kenji, is an amazing soul! His energy and wisdom made the tour incredibly engaging and enjoyable. Kenji took us to places we would have never discovered on our own, showing us hidden gems and local favorites that really enriched our visit to Tōkyō. His local knowledge and enthusiasm brought the history and culture of Tokyo to life in a way that was both informative and entertaining. What made the tour even more special was how Kenji worked with our itinerary and interests (even when we wanted to get sidetracked and look at something else)! He carefully customized each stop to ensure we experienced everything we wanted and more. His attention to detail and ability to adapt the tour to our preferences made it a perfect fit for our family. Thanks to Kenji's expert guidance, we were able to see and do things that we would have missed otherwise. We left each stop with a deeper appreciation for Tōkyō. It was a highlight of our trip, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!

          Thank you Yuki!
Yuki was an incredible tour guide for my family and me! We went to Kifune shrine and it was beautiful - cooler and quieter than the main areas. Yuki organised the most spectacular lunch for us too along Kibune river. She was very flexible and knew so much history and culture of Kyoto. Thank you Yuki for organising an incredible day in Kyoto :)

          Kyoto 6h local guide tour
Tour was well organized by our guide Kazz, good thing that we were provided with map and list of places to visit, so we could adjust to our own wishes what we wanted to visit. After few adjustments, we enjoyed our day in Kyoto. There were no language barrier as guide was well prepared and spoke decent English.

          Guided tour around Tokyo
Kei was a fantastic tour guide. He took us on a 4 hour tour around Tokyo. He helped us to navigate the subways with maps and helped us to purchase tickets etc. He made contact before the tour to organise a schedule that suited our itinerary. He also brought us to a local restaurant to taste some delicious ramen. He was a knowledgeable guide, giving us information we wouldn't have acquired otherwise as we moved the tour. He was extremely helpful and friendly, which made the tour even more enjoyable.

A fantastic and interesting day with Tomoko-san!
We had a fantastic and interesting day with our guide Tomoko-san (language English). We learned a lot about the Geisha and Samurai life during the Edo period and visited the most beautiful places. We really appreciated Tomoko-sans deep knowledge in all aspects of Japanese culture and her enthusiasm when sharing it with us. On top of that Tomoko-san is very friendly and kind. We strongly recommend Tomoko-san and any tour she may guide. Eva & Mikael from Sweden

We had an absolutely wonderful day yesterday on the “off the beaten track” tour. Our guide, An, could not have been more helpful and informative. Her level of English was outstanding and she was a mine of information; not just about the sights we were seeing but also about Japanese culture in general. We visited places we would never have found on our own and had a truly memorable and all round splendid day. Highly reccomended. Thank you, An!

We had a great tour of Tokyo with our guide Hideki Kawashima. The tour was completely tailored to what we wanted to do, see and eat. Hideki was totally flexible to change plans during the tour to meet our needs and also made great recommendations on some must see’s on our only day in Tokyo. Hideki has perfect English and is very knowledgeable about all things Tokyo and Japan, we truly enjoyed our day together.

Can recommend to anyone looking to experience the highlights of Tokyo in one day :)

Dear my guests, Thank you for your kind review submitted to TripAdvisor. That made me a bit flattered, but it is really my pleasure that you could enjoy the tour. As a guide, I appreciate very much the way you participated actively in the tour by telling me your requests frankly. I should rather say that the tour was fairly successful due to your enthusiasm and commitment. Thank you and best regards, Hideki

Tatsu was an excellent guide. During the planning phase he communicated clearly by email and planned a route based on our interest. He took us to 3 neighborhoods, asakusa, shibamata, and yanaka. We got an excellent tour and sampling of Japanese culture. Tatsu spoke very good English, gave good narration, and took good pictures. He said in between tours he reads and takes the time to plan the tour and it shows in the final results. He also thinks for the little details. For example when we come out of the restroom he’ll have paper towels and a trash bag ready for us because often times Japanese restrooms, while very clean and equipped with bidets, do not have soap, hot water, or hand dryer/paper towels. So it’s very nice to have paper towels ready before your hands turn purple from the cold! Overall, excellent tour and guide. I highly recommend Tatsu as a guide.

