Amazing experience. Megumi was an amazing guide and there is no way we could have experienced all we wanted to without her!

One of the best experiences we've had in Japan! Very welcoming instructors who made it accessible to us as novices. Just the right balance of letting us attempt to create something ourselves and guiding us along every step of the way, making sure the knives come out looking great in the end. The surrounding area is also definitely worth checking out - beautiful mountains, crystal clear rivers and lush green landscape.

Mizuho was our terrific guide to the Private Kyoto Mountain Hike. Out tour company cancelled out tour as a typhoon was hitting Japan and surrounding the Kyoto area. This tour company felt that it would not be safe for us if we hiked on the assigned day and offered a complete refund. However, the night before we were supposed to hike, the weather turned beautiful. Our hotel manager reached out to Mizuho late the night before and asked her if she could reorganize us for the hike. After a series of calls, Mizuho worked her magic, and we all spent an amazing day hiking alongside her to Mt. Kurama and Kibune. Mizuho spoke very good English and was so very knowledgeable on the history of the area. She even took us to special hidden spots that were not listed on the itinerary. Our lunch was sensational at a traditional Japanese restaurant along the river. A truly magical experience. Thank you very much, Mizuho. Warm regards, Georgene O'Rourke

The tour was wonderful, we saw a lot and learned so much from Mana. It was nice to see through this tour a side of Tokyo we were unlikely to see otherwise. Mana was knowledgeable, professional and spoke great English. Highly recommend for anyone interested in history, japanese culture and traditions

We absolutely loved spending the afternoon with Toshi what a wonderful guide, so kind, thoughtful and knowledgable. It was nice to be in a quiet calm area which is a big contrast to the busier areas of Tokyo, we would highly recommend this tour and of course a big thank you to Toshi!

What an unforgettable experience! The tour immersed us in the beauty of the Japanese countryside. And the tea master patiently guided us through every step of our tea-making journey with care and dedication. Hearing his story and tapping into his vast insider knowledge was not just inspiring but transformative as well. It gave us a whole new perspective and made us fall in love with the entire process.

 And then, the city tour with our guide, Kaori, was the perfect finishing touch! Her passion about Japanese culture is contagious, and her warm, engaging approach made the experience feel not only authentic but utterly magical. 

I would suggest this tour to anyone who wants to dive into the Japanese lifestyle in an unconventional way.

It was a very informative trip. I have lived in Kanto for over 10 years and I have never been to Nippori Yanaka area until today. Mana, our guide knew the location well, and had helpful paperwork visuals that added to the experience. I am training to be a guide myself, but there is no way I could ever surpass her tour ever.

Our tour guide was Miyuki san. She was very friendly and pleasant, we had a really good time with her. She took us to the Tota Museum and Kokoro castle, which were very enjoyable. We also went to the garden and enjoy the views there. Being vegan, she took us to a really nice fruit restaurant. It’s very difficult to find vegan food in Kokura so we really appreciate all the effort she want to plan our trip to find restaurants. We had a great time and would recommend her to anyone in the Fukuoka area.

An absolutely brilliant tour with just the right balance of history, culture, food and sightseeing. Akiko was the best guide of our 2 weeks in Japan and as an amazing bonus, her Mum joined us at the Peace Park to give us the benefit of her local knowledge. Going to the Nagasaki epicentre and museum was a really emotional experience and it ended beautifully with Akiko teaching us how to make origami cranes. Only 999 more to go 😊. An excellent day with two excellent women. Highly recommended.

Shizue was such an amazing tour guide, can't imagine the tour without her. She communicated well and made the experience unique and interesting.

The tour to the golden pavilion and the Kyoto residence of the Shogun during the Edo-period was very interesting and the best part of the tour. They were both very beautifully. I especially appreciated that they had preserved the forest covered hills behand the pavilion that made the pavilion to really stand out. And I liked the animals that were painted on the walls of the shogun reception rooms. The was quite nice, even if it was obvious that the artist had never seen tigress and leopards. We real appreciated our guide Yoshida. She was knowledgeful and very nice. Especially how she took care my wife, then she got a little tiered in the heat stands out. We liked her a lot.

Rimo was a very informative and friendly guide. She showed us all of the sites and helped us find a place to eat seared bonito, as well as some shopping for japanese cosmetics and animé. We had a great day, thank you Rimo 😊

Great experience ,pity the temperature was high. We hiked up and took cable car down . Guide was informative and interactive. Nice views from the summit except Mt Fujisan had cloud cover.

Just returned from a 3 week trip to Japan and I already want to return! We had a large 20 person family trip planned starting and ending in Tokyo. We had a 12 day cruise booked to get around Japan since it was easier to travel that way with 2 wheelchair users and several elderly travelers. Because we had some unique circumstances, we booked our own private excursions at each port. Based on the reviews online, I went with Omakase since they had some experience with travelers with limited mobility. And they did not disappoint!! But my favorite guide throughout our whole trip was MIYO. If you’re going to Osaka and Kyoto, see if you can get a tour with her!!! She is the sweetest, warmest and most accommodating person!! She really listens to your requests and your needs as a traveler and goes above and beyond! Several of my family members bonded with Miyo (including me!) and we could not have had a better time in Osaka and Kyoto with her. She really is a wonderful guide and helped to make our trip to Japan an unforgettable one!!! Thank you!!!

Kumiko, was great. She was very knowledgeable. She was a lot of fun and guided us very well. We had older and younger people and she made sure the older folks did not overdo while making the tour great for the younger group. We learned so much. She really made our short stay in Kochi very memorable.