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. Although it must have been a bit cold for you during the tour, I am glad to know that you could enjoy the tour. This route is one of my favorite routes, especially the sculptures of Taishakuten Temple and Yamamoto-tei Garden. Thank you again and I look forward to serving you in the near future again. Tatsu

Kahori was our guide and took us to many back street areas of Tokyo that are not tourist packed. We experienced a great puppet show at this little theatre shop down a side street.
The neighborhood strolls were very different than downtown Tokyo.
A great way to get away from the large crowds and definitely fun experiencing the Metro.

Thank you Shun. A great tour of Tokyo. Tour was planned on our preferences and we covered a lot of territory. He really knew his way around the Tsukiji market and the best places to eat. We got see the fishmongers stores and all of the wonderful seafood of Japan. The nearby shrine started an all day conversation about Japanese history and religion. Ginza wasn’t just a wander past the high end fashion stores as we went to tsutaya bookstore which was fabulous and something we would never have found on our own.
The imperial palace furthered our conversation about Japanese history and heritage and role in current culture. Even at Asakusa temple where there are tourists everywhere,Shun took us to the almost deserted shrine next door to give us more insight.
A fabulous introduction to Tokyo- and we even sort of understand the metro now.
Thoroughly recommend Shun as great guide.

It is the delightful comments to hear! When you visit tourist spots, if you have a chance to know the background of the spots you may interested in and enjoy there much more. That’s why I try to explain the history, culture, current situations surrounding there and so on, not only the something you see. I’m glad the guests enjoyed the tour with me! Shun

We had a fantastic day with Emi and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Tokyo has SO MUCH to offer, but this tour definitely was our highlight. We visited some of the most important sights and got an insider's view into this fascinating city. Emi helped us to get a first overview of this massive place. We would totally book the tour with her again and spend another day with her.

My husband and i were visiting Tokyo for the first time and only for a few days so we thought taking a tour was the quickest and best way to see the city.
Our guide was Hideki and he did not disappoint! He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He really did go above and beyond with advising us on all aspects of navigating Tokyo. During the six hours we had with Hideki, we saw a number of attractions, had a fantastic Ramen for lunch and learnt a lot.
I would highly recommend this tour & Hideki!

        5 stars all round.

(Ted) Tatsunobu Narita was our guide. He spoke excellent easily comprehensible English. He had a very warm and friendly disposition.

He came well organised and had sheets of information he presented to us and gave us at the end of the tour to compliment the sites and information he shared on route.

He also gave tips before we arrived in Japan and also once he understood our plans and likes after his tour gave us tips and links to help us get the most out of our stay. He took pictures too of us with ours and his phone which he shared after.

A lovely experience that offers flexibility if there is an overlap with other fixed tours you have booked.

Would recomend you book him early in your holiday so to help you get the most out of any free days you have after whilst in Japan.

        Can not praise Ted enough.

        Thank you so much

You booked this tour in November last year. We had enough time to talk to each other to create the tour and avoid any duplication to another tour you booked. The weather was good and we could see the great view of azalea flower blossoms at Nezu Shrine while we couldn't see cherry blossoms. I hope you enjoyed the stay in Tokyo. Ted

This was a great tour with Hideki Mori. If you're not into touristy excursions and want to learn a bit of history and see some very hip Tokyo neighborhoods with a knowledgeable guide, choose this one. Enjoyed visiting temples and shrines frequented by local people. Great eating at Mori san's favorite places.

Thank you for your review. I am very happy to know that you enjoyed the Tokyo_Off_the_Beaten_Path_Full-Day_Private_Tour. We visited two Tokyo downtown areas where you can encounter the local people and touch the local way of life. One is located inland, the other is the waterfront. I hope the tour gave you the opportunity to learn a bit of the history of Edo and Tokyo, too. Thank you again and hope to see you again in the near future. Hideki Mori (Mori san)

My guide Michio accompanied me to some amazing spots, less well-known in Tokyo that I would have not been to discover other wise. The garden and Edo-era museums we visited were really beautiful. My favorite was the quaint neighborhood of Shibamata and traditional Japanese house we visited with the garden, a highlight of the day ! Over all, Michio was really attentive I thoroughly enjoyed the tour
